Doodle-y Doo Doodle fans!!! It’s Elizabeth here to show you what I’ve been busy creating! I am also on the lookout incorporating scrapbooking into our home any chance I can get and it’s the perfect time to do something like this because my daughter Alyssa is changing her room for a more grown up teen room! The Doodlebug Designs Colorwheel Collection is perfect for her room and the fun we are creating in there!
First up, I am using this frame that I got for sale at Michael’s. It was a great score since it was only 4 bucks!
It’s going to be turned into this…
I used three 12x12 sheets of patterned paper from the Colorwheel Collection.
I used the white mat inside the frame as a base when cutting my squares.
I wanted to ensure that each piece of pattern paper overlapped on the inside to help them stay placed. After measuring I cut the squares with my cutter.
They will look something like this. Next adhere them to the back of the mat with adhesive. This is the backside of the frame.
Once dried, you can begin to decorate with elements! For this part, I simply took the mat out of the frame. This is where the fun really begins!
Alyssa’s room is lime green, black, and white. So staying within those colors was something I really wanted to accomplish with this altered frame! I pulled out all of my Doodlebug Design supplies along with the Colorwheel Collection that I knew were going to work well with the frame and went to town!
The end product!
