First you need to gather your supplies: fabric, wonder under or heat n bond or some other fusible agent, shape for your applique, pencil, scissors and iron.
The first step is to trace your shape onto the paper side of your fusible web.
Next, place your fusible web on the wrong side of the fabric. Follow the manufacturer's instructions use the iron to fuse the web to the fabric.
Cut out your shape and then peel off the paper backing.
Center your shape onto your 4 1/2" block and again use the manufacturer's instructions to fuse the shape to the fabric.
For this particular quilt you will need 25 squares. Sew them together in a pleasing pattern, then add a 3" border on two opposite sides. Quilt and bind and you have your very own Ladybug garden. This would also make a darling spring table topper, if you don't have a doll who needs a blanket.
