Hi everyone! Jodi here today to share with you a fun layout inspired by our very own design team member Melinda Spinks. I marvel at her work! I have always loved her unique style and last year when she posted her layout, Make Life a Big Adventure. I couldn't wait to try it out. Here is the layout I created and the layout following in the Melinda's:
And here is Melinda's layout:
I loved how she kept the colors in four spots in the circle, and to make this technique work for me I decided to go for a square and then use the colors in the photo to blend it all together.
I used a variety of embellishments: Stickers, Sprinkles, Buttons, Twine, Washi Tape from a variety of Collection New & Old! That is my most favorite thing about Doodlebug... the colors of old and new collections can always be combined for something unique, fun and fresh!
Oh I love this page. The layout is wonderful and the colors are so bright and cheery. Does the birthday girl's name begin with an L? The twine makes a lot of L's and that would be a really cool little touch for her.
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie! My daughters name is Taylor! But I love the idea using the twine for a name!! Thanks so much!
