This year I was asked create a set of 2 for a brother and sister. So I used Christmas Town for one and decided to use Here Comes Santa Claus (an older collection) for the other. Here they are all dressed and ready for the Holidays.
I don't know about you, but our Christmas decorations go up just before Thanksgiving and don't come down until after the New Year. So I wanted to make sure I had all the bases covered.
Each Nutcracker is holding a sign ( a "this and that" sticker mounted to wood) that can be displayed throughout the Christmas season. The small dowels on the signs are to hold Countdown and Happy New Year cards.
All the cards can be stored in the colorful boxes below each base.
Here are a few close ups before I go.
Thanks for joining me today and Happy Holidays!

These are so wonderful!!! I love the countdown feature!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of your creativity. These are stunning! I assume that you started with a plain Nutcracker and decorated it with the papers that you mentioned and painted some of the features. I would love to know where you got the Nutcrackers. My daughter buys one every year when we attend the performance and she would love to have one of these. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Isabel! :) The Nutcrackers are from Hobby Lobby.
DeleteSee, I can't get them off my mind. I forgot to ask how you went about decorating them. A tutorial would be fabulous!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't have a tutorial to share. I had one on the Helmar USA blog, but the link to the creative team is not working.
DeleteOMG! That is so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what you create for the season!! These are amazing!! You have outdone yourself!!
