Hello, Doodlebug fans. Just "popping" in to share this fun new project for International Scrapbook Day 2020. For this piece, I used the adorable pastry and toaster file from the So Punny collection, and I love how it turned out.
For the front and sides of the toaster, I used a combination of prints from the Love Notes collection. The floral print is quite busy, so to help the face standout, a white shape outlined with some chunky twine was applied, then the eyes, mouth, and cheeks were added.
A toaster is useless without a plug. So I decided to add one. Two strands of chunky twine glued together created the cord. Layers of chipboard make up the plug.
Thanks for joining me today and have fun scrapping on NSD 2020

This is absolutely AMAZING!! Your projects just keep getting better and better! I'm now craving a pop tart...
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! So this isn’t a 3-D cut file. You just made it like that, right, because I cannot find it and wanted to purchase it. Thank you in advance!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gee!
DeleteThe link for the toaster and pop tarts are listed in the supply list. You're right it isn't a 3d file but I did use it to make this project.
How did you do the buttons on the right side? This is amazing, by the way!
ReplyDeleteHi there. The large button on the side was made from layers of chipboard and foamboard. The smaller buttons are wood pieces that were covered with patterned paper.
DeleteThis is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love Pop Tarts
and it's so fun.
