Welcoming a little one to the world? Today I'm sharing a "Special Delivery" sign that can be hung on mom's hospital door and then in baby's room!
For this particular sign, I used a 12X15 pre-made wooden palette sign; you could also use a heavy sheet of chipboard or a solid wood piece.
Because the slats on the palette were horizontal, I cut strips of paper in the same fashion. I trimmed each strip slightly smaller than each slat so that some of the wood would show through.
From The Dollar Tree I found this mini chalkboard that measures 6X7.5". After adding pom trim around the backside of the board, I adhered it to the center of the palette using foam adhesive tape.
I used borders strips from the collection's sticker sheet and Skinny alphabet stickers to add the information to the board.
To the top of the chalkboard I attached a bow and a small cluster of die-cuts and Doodle Pops!
I pulled several different animal die-cuts and created a little parade at the bottom! Next, I layered on the smaller star and heart die-cuts, stickers and Doodle Pop pieces with foam adhesive.
I finished the sign off with a few Sprinkles and a button for the middle of the bow!
I hope you enjoyed this idea for putting together a quick welcome sign and will give it a try if needed :)
