NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS TAG BOX | with Traci

Hello sweet friends! Every year I look forward to making my own gift tags for our Christmas presents.  They are small projects, so if I have 10 minutes of crafty time I can make one ... if I have more time, I can make a bunch.  As I make them, I usually save them in a plastic bag until I start wrapping my gifts.  This year, I decided to make a fun little box to keep them in.  Not only will it be practical storage, but it's also so cute I can leave it out during the holidays as part of my decor.

I used a box from Graphic 45 (Kraft Staples Book Box) and covered it with white card stock first.  The stripe from Night Before Christmas is one of my favorite sheets so I added it around the sides of the box.  I added some light die cuts from the Odds & Ends and then I layered the ladybug side of the jolly st. nick pattern with white card stock for the top.

The fun part about this project is adding all of the cute embellishments to the top.  I started with 2 large DoodlePops (6964 tinsel time and 6968 stocking stuffers) and then added bits and pieces from the icon sheet, visions of sugarplums sprinkles, Christmas matte and enamel sprinkles, Christmas wishes shape sprinkles, and Christmas jewel assortment.  The little word stickers are from the This and That sheet.

For the inside, I kept it simple and lined the sides and bottom with pattern paper.  This is actually a two-part project so I hope you'll come back to the blog later this month to see all of the cute tags I make to store inside.   Once I use all the tags on my gifts, I'll fill the box with candy or cards, and then load it up with tags again next year!  I hope this project puts you in a crafty Christmasy mood!   Thanks for stopping by!
