Looking for a way to use up your thin paper strips? Today I am going to share a quick and easy way to use them on your layouts using the Let It Snow collection.
The strips on my page are 3/4" thick and I have created a fan tail at the top and bottom of each strip. I laid them out across my layout base which is a piece of white textured cardstock.
To add some dimension to the strips I rolled up the ends of the tops and bottoms of each strip. I used some white acrylic paint and splattered it all over my page using a thin paint brush. I wanted the paint to look like snow all over my layout.
Each strip is a different length and I had fun arranging them on the page. You could also lay them out vertically on your page. For my photo I matted it on a piece of pattern paper from the Let It Snow 6x6 paper pad and layered up some tags behind the photo from the bits & pieces.
I added some fun tabs from the 12x12 this & that sticker sheet and embellished around the photo. I used the large Christmas die cut from the chit chat Let It Snow die cut pack.
In the top left corner of the layout I also created another embellishment cluster using die cuts, stickers and shape sprinkles. To finish the layout I used a few different packs of shape sprinkles and added them all around the page in the white space and I love all the texture it adds to the page. Here is a look at the completed layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to create using some paper strips!
