6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - DOODLE POP STORAGE ALBUM | with Karen

I am not sure about you, but when I was growing up, I loved collecting stickers. I had a photo album that I used to collect my treasures and while I often traded them with friends, I had favourites that I would never part with. I would like to say that I grew out of my sticker collecting, but the truth is that I just "upped" my game by moving from scratch and sniff varieties to Doodlebug varieties - namely, DOODLEPOPS!! It is safe to say that my collection is a little out of hand, so I decided to sort them out and capture my favourites in a new" sticker book" featuring the 2.0 version of my photo album - A Doodlebug 6x8 album.

   Cover-1

And today - I get to show off the cover that I made for my sticker book! This album was the coral colour and I love the warmth of the colour. It reminded me of one of my all time favourite Doodle Pops - Fruit Cocktail and the Seaside Summer collection.

  Cover-embellishment

I love this Doodle Pop not only because it has amazing dimension but it has these adorable shaped confetti pieces inside. It seemed like the perfect Doodle Pop for the cover - full of fun and colour. I layered it with some of the Bits and Pieces (because florals are also some of my favourite icons) and then layered them all on top of a strip of the 12x12 patterned paper that I added along the edge of the binding. I did use a liquid adhesive for applying all of the pieces to make sure they were sealed down right to the edges so it wouldn't catch on anything as I was taking it off the shelf.

  Inside-covers

I even added a few more floral elements on the inside front and back covers to finishing off edges and add some more playful elements.

  Lettering

I then used the Sunshine Alphas as the tile of my album running them sideways along the 12 x12 paper to add some interest.

  Side-cover

I added my little label and played with the use of it by simply adding a sticker that says "happy" from the 12x12 sticker sheet in the Seaside Summer Collection.

  Cover-2

Finally I topped everything off with a few Mini Jewels to add some sparkle - also using liquid adhesive to make sure they would stay put, especially on the amazing fabric binding. I am absolutely loving the way the cover has turned out. Oh, and if Doodle Pop collecting is not your thing (say what, now?!!), I also think this would be the perfect cover for an album of a trip to a warm and sunny location. I can't wait to start working on the inside! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - OUR HAPPY FAMILY ALBUM | with Brianna

Have you seen our new 6"x8" albums?  These petite albums are available in 14 colors and each album has 5 chipboard tab dividers, 4 colored inserts, 4 pocket pages,  and 10 assorted page protectors!  To kick off the new year, we challenged our Design team to each create a mini album using these fun new books.  Every couple of weeks, you'll see inspiration and new designs as each designer builds their album! Some of the books will be centered around a certain theme, some around everyday memory keeping!  All albums will be full of fun ideas and inspiration for you! We are kicking off our 6"x8" album inspiration with Brianna!

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I couldn't wait to share the cover of my 6x8 album with y'all today! I'm so excited that I will be able to share this album with y'all in steps. There's a lot of love going into creating this album, so it will be nice to highlight the process as well as the pages with you all. So for today, here's the cover. Make sure to stay tuned for my next post where I'll be sharing a few completed pages!

I was so lucky to be able to choose the album color I wanted to work with and I selected Mint. If you know me, I love mint and this album is gorgeous! First, I decided to add a large bow on the left side of it using some wide white ribbon with gold on the edges. It couldn't have been more perfect for my cover. I purchased it at Target over the Christmas season a few years ago. I did feel like it needed a little something extra, so I added a couple of adorable Little Charmers to it! I chose the Mini Maple and Country Pumpkin charms and tied them to a piece of thread. I then simply tied the thread to my ribbon and I love the cuteness factor that it adds to my bow!

Next, I worked on my embellishment cluster that I wanted to add in bottom right corner. I wanted somewhat of a base for all of my embellishments to kind of sit on, so I pulled out a few circle punches and punched out circles from papers in the 6x6 Paper Pad. I added some faux stitching using a black gel pen around the edges and then adhered them down. I love how the faux stitching turned out. It gave them a nice finished, cohesive look.

I then pulled a few die cuts from the Odds and Ends pack as well as the Bits & Pieces pack and created a cute little scene. I even added a few of the Mini Icons stickers since they were the perfect size to add right on top of the house piece. So adorable!!

For the title of my album, I selected the 'Our Happy Family' banner from the Chit Chat pack since I plan on filling this album with a bunch of photos of my family. The black stitching around the banner matched my stitching on the circles and I love how it all went together! Lastly, I added a few floral Puffy Icons stickers and that was it! I love how my cover turned out, here's one last look:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Do you enjoy making album covers? I do!! I can't wait to show you a few pages from the inside of this album! See you next time friends!

TINSEL TIME CHRISTMAS LIGHTS LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day celebrating! Have you got the new Tinsel Time collection yet? It is SO beautiful and perfect to document all of your Christmas memories. Each year our family loves to go and see all the Christmas lights displays in our area and the Tinsel Time collection captures some of the photos I took brilliantly.

I first chose 3 background patterned papers from the Tinsel Time collection, they were the 'B' side of 'Berry Merry', the 'B' side of 'Snow Bright' and the 'B' side of 'Tree Trimmings'. I kept the Berry Merry paper at 12' x 12' and trimmed down the Snow Bright paper to 11' x 11' and the Tree Trimmings paper to 10' x 10' and adhered them all together so there were bordered of each paper.

I chose a Christmas Lights cut file to go with the theme of my page and backed it with the 6' x 6' paper pad version of the Berry Merry paper. I then adhered the cut file to the centre of the papers using foam tape. I added 2 photos, 1 in the top left of the cut file and 1 in the bottom right of the cut file also using foam tape.

Next was my favorite part, embellishing!!! I placed the beautiful pink Christmas Cottage Doodle Pop to the bottom left corner of the cut file, Doodle Pops are my favorite! How about you?! I placed the stocking die-cut from the Bits and Pieces pack at the bottom of the cut file and also added the strings of lights also from the Bits and Pieces pack. I placed the Twinkle Lights Shape Sprinkles over the top of the light die-cuts.

The house and foliage die-cut is from the Bits and Pieces pack and the lamp post die-cut is from the Odds and Ends pack. I also added the lamp post from the Snow Wonderful Doodle Pop too. At the very top of my page, I took the individual lights and added them using foam tape and then added some silver twine to mimic the lights being hung as one strand.

I love how my layout turned out and I hope you enjoy reading how I created it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Happy creating!

TINSEL TIME MINI | with Niella

As Santa and his elves get back to the North Pole and start working on Christmas 2025, after a break of course, I'd like to say a HUGE thanks crafty crew for being such great support for us here on the Doodlebug Blog and socials! I have loved bringing you all inspiration through the year and we wouldn't be anywhere without sharing, liking, commenting and being such loyal followers of all things Doodlebug :-) For my last Tinsel Time project, I've created a 6"x3" mini album as the season comes to a close and it's now time to memory keep! There's a super fun video showcase at the end of this post to see all the pages, so grab a beverage and some snacks as you scroll on through today's post!

When I saw this darling reindeer, I just had to have him on my front cover! He is from the cute Odds & End ephemera pack and to jazz him up, I've added a Ladybug Sprinkle over his nose to create Rudolph! Isn't he perfect? Then using Doodle Twine and the Icons stickers, I strung a charming ornament line, super cute!

Skipping ahead a page, here is a cute feature, a ticket fold. Add a photo and hidden journaling, or even a cluster of stickers and shape sprinkles! How adorable is the winking Santa mug! I wish I had this as an actual mug heehee!

On the next page, we have extra details here as I love adding vellum! It allows the viewer to still see the patterned paper, which is Dashing Deer,  yet it adds extra areas for photos and/or journaling! How cute are the puffy and sprinkles stickers! Darling. I also love adding tabs to all the pages :-)

This next spread has one of my personal favorite patterned papers; Christmas Candy! How stinkin' cute are the hard rock candies, ribbon candies and the candy canes! One can never have enough to eat and gift! Yummy!

Next page is a fold out spread. On the fold out you can add mini photos, quotes from family, lists and well, just about anything worth documenting. How about a list of your favorite gifts you gave or received!

The candy jars on this spread are so lovely! They are tied with pretty ribbon and ready for gifting! You can flip down the scallop edges which extends the page to have more room for your memories! It's so simple, yet so fun & functional! The Shape Sprinkles give delicate eye candy and twinkle.

And now we come to the last page in this 6"x3" mini album! I stitched the matching cardstock from the Tinsel Time collection and adhered the lamp and sleigh ephemera pieces to the back page. I used pop dots/squares to get the layers to pop, it's the best tip!

Thank you again for popping by crafty crew! I hope you've found inspiration today! Please remember to tag us in our your Socials when you create with Doodlebug so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations.

Thanks for stopping by y'all, until next time doodle dee!

TINSEL TIME MERRY & BRIGHT LAYOUT | with Tya

Hello there - I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you and yours well for the upcoming new year! Sooo - now that Christmas has passed, it's the perfect time to dive into all of those festive photos and start preserving those magical memories in scrapbook layouts! For today's post, I'm sharing a fun and festive layout featuring the adorable Tinsel Town collection. As you can see, this cheerful collection is so bright and colorful - it was just a joy to create with!

I based my layout on a favorite photo from my recent trip to Disneyland - because what better way to relive the holiday magic than through a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth? Let's jump into all the details of this project!

I have always wanted to do a layout with a smattering of these 3D stars across it - I have a layout like this pinned to my favorite layout Pinterest board that features this type of embellishing and I knew that with these pretty colors, this would be a great collection and photo to do this embellishing!
My photo is backed with layers of textured cardstock and the pretty plaid paper on the Festive Floral paper is just the right touch for my photo. Since the photo was taken in front of the Christmas tree on Main Street, it seemed right to add a die-cut tree and lights to the layout. These are from the Odds and Ends and cute light strands are from the Bits and Pieces. I also added a few banner strips of pattern papers and Petite Prints from the collection. The silvery mulit -colored dots that I used for my background is the Snow Bright paper and it's perfect!
The "Merry and Bright" title is from the Chit Chat die cuts and I loved how it perfectly summed up my photo of me with my mom and girls - such a fun memory with them!
For my stars, I used a metal die and then used some Textured cardstock and Petite Prints to make them. I scored each point and then folded on the lines to make a few of them 3D. It really adds great dimension to the layout. I also added some little sparkle stickers from the Puffy Stickers, and some of the Sprinkles on some of the centers. For some added sparkle and shine - I used some Stickles glitter glue to accentuate some of the stars.

For my journaling on this layout, I decided to add some hidden journaling tucked behind my photo. I used one of the tags from the Bits and Pieces pack, typed up my journaling and added it to the tag. I topped the tag with some Cupcake Twine and a heart die cut. More sparkle from the Stickles was added here as well. If you find yourself not having a lot of room to journal on your layouts - this technique with the hidden tag is great!

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope this layout inspires you to pull out your favorite holiday photos, grab the Tinsel Town collection, and start creating beautiful layouts that beautifully capture your cherished memories. Scrapbooking is such a meaningful way to preserve these moments for future generations to enjoy and connect with. Wishing you all a season filled with joy, creativity, lots of color, and love - Happy Holidays and Happy Scrapping!

TINSEL TIME COOKIES FOR SANTA | with Miguel

Merry Christmas!  It's incredible to see how time flies, I can hardly believe that this is the last project of 2024 and obviously it had to be very special! I made  this project for Santa Claus with a lot of love!

I tell you, I wanted to surprise Santa in a very special way! Leaving him the traditional cookies, so I made a box with the cardboard technique and the Tinsel Time collection and the result is adorable!

I placed many cookies for Santa inside the box and decorated the outside with the odds & ends and I love how they look!

I decorated the lid with Odds & Ends and Chit Chat pieces and of course I added sprinkles to give that shine that I love so much!

And what is a gift without a beautiful bow! I placed it on the lid with a December 25th tag, which of course is when we all wait for the arrival of our dear Santa!

I take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2025. Sincerely, your friend,

TINSEL TIME CHRISTMAS LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Just one more day until we celebrate the jolliest season of the year! I am sure that you are all ready to take the photos, eat the food, open the present, and make the memories. So what better way to relive them than to document them with the fun and beautiful Tinsel Time collection. I pulled some past memories of my children for today's layout:

I just love how this layout came together using a simple design and all the embellishments that I could add here.

I started by framing a piece of the coordinating cardstock with the Berry Merry, and Tinsel Time papers. Next, I pulled pieces from the Odds & Ends pack to create the light garlands under the bell bough at the top of the page.

I decided to back the photos with papers from the 6x6 pad, and then adhered to the base so that they sit right under the light strings. I mixed die cuts from the Bits & Pieces pack to create the large cluster to the right of the photos.

To complete the line of embellishments at the bottom of the photos, I added the cute reindeer Doodle Pop to the left of the photos and then pulled a piece of Chit Chat to create my title.

A few Sprinkles around the embellishments complete this page. I just love it! And I hope it gives you inspiration for your next crafty project featuring Tinsel Time!
I want to take this space to wish you all a blessed Christmas, and may 2025 be filled with joy and peace! XO

TINSEL TIME SHAKER GIFT TAGS | with Kathy

We are officially down to the wire!  It's time to get all of those Christmas gifts wrapped and put under the tree!  I decided to add some fun Tinsel Time Shaker Tags to some of my gifts this year... take a peek...

I started with some Tag Dies from my stash.  I cut them from some Tinsel Time Coordinating Textured Cardstock.  I lined the bottom tag piece (without the window)  with some fun papers from the 6x6 pad.  I love the smaller prints, they work perfectly for projects like this.  I covered the open window of the tags with some Heavyweight Acetate.  I added some double sided 1/8"foam tape to outline the window, filled it with some fun shakers then attached the top tag to the bottom!  All that was left was to decorate which was easy with all the fun Puffy Stickers, Shaped Sprinkles, mini Jewels, Icon Stickers, Odds & Ends and Bits & Pieces!  Here are some close-ups...

On the "B" side of the Happy Holly Days 6x6 paper are word strips that are great for cards & tags.  I used them for sentiments on my tags.  I also added some fun Glitter Sprinkles from the Christmas Assortment to some of the ornaments.

In addition to Doodlebug Shaker balls, I also used the Happy Holidays and Jolly Holly Shakers.  I also added some shaped sprinkles from the Christmas Candy Shaped Sprinkles.

To top my tags I stapled some grosgrain ribbon using my tiny attacher stapler.  They are all set to be added to my gifts!

Here's a little video of my tags.... it's always more fun to see things in motion!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful, safe & healthy Holiday season.  I'll be back in the new year with some more Doodlebug projects!  Thanks for stopping by to peek.
