TINSEL TIME CHRISTMAS BOARD GAME | with Niella

The days are long but the years are definitely short when it comes to December and Christmas! Hi crafty crew, so happy to see you here today! Welcome, I have a fun treat today with the new Tinsel Time collection ! I also made one last year with the Gingerbread Kisses collection! And a quick video at the end to give you an inspiration station of ideas! Let's take a fun-tastic look at my project: a Tinsel Time tiny board game! It's so fun & cutie-ful!

Look at the cutest details a board game has ever had to show! In the middle is the Christmas Cottage Doodle-Pop that I've dressed with faux snow using my hot glue gun and some faux snow, it turned out so whimsical and magic! Knock on the door and a wee little elf will welcome you in :-)

To start, I used the 6x6 paper pad and cut the Berry Merry patterned paper landscape so that I have four rows of six squares in numeral order. Then I laid down a sheet of white cardstock from the coordinating cardstock pack, which I love because all the matching colors are included. After I adhered the rows of squares down, I cut out the middle part so I was left with a frame. Then I adhered the frame onto the tone on tone patterned paper Tinsel Time.

I mounted that onto another sheet of white cardstock to create a sturdy foundation,  Super neat! Once all this was in place, I started to decorate my board with icon stickers and sprinkles galore! You could use any bits and pieces you have, here, I used Doodlebug Shaker Balls and Snowflakes, candy from the Happy Holidays Shakers and Sprinkles and mini icon stickers!

I cut random melted ice puddles out of cardstock and laid them down before decorating. Each puddle adds a sweet detail to the board! And how cute are those mini icon reindeer stickers ? They're planning something special to help Santa and Mrs. Claus with this festive season! I also made super cute player counters from the Puffy Stickers! They are each mounted on a piece of folded clear acetate so look like they're each standing. Darling!

Roll the extra cute pie pink dice and move to your space! Land on a square with a Doodlebug logo and pick a card! Players can win whatever you've written on the back - how about a candy cane, a pack of stickers, chocolate or a hot cocoa as a prize! Endless ideas!

Last of all, I added a tiny pink (of course!) Christmas Tree to give my board that last magical touch! This board game also doubles as a cute decorative piece for your home or it could be a gift!  I'm sure this will be next on your crafty to-do list! As an extra sweet treat, here is my video showcase!
