6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - BUNNY HOP ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Crafty Friends, I am so excited about the projects we have been sharing with you this week!  The design team has been working with the new 6" x 8" albums, this week focusing on the cover pages, using any collection that inspires us. I absolutely adore and chose the Bunny Hop Collection—it reminds me of spring, and those pastel colors are my favorite!

I'm always looking for fun ways to use the Shadow Box Insert Kits; they are so much fun to assemble. For the cover of this album, I used the Shadow Box Insert Kit from the Bunny Hop Collection. I started by layering the sprinkle stickers and cardstock stickers using the template. The template creates a circle layout.  I wanted to cover the entire front cover so to achieve this, I added gems, more enamel dots, and sprinkles to complete the corners.

Next, I worked with the Bunny Hop Collection's 12" x 12" double-sided paper in Springtime Stripe. I trimmed the paper to 6 1/4" x 8 1/2" and adhered the vellum design from the insert kit on top of it. Using my sewing machine, I added stitches around the embellishments to create a framed effect before attaching it to my 6" x 8" album with liquid glue.

On the left side of the album, I created a ribbon cluster using colors to match the collection. I also added the Bunny Hop Collection's Just Charming Clip and Key Chain. I used the "Hello" and "You Warm My Heart " sentiments from the chit-chat pieces to finish the album cover.

6 X 8 Mini Albums - Winter Wonderland Album Cover | with Jen

Doodlebug 6x8 Albums are here and they're amazing! The new albums have a beautiful laminated cover, canvas covered spine, and come in 14 delicious Doodlebug Colors. Each album has 5 tabbed chipboard inserts, four heavy cardstock inserts, and 10 page protectors in four configurations.

For my project I decided to use the adorable Snow Much Fun collection with a lilac album. On the front I used my mountain shaker I made as a design team project a few months ago and it fit perfectly. My tutorial for how to make shakers out of Doodlebug SVG Files can be found here.

I matted my cover with one of the plaid side of the Ice Crystals paper.  I cut it to 6 1/4" x 8 1/2" to get the perfect white border around the edges. I added a Chit Chat Piece and a border sticker from the This and That sticker sheet.

My shaker is layered and gives good dimension to the cover. I used the Flurry and Ice Crystals Doodlebug Shakers.

To finish my cover,  I added snowflakes from the Bits and Pieces and Clouds from the Odds and Ends. I added a little Yeti from the Icon stickers peeking out from behind the mountain.

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - WINTER WONDERLAND ALBUM COVER | with Traci

Happy New Year! Traci here and today, I'm sharing a fun winter scrapbook idea using one of the brand new 6x8 Mini Albums. When the design team was asked to create a project with them, I was thrilled. I'm a mini album girl and use these binder albums all the time. They are fabulous and come in 14 beautiful colors!

Today, I'm explaining how I designed this album's cover. Then, in future posts I'll be sharing the pages inside.

For my album, I chose the swimming pool binder. It's one of my favorite colors. Then, I decorated it with the adorable Winter Wonderland Collection making it the perfect keepsake for your snow-filled memories.

To start, I covered the white section of the front with the 12x12 Just Chillin' pattern paper. I love all of the cute little snowmen.

I wanted to create a winter scene so I cut a snow hill out of lily white card stock and adhered that on top.

Next, I chose some adorable die cuts from the Odds & Ends to decorate. I tucked the cabin and 3 different tree pieces in behind the snow. Then I adhered the snowman, the reindeer, and the tree on top. I also added the word bubble die cut from the Chit Chat.

I had the perfect white ribbon with aqua dots so I tied that around the front cover and into a big bow.

On the album's spine, there's a bookplate that's perfect for reference. I added a small piece of the Just Chillin (stripe) paper inside. For an extra fun detail, I attached the Just Charming Clip and Key Chain from the Snow Much Fun Collection to it for the perfect finishing touch.

Look how cute! These 6x8 inch photo-safe Mini Albums are so much fun to create keepsakes with. Their quality is amazing and I love that they come in so many pretty colors that coordinate perfectly with ANY Doodlebug collection. I also appreciate their white covers making them super versatile.

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - DECEMBER ALBUM | with Erica

Hello crafty friends! Happy New Year! Erica here and I’m so excited to share my latest project for the Doodlebug Design creative team! We are sharing our album covers using the 6x8 mini albums and I am using one in the Cupcake color. Using the adorable and festive Tinsel Time collection, I created a bright and cheerful cover that sets the tone for all the holiday memories inside.

To start, I added a scalloped border sticker from the This & That Sheet along the left edge of the album cover. This simple step frames the design beautifully and introduces a pop of coordinating color. Next, I chose a large Chit Chat title piece to anchor the design. Its bold, festive typography serves as the centerpiece of the cover and instantly grabs attention.

I added various Odds & Ends pieces around the title to build a layered and dimensional design. Next I added some of the Tinsel Time sprinkles around the center and on the die cut pieces for some sparkle and texture! For the finishing touches, I tied some trims around the album, adding texture and movement. I also attached the Just Charming clip for a decorative accent that ties everything together.

I absolutely love how this album cover turned out! The soft pink of the Cupcake album pairs perfectly with the festive elements from the Tinsel Time collection. The layered ephemera and playful details make this cover a joyful introduction to the memories it holds. It’s colorful, whimsical, and filled with holiday cheer!
