BUNNY HOP EASTER TOGETHER LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here and I'm so excited that it's almost Spring!! Bring on the sunshine and all of the soft and pretty colors. The new Bunny Hop collection is so adorable and I had a lot of fun using it to document some photos of my boys on Easter a few years back. Even as teenagers, they still love to hunt for eggs and I hope to continue it year after year. Here's my page:

To start, I went through the patterned papers and chose both the Springtime Stripe and Everything Easter 12x12 papers. I loved the stripes from the Springtime Stripe paper and trimmed two strips of it to adhere to the sides of the Everything Easter paper. I wanted my photos and embellishments to pop, so I adhered a piece of white cardstock to the center of my page and then added stitching using my sewing machine.

Next, I matted my photos using the 6x6 Paper Pad and layered a large journaling piece from the Bits & Pieces pack. Since I had two photos, I needed one more to go behind my other photo, so I used one of the stickers on the Cardstock Sticker sheet. It was perfect! I then added some floral pieces from the Odds & Ends pack and layered them into the four corners of my page.

For my title, I used two words from the Chit Chat pack and adhered them to the center of my page. I popped the 'together' word up on foam tape to make sure it stood out a bit more. I also thought it would be cute if I framed it using a few eggs from the Colored Eggs Shape Sprinkles and the Odds & Ends pack.

Here's my other photo cluster that I adhered to the bottom left of my page. I felt like the top left and bottom right corners needed some large ephemera to fill in the space, so I pulled in two adorable bunnies and adhered them down.

Next, I added a few more embellishments using the Icons stickers and some of the Puffy Icons stickers. I also added in some sparkle with the Easter Mini Jewels.

This color palette and all of the adorable elements make me so happy! I can't wait to create with it again! Here's one last look:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I'll see you in my next post friends!

LOTS OF LOVE SO HAPPY TOGETHER LAYOUT | with Nathalie

It is time to celebrate all the things about love! And what better way than with the beautiful Lots of Love collection. I just love all the colors and designs in the collection, they are perfect to document all the things and people you love in such a cute way. Let me show you what I have created:

My daughter loves her little cousins, and the feeling is mutual. I just wanted to document them all together in their happiest moments.

I started by sticking to a small color palette ( white, teal, pink and fucshia). The patterned papers in the collection are just perfection, so it was all about playing with pieces of them to create a layered look for the page.

There is nothing happier than a rainbow to brighten a mood. I decided to combine pieces from the Odds and Ends pack, Stickers, and sprinkles to bring rainbows to the page. I clustered a few clouds and have rainbows peeking from them... just so cute!!!

Chit Chat pieces always make for the perfect title. And the design just worked to have the title placement on point. I repeated the cloud clusters, and added a few sparkles to complete the spread.

I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration to document all your love things with the gorgeous Lots of Love collection from Doodlebug. XO

DAY TO DAY AUGUST CALENDAR | with Kathy

Have you enjoyed the Design Team's Day to Day inspiration?  There are so many ways to use this collection... you can use it as a planner, a way to document your memories... they would even make a fabulous calendar gift with photos for friends and family!  I'm completing our posts with the month of August!  Summer is a fun time in our world... we spend our weekends with friends and family on the water! Again, I used the Day to Day collection as a way to document our activities.  Take a peek...

I used elements from the Seaside Summer Collection to embellish my calendar.  I also used my Insta photo trick, as I did on my July Calendar.  It's really easy to get this look.  I printed my photos 1.5" square.  I then cut papers from the Seaside Summer 6x6 pad and some petite prints to be 1.875" x 2.25", and then positioned my photo on the upper part of the paper to get the look.

The great part of these calendars is there is a lot of space to "play."  You can decorate the top banner of the page, and also the blank days of your calendar.  I used the water stamp from the Seaside Summer Doodle Stamps and some fish from the Mini Icons to add some fun to the open space.

In addition to the Mini Icons, I used a lot of the Seaside Summer Puffy Stickers to add some dimension to my layout.  That board was the perfect way to embellish the photos of my daughter & her boyfriend paddleboarding!

The word stickers on the This and That Cardstock Stickers are perfect as captions for your photos! And that margarita puffy sticker... perfection!

I added a bit more color to the bottom banner using one of the 12" stickers from the This & That Sheet.
I've had so much fun with these calendars. So much so that I'm planning a 2023 album featuring a page a month!  I think it would be a fun way to keep up with my monthly scrapbooking!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

CANDY CANE LANE BETTER NOT POUT LAYOUT | with Erica

Hey friends! Erica here with you today to share a 12x12 scrapbook layout featuring the Candy Cane Lane collection!

One of my favorite types of layouts include large title cut files! They make it quick and easy to create a layout and your title is all ready to go!

You get to highlight as many of the pattern papers as you want helping to bring lots of color and pattern to your layout! Picking the papers to back the cut files is one of my favorite things about the cut files!

I tend to stick with 4 or 5 different patterns for longer titles and 2-3 for shorter title cut files. There are no rules when backing cut files but these are just things I have stuck with and I always love how they turn out! Lots of fun color and pattern without being to busy.

This Better Not Pout cut file is just adorable and went perfect with the Candy Cane Lane collection! We are so excited to Christmas and counting down the days! It is really exciting to see our youngest just loving every minute and how magical everything is to him right now!

Once my title cut file was back it was easy to add it to some beautiful Candy Cane Lane 12x12 papers for the base and embellish around the page. I used a lot of the mini icon sticker and icon stickers from the Candy Cane Lane collection. Here is a look at my final layout!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today and I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week!

SEASIDE SUMMER ON THE WATER LAYOUT | with Kathy

Stop the presses... I actually did a layout!  I've gotten away from it in the last couple of years, but the Seaside Summer Collection just called to me!

At the beginning of the summer, my husband and I bought a new boat.  We had to bring it up to Massachusetts from Staten Island, NY so we made a fun trip of it.  A friend was on a nearby boat and snapped this fabulous photo of us driving past the Statue of Liberty.  I knew I had to scrap it!  Take a peek...

I wanted a nautical theme, so I used the Captain's Wheel SVG from the Anchor's Aweigh collection.  I edited the file to make the center open so I could create a fun scene.

I used the bonus waves die from the Seaside Summer Doodle Cuts to create some wave layers.  The clouds were created using some distress ink and a cloud stencil.  All that was left was to add the cute stickers from the Icon and Mini Icon Sheets. The wheel is popped up using some foam tape to give it a little dimension.

I backed my photo with some papers from the 6x6 pad, then added some fun words from the Chit Chat Pack and stickers from the This and That Sticker Sheet.  I tucked a couple of tags from the Bits & Pieces behind my photo for color.

To balance my layout I added a little embellishment cluster in the bottom corner.  I couldn't do a layout without using the adorable Steven Sea-Gull and that cute crab!  The waves were my trimmings from the center piece.  The dock was cut using the scallop die from the Borders and Edges Doodle Cuts.

I had such a fun time piecing this together.  I think I need to do more scrapbooking!

MY HAPPY PLACE THESE ARE MY PEOPLE LAYOUT | with Traci

Hello Doodlebug friends!  I have a super easy layout to share with you today.  I was cleaning up my project table this week and noticed all of the tiny pieces of My Happy Place paper laying in piles.  I was going to throw them away because the pieces were so small, but then I had an idea for a 12x12 page!

I started my layout with the Hello Sunshine plaid paper and layered the Mint to Be pattern and white card stock on top.  Then I literally just started picking up leftover pieces and placing them on top of the white base.  It was fun ... almost like arranging a puzzle!

I printed my journaling on white card stock and used a 2.25" circle punch to cut it out.  I layered that on top of a green gingham circle from the bits and pieces, and used foam tape to pop up a few clouds and that cute sun.  A few little enamel hearts added some shine and the page was done!

So dig out your stash of My Happy Place paper and have fun using your scraps!  Happy crafting everyone!

MY HAPPY PLACE HELLO SUNSHINE LAYOUT | with Erica

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Doodlebug Design blog! Erica here with you today to share a 12x12 scrapbook layout using the My Happy Place collection!

I wanted to create a quick and easy layout but still bring in lots of different patterns and colors from the collection! I used the 12x12 Love This paper from the collection as my base and then trimmed down the pretty floral Garden Girl paper to add a strip going along the top of the page!

Next I trimmed down some Lily White textured cardstock to about 3x12 and adhered down under the floral paper. The next layer was a thin strip of the Cozy Spot pattern paper than I trimmed down to about a half inch and tucked under the white cardstock.

To help break up the different strips of paper I added in some of the scallop border stickers from the My Happy Place This and That sticker sheet! This also helps add another little detail to the page and another color!

I printed out my photos in black and white approximately 2.50x2.50 in size and matted on a piece of pattern paper from the My Happy Place 6x6 paper pad. You could definitely change up the photo size with this design and go bigger or use on 4x6. The possibilities are endless with this simple design.

I used some fussy cut florals, mini icon stickers and My Happy Place chit chat pieces to embellish around the page! I love how it turned out and the photos of my oldest brother and our niece is just the sweetest!

You can check out my process video HERE on my YouTube channel! If you give this simple design a try using Doodlebug Design products make sure to tag us on Instagram! Have a great day!

MY HAPPY PLACE FOREVER LAYOUT | with Nathalie

I am loving My Happy Place collection so much!  It is so perfect for everyday documenting, and all those sweet homemade moments. Today, I want to share a new project that showcases the lovely colors and patterns of this collection.

I love the patterns in this collection.   For this page, I am using the Cozy Spot patterned paper to create the top fold of this page. Then backed the space with the Enjoy The Ride patterned paper.   Just love the contrast in color and style.

I backed my photos with papers from the 6x6 paper pad, then placed them on the top part of the layout.  I added a few embellishments around the pictures.

I am  using Chit Chat pieces -at the bottom of the pictures- to create the title for my page.  I am repeating the embellishment cluster next to the title.

To finish my page, I repeated the cluster at the bottom of the page.   This just caps the page completely.  The final details are a bit of Matte Sprinkles around each of  the clusters.

I hope that you are loving the new My Happy Place collection.  Remember to share your projects with us!!  XO
