LOTS OF LOVE FEBRUARY MONTHLY SCRAPBOOK PAGES | with Traci

Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing the February layouts I made for Rylee's 8x8 Storybook Album. Each month, I make 4 new pages that highlight a few of my granddaughter's special moments. I used the adorable Lots of Love collection and it's perfect for highlighting sweet photos of loved ones and Valentine's Day.

My first page is all about these gorgeous flowers from the bits and pieces so, I kept the layout simple. I started with the Dot and Stripe in Swimming Pool and layered white paper and the Love You Bunches print on top. The blue gingham tab, the "always" and the "memories" are from the This and That sticker sheet.

I added the colorful flowers and leaves to span the width of the page and used foam adhesive under a few for dimension. Then, for a little shine ... I added some little enamel shape sprinkles & dots. My favorites!!

For my next page I layered 3 pretty 12x12 prints and chose some cute die cuts from the Odds and Ends to decorate. I love the little bear with his bow tie and Valentine in hand. The XOXO is from the Chit Chat.

I left white space along the top to highlight more fun shaped die cuts and used the My Type alpha stickers to create the Feb. '22 title. I love the enamel hearts and little rainbow in the corner. The Hello Beautiful is from the This and That.

Oh my gosh, this page! I love all the rainbows, the prints and that pretty pink paper. With space for 4 photos, it's perfect for pictures of Rylee at school, with friends or at home with her little brother. I used a 3x4" card from the Plaid You're Mine paper to make a little folding card. So cute!

I like mixing pattern sizes. So, I used the smaller rainbow print (from the 6x6 paper pad) on the photo mats and a
strip of larger rainbows (from a 12x12 print) along the bottom. The little envelope die cut finished it off.

In this last photo, I used a 4x4 page protector and more of the smaller 6x6 prints. I created a fun little pocket in the upper right corner that holds a few die cuts. You can journal on these. Just turn them over and write sweet messages, dates, names, or locations on the back side.

On the bottom left corner, I added a 3x3 envelope in bubblegum and covered it with a journaling card and a pretty flower print. On the inside, I made a small pull-out mat for a photo and added 2 rainbow shape sprinkles back to back to use as a tab. So cute!

I hope these pages inspire you to create something wonderful with the Lots of Love collection. The pretty colors and images are sure to make you happy!

8x8 Project Life & Mini Album Inspiration

Today we're mixing up...or I should say down, since we're featuring some amazing ideas with the 8x8 page protectors. The first sample by Sherry is from her "Vacation" album and it's a great way to feature her memories of visiting as many National Parks as they can in her area. And we loved Jodi's inspiration for a Back to School almost "December Daily" style album. You could even create this album in advance and drop in your photos as they are taken throughout the year. And then scroll down for the cutest 8x8 Storybook Album creation for a baby book by Melinda.

Teddy's Storybook Album
by Melinda Spinks

I'm finally getting around to putting together Teddy's baby album and although he's only 16 months old it seems like years since he was born. Fortunately I wrote lots of information down at the time as I'd never remember it all now.

I decided to use the 8x8 Storybook Album as I felt the smaller size would be more appropriate for a baby's album and it meant that I could still print out full 8x8 photos on my home printer. And I had a little play with the cover of my album by adding some rubons to give it a personal touch.

The rub-ons took a little extra 'rubbing' to make them stick but once they are on, they stay on!

The opening page I chose to use a full 8x8 protector as I wanted Teddy's first photo to take up the whole page with just a hint of embellishments for some added detail.

I used the flipside of the 8x8 protector to write a little story for Teddy to read in years to come of how he was such a surprise. I used the big quotation marks from the 'this & that' cardstock stickers that you find in different colors with each collection.

Page three configuration was perfect for adding a vertical picture of the pregnancy test and a print-out of the announcement I made to family and friends on facebook, along with some of their lovely comments.

Doodlebug's 8x8 Project Life Inspiration

Project Life does not have to be limited to only 12x12 albums. You can certainly take it down to the just as popular 8x8 album size. You can document your day, your month, your family or vacations. If starting with the larger size seems intimidating, then consider 8x8.

As we mentioned on the blog yesterday. Sometimes the "project life" way of documenting the every day needs to be expanded on and highlighting a relationship with a loved one or featuring a family vacation.
