LOVE YOU BUNCHES GIFT SET | with Tya

Don't have a green thumb? Neither do I! That's why I love these cute paper flowers that I  "planted! I thought these flowers in a painted terra cotta pot would make the perfect gift to brighten someone's day!

I made this planter out of a 3-inch terra cotta pot that I painted with some white acrylic paint and then wrapped with some Playful Plaid paper. I then selected 5 flowers and 3 leaves from the Odds and Ends.  I  trimmed some floral wire and glued the flowers to them. I added a few Sprinkles to the centers of some of the flowers and then add some green paper shreds to the pot to fill it in. There is a styrofoam piece in the center of the pot that the floral wire is sticking in.

Close up picture of the flowers. I love those shiny Sprinkle centers!
I also whipped up a quick card to go with the flower pot. I made the card using one of the Create-A-Card bases. I  trimmed a 4x6 inch piece of the lined paper side of the Bloomin' Bugs paper. I trimmed the aqua plaid paper from the 6x6 paper pad and notched the end into a banner shape. I then added the cute scallop floral sticker from the This and That sticker sheet and added more of those cute Sprinkles to the flower centers for some dimension. I added a green heart ephemera from the Odds and Ends and the cute banner is from the Chit Chat ephemera pieces.

This was a fun little project to put together in an afternoon! Who wouldn't love a little flower pot to brighten their day and  BONUS - no watering! LOL!  Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Happy Crafting!

Flea Market Collection: Gift Set by Tya

Hi Doodlebug friends - it's Tya here, and I am so happy to be able to kick off our Flea Market product focus. How adorable is this line? - it is one of my all time favorites that Doodlebug has ever created. It makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. I thought I would spread that feeling of warmth in this fun little gift set that would be perfect for a neighbor or friend gift. Here is what I created:
In this gift set I made decorations for the outside of a  candle, a cute belly band for a loaf of bread and a handmade card.
Here is the card - I had a lot of fun making this quilt inspired card. I used an embossing folder on my card base to add a quilted look.
To make the circles - I punched 1 1/2 inch circles out of a few sheets of 6x6 pattern papers. I then made a 1 inch square chipboard template and placed that in the middle of the circles. I then just folded the edges of the paper up and then added them in a square pattern on the card base.
I added a cute mouse and a few flower stickers from the Icon Sticker Sheet and a cute tag from the Labels and Tags kit. The Hello is from the Vintage Type paper that I trimmed down and made a banner. I finished the card off with a button and some Matte Sprinkles.
Next item I made is a belly band for a mini loaf of zucchini bread and placed in in a berry basket. The cute owl and wheat sprig are from the Odds and Ends Kit. A little berry from the Fall Leaves Shape Sprinkles is added to the heart sticker.
Finally, I made a wrap for the outside of a fall scented candle. I then added some stickers from the Icon Sticker Sheet and the sentiment is found on the This and That Sticker Sheet. I finished the wrap off with some green bakers twine and a green matte sprinkle.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out this adorable collection. It really does capture fall perfectly! Happy crafting everyone!

Chunky Twine Challenge: Rainbow Gift Set by Tya

Hi Doodlebug friends - Tya here to share with you my Chunky Twine project. Twine is one of my go to embellishments, so when we were challenged to use the new Chunky Twine - I knew I had to do something where I could use as many colors as possible. What better way to use lots of color than by using a rainbow.
I decided to make a cute little rainbow themed gift set with a treat box and a frame.

First off is the frame - to make the frame I gathered up several colors of the chunky twine and began wrapping a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch piece of cardstock with the twine. I added a piece of sticky strip along the back of my cardstock and then began wrapping the individual colors til the whole card is wrapped.

Next I cut out the word friend on my Silhouette and glued that on top of the twine wrapped cardstock. I then added the word Hello with some Teensy Type letter sticker and put them on some Lily White Sprinkles Vellum. I also added  a button and some stickers from the Kraft in Color collection to finish off the card.
I picked up a colorful frame at my local store and then added some pattern paper from the Kraft in Color collection and some red cardstock and then the card. I really like the wrapped effect of the twine - it's so fun and eye catching!

Next I found the perfect little bag on my Silhouette and cut it out. I used some Lily White Sprinkles Vellum for the cloud.   I added some rainbow candies to the box. I used this file : Rainbow Gift Box .
Using a glue pen, I added the chunky twine to the coordinating color on the box front. I added a few buttons to finish of the box. The twine adds the perfect touch to the box and adds a fun dimensional element too!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today - I hope I have inspired you to add a splash of color to your projects with this super fun product - I just love the Chunky Twine so much!  Happy Crafting!

Touchdown Collection : Sports Tickets Holders by Tya

Hi there Doodlebug friends - its Tya here and I am up on the blog today showing you my project featuring the new Touchdown collection from Doodlebug Design! What a fun collection this is for your grid iron fans! Since this is the time of year we begin thinking about gift giving for the upcoming holidays, I thought that I would give you a few ideas on some fun ways to give sports tickets. If you have a sports fan in your life who you are planning on giving tickets to, why not make a fun holder to put them in. Envelopes are so boring - these are sure to please!
I used my Silhouette Cameo to make these holders. I loved pairing the awesome papers and embellishments with a fun box and 2 other holders. The first holder is this cute football helmet. If you'd like to make on of your own I used this file: Football Helmet Treat Box. I cut the star out of one of the 4x4 papers and glued it to the front of the helmet. I added a touchdown word sticker and some black star jewels to complete the box.
The next holder is a simple money holder that I placed the tickets in. I used this file: Money Card Holder. I decorated the front panel with some cute pattern paper and added a foam finger sticker for  the closure. I added a football border sticker from the This and That sticker sheet along the bottom edge of the envelope. To finish it off I added a bow using the adorable Bon Bon chunky twine.

The last holder is a fun slider box that I just fell in love with. I thought the pattern paper with the footballs and the football texture was the perfect fit for this fun box. I used this file : 3D Sliding Money Holder Box. I added a black cardstock belly band. I added a strip of  gridiron washi tape to the belly band.  I then added a sticker from the This and That Sticker Sheet. I also added one of the Football Sprinkles Shapes to the sticker front for some dimension. I topped the box off with a Beetle Black button and some black and white bakers twine.

That's all there is to it! And these don't have to be just for football. Feel free to substitute any of the other amazing sports lines that Doodlebug has to fit your sport tickets. Your sports loving fan will love the extra touch you added to make their present special just for them! Happy Crafting!

Day to Day: Darling Gift Box + Adorable Gift Sets

From cups of coffee to retro televisions, the new Day to Day Collection has something for everyone. We love the mix of colors and the brown the pulls it all together for documenting the everyday.

Thanks to all our fans and followers that have already been sharing this new collection online with their friends. We've loved the posts, pins and comments. Keep them up, we're thinking about giving away an additional set if we see the same excitement with this new collection through the rest of the week.

Today we are going to ROCK your world with
some amazing ideas....are you ready??

K-Cup Holder and Card
by Tya Smith

Do you have a friend who needs a little "perking" up? If they own one of those nifty Keurig Coffee Makers - you have it made with this fun little K-Cup holder. Give them 3 cups of Joe and a sweet 3x3 card letting them know you are thinking of them. I used my Sihouette Cameo machine to cut out this box. Here is the file that I used you'd like to make one for your special someone: 3d coffee cup gift set

Thanks a "latte" for stopping by!

Tie Gift Box
by Tamara Tripodi

I decided to go for a more 'manly' project with the Day to Day collection. I used my Silhouette Cameo and a tie gift box die cut file from SVG Cuts to create this fun way to give dad (or any other guy in your life) a gift! Even the most 'macho' man would be impressed with this cute packaging!

I cut a pixie stick in half and used it with one of the mustache mini icon stickers. They are very easy to trim if for some reason one is too long for your project. And the 3D bows? LOVE those! I finished embellishing with some more stickers, a Doodad, and some Sprinkles.

Coffee Mug Gift Set + Card

I used the Cricut "Tags, Bags, Boxes & More" cartridge and cut the scalloped container at the largest setting (5.5").  Because the Pixies are food safe, I bundled up a few of them in matching colors to give as coffee stirrers.  Attaching the signage to the front of the mug with glue dots makes for easy, clean removal.
