AT THE ZOO - DAY AT THE ZOO LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Who doesn't love a trip to the zoo?! I have had these photos of my sons visiting Sydney's Taronga Zoo printed for quite some time now (probably 8 years lol!) waiting for the perfect collection to document them. The At the Zoo collection is awesome and was perfect for my photos, I love how my layout turned out!

As I had 6 photos to document and I wanted to use them all on one page, I decided on a grid design for my layout. Grid designs are excellent for keeping things uniform and neat on a page without going too overboard!

I started with the Zoo paper for my background and trimmed down the 'B' side of the Roly Poly Pandas paper and adhered this to the Zoo paper. All of my photos are backed with papers from the 6' x 6' paper pad and popped up using craft foam underneath. The Zippity Zoo Dots paper was added as a horizontal strip in the centre of the layout.

3 border strip stickers and the plaque title sticker that reads 'Day at the Zoo' were added from the This and That sticker sheet. On either side of the title I added some greenery die-cuts from the Odds and Ends pack. To help draw the viewer's eye to each of the photos, I added a super cute Doodle-Pop or a cardstock icon sticker or an enamel sticker to them. The animals are just adorable in this collection!!

I added some more phrase and word stickers from the This and That sticker sheet to help tell the story of the trip to the zoo. I stamped the date stamp from the day we visited the zoo and also took 4 of the black Zoo Assortment Matte Sprinkles enamel dots and added one to each of the 4 corners of the layout, I love how this finishes off the page.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you are inspired to document your wild animal adventures using the At the Zoo collection!  Happy creating!

AT THE ZOO PAPER TOPPERS | with Niella

Hi crafty crew, so happy to see you visiting today! With the sun shining and the days outside plentiful with family and friends, have you been to visit the zoo lately! Or have an upcoming zoo themed event or even better, like planning ahead with handmade goodies, me too! Today I have a set of funtastic paper toppers for your gift giving, gift card holders, table nameplates or even bookmarks that are ready to mark your latest page! Multiple uses! And, I have a bonus video at the end of this post!

Warning: super cuteness coming up! You'll fall in love with all the cheeky and adorable animal faces ! You can almost feel them snuggle right up to you. It'll be hard to pick a fave!

I started with the patterned papers! And cut these to 5x5" and then folded them over by 4 3/4" which leaves a slight lip under so you can see the contrasting pattern underneath. Here I chose Safari Plaid, Later Alligator, Jolly Giraffes, Elephant Parade, Lions & Tigers and Roly Poly Pandas! How roaringly sweet!

Next, I added matching cardstock from my stash as a front panel to add the Icon stickers to. Adding a background of solid color helps these elements pop! Then I dotted around the mat Sprinkles and also some glitter Sprinkles too! How snappy!

Once all decorated, I added a top stitched line using my sewing machine. This helps the folded card to stay secure for use as a bookmark over your page but can still be used as a gift card or table nameplate! There really are so many uses for these. Your ideas can be taken to new heights!

Thank you crafty crew for cruising by today! I hope I gave you a crafty hit of inspiration! Don't forget to tag us in on your socials - we're looking forward to seeing your next Doodlebug Design project! Until next time; doodle zoo!

BONUS: video flip through as promised!

AT THE ZOO DAY AT THE ZOO LAYOUT | with Tya

Hello there! I am so happy to be sharing a fun scrapbook layout I created for my assignment this month! As an animal lover, the At the Zoo collection has always been one of my favorites that Doodlebug has put out! I was so excited to create !

My cute cousin and her adorable baby just spent the day at the zoo and their photos could not be any cuter or more perfect for this collection! I had a lot of fun layering up a few different pattern papers from the collection to make this fun layout! I also added a couple of strips of Bumblebee Dot/Stripe Petite Print paper to add a pop of yellow to the layout!

Here are a few close ups of some of the details on the page:

The cute toucan from the Odds & Ends adds a fun splash of color to this layout! I love how the stripes on the beak matched so well with the stripes of pattern paper that I used on the layout. I also used the border strips found on the Safari Plaid paper. A couple of phrase stickers from the This and That Sticker Sheet helped bring in more color and interest.

This adorable monkey Doodle Pop was the perfect little accent up in the corner. To add some fun texture to the layout, I used some vine ribbon trim from my stash to make it look like he's swinging. I also added a few palm leaves from the Odds and Ends and the "Hi Monkey" is from the This and That stickers.

I cut out a tag from the Animal Crackers paper and typed my journaling there. I tied some pretty swimming pool Doodle twine to the tag. It makes a great visual triangle on the layout!

One more cute monkey on a ribbon trim vine decorates the title block. He is from the Icon Sticker sheet.

My title was made by layering up a sticker from the This and That sticker sheet, and a few leaves and a palm tree from the Odds & Ends. It's always fun to create little scenes around the title to make it stand out a bit more!

This little layout was a joy to make and I always love using photos of the little ones enjoying the first times doing something exciting like going to the zoo! If you have a few zoo trip photos hanging around, pick up this amazing collection and use my layout as inspiration for your own Day at the Zoo photos! Thank you so much for stopping by today! We will see you next time - Happy Crafting!

AT THE ZOO SAFARI MEMORIES | with Miguel

Documenting memories in a different and original way can be very fun and it allows us to explore our creativity!  Today, I packed a safari suitcase to document memories of a visit to Bioparque Estrella in Mexico.

I started with the beautiful At the zoo collection  as it is perfect for the safari or zoo theme.  I placed a photograph in the center of my cover as the main focus of my project and used odds & ends and shape sprinkles to decorate, I love the result!

Inside the box I have a series of photographs of that wonderful day.  I made a kind of collage of my beautiful photos and add more decorative details with Odds & Ends and This & That.

This suitcase has the capacity to store more memories in photographs individually in case we wish to do so later.

Thank you for stopping by and reading, see you soon.

AT THE ZOO WILD ADVENTURE LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Summer is time for adventure, especially when that involves a visit to your local zoo. So what better way to document those fun moments than the fun and colorful At the Zoo collection.

It just works so perfectly for this memory of my little cousins enjoying the zoo resting spots. It was so easy to bring this together.

It all started with the Zoo Paper, I carefully cut out the woodgrain frame out of it. I then trimmed a piece of the Roly Poly Pandas paper and adhere to the bottom of the Zippity-Zoo Dots paper. Next, I adhere the woodgrain frame to the papers.

I backed the picture with a paper from the 6x6 paper pad, and set it inside the frame. It was then time to embellish my spread with all those pieces from the collection.

All those cute animal stickers are just perfect to frame the photo and bring more of the images in the picture. I added a few of them around the picture, and that helped frame it all.

I mixed some of the stickers with pieces from the Odds and Ends to create the title for my page. I set it at the bottom of the picture then added a few Sprinkles all around the page to complete my layout.

I hope this inspires you to pull your At the Zoo collection to document your wild adventure memories!
XO!

AT THE ZOO DOUBLE SLIDER CARDS | with Kathy

I was so excited to get to play with the At the Zoo Collection.  This is one of my all time favorite Doodlebug Collections!  I didn't have any zoo pics to scrap, so I thought it would be fun to create some cute slider cards using the Icon Stickers and Odds & Ends. As you probably know, I love a good interactive card!   Take a peek.

Here is a look at the cards before the slider is pulled....
And here is after....

I love the little critters popping up from behind the trees!!  Here are a couple of close-ups...

For this card, I used both Icon and Mini Icon Stickers.  The stamped sentiments are from the Happy Birthday Doodle Stamps set and also from the Party Animal - Boy Doodle Stamps.

The second card also uses Odds & Ends and Icon Stickers.  I added some Matte Sprinkles to make the Coconuts pop up a bit.  The sentiment is from the Snow Much Fun Doodle Stamps.  I just love how you can mix and match Doodlebug Collections!

And because interactive cards are always more fun when you can see them in action, I created a short video of the cards so you can see how they work!

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

AT THE ZOO MINI BOOK | with Conny

Hey Crafty Friends! Hey there! Conny here with an exciting new project. I created a 5x8 album using the At the Zoo Collection, perfect for capturing and preserving all your wonderful zoo memories. This collection and album are the perfect solution for those special photos from the zoo that you've been meaning to document.
Let's get started! I started by cutting my pieces as follows:
Chipboard pieces - (2) 5x8 inches, (1) 8X 21/2 inches.

Pages: one 4 x 12 - Score at 5 and 10 inches. If you want to add a semi-pocket, you can use this measurement. For single pages, use 7 1/4" x 10".

Please remember the following instructions for covering the chipboard covers and spine:
You will need a piece measuring 6 5/8" x 9 5/8" for the cover and a piece measuring 4 1/4" x 9 5/8" for the spine.

To bind the album together, I used a piece of cardstock that is 8 X 12 inches long. Additionally, for the back cover, I used an extra piece that is 1 1/2" x 8" as the previous piece won't be long enough to cover the chipboard inside.

To hold the pages inside the album, I used 8 standard eyelets – 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom – with elastic string.

.

At the spine, I tied a bow with a ribbon. To embellish the cover page, I used one of the 4x6 cut apart cards, Sprinkles and Odds & Ends.

I embellished the album using various Odds & Ends and Mini Icon Stickers, as well as some This & That cardstock stickers. I left spaces for my 4x6, 2x2, and 3x4 photos, and I added an extra pocket on the covers for small items.

Thank you so much for stopping by we cant wait to see what you create using the At the Zoo Collection.
