MADE WITH LOVE A-DOUGH-RABLE LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Do you have a cute baker or chef in your family? I am very lucky to have one in my family and the Made with Love collection is perfect to document these adorable photos of my little baker!

I chose quite a few patterned papers for this layout - using 4 in total including Sugar Sprinkles, Flour and Sugar, Bake Me Happy and Dab of Butter. I decided on the Bake Me Happy paper for my background and trimmed down the Sugar Sprinkles paper to approximately 11' x 11' and adhered it to the Bake Me Happy paper. I then freehand drew a border around the edge using a black journal pen. I then trimmed down the Dab of Butter paper to measure 8' x 12' and adhered this piece to the centre of the layout. From the Flour and Sugar paper, I trimmed off the red gingham/plaid strip piece and the cocoa, flour and sugar jar piece. I adhered the red piece at the top of the Dab of Butter paper and the cute jar piece at the bottom.

I love the border stickers that are included on all the This and That sticker sheets! I added the small yellow scalloped one and the red plaid/gingham one at the bottom and the blue wavy one at the top. The Bake Me Happy enamel stickers are SOOO cute! I added lots of these at the top of the page! I just love their adorable faces!

In the centre of the page, I adhered my 2 cutie photos using craft foam to pop them up off the page a little. I did leave the sides of the photos free of adhesive so that I could add some embellishments, I often do this when I create my layouts, I then go back when I am happy with my page and extra adhesive to secure everything. You can see in the close up photo the shadows this creates on my page, I just love the added dimension. On the right of the photos, I added the round die-cut that says 'Baked With Love' from the Chit Chat pack. I added some of the enamel hearts from the With All My Heart pack. I also added one of the tab sticker here from the This and That sticker sheet.

Above the large photo, I tucked in the adorable rolling pin and above the smaller photo, the utensils both from the Odds and Ends pack. I also took the 'a-dough-rable' speech bubble from the Chit Chat pack and adhered that above the rolling pin. I also added the All You Knead Is Love speech bubble in the top left corner of the small photo. As my son has his apron on, I just had to add the apron cardstock sticker from the Icon sticker sheet. Lastly I stamped the date stamp using black ink and my layout was complete.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug blog today! I hope you were inspired by my layout today! Happy creating!

MADE WITH LOVE BAKING RECIPE BOOK | with Kathy

I'm excited to be kicking off a couple of weeks of Made with Love Inspiration.  I adore this collection.  As a baker, I think all the cute little cooking icons are just the sweetest!  I decided to make a little baking recipe book to fill with my favorite treats.  This would make a fun gift for someone moving out on their own or for a new couple.  Take a peek...

The covers of my book are covered chipboard measuring 5.5" x 7.5".  It is bound using a hidden disc method (see this video for a tutorial).  I love using disc binding, especially for recipe books.  It makes adding pages so easy!

The binding is covered with some of Doodlebug's new Heavy Weight Acetate.

On my inside cover I printed a kitchen conversions chart.  I always find those handy!  I decorated it with some of the Odds & Ends.    I divided my recipe book into 4 categories... and created a divider page for each.  They are decorated with Odds & Ends, Chit Chat pieces and they are labeled with Alphabet Soup Puffy Stickers.  I added a punched tab to the sides to easily turn to different categories.

I punched the Made with Love Recipe Cards using my Cinch Multi Tool, so they could be added into the book.  In between some of the dividers, I added tags, cut-aparts and Odds & Ends for a little color and fun.  Here are some views of all the inside pages/dividers.

I just love all of the punny sayings!  I love that by using the disc binding that I can add in pages as needed!  I created a video run through of the album and it can be seen on my YouTube Channel below.

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

ADVENT CALENDAR HOUSE - BAKING MEMORIES COUNTDOWN | with Tya

The holiday season is upon us, and there's no better way to count down the days to Christmas than with an advent calendar filled with festive surprises! I was so excited when I learned that Doodlebug came out with their very own customizable advent calendar! Why settle for a store-bought one when you can create a super cute Doodlebug-themed personalized one!

I wanted to create an advent calendar but add a fun little something extra to it.  In this post, I will share with you the process of crafting your very own advent calendar complete with a unique twist – a baking-themed journal to record your sweetest Christmas memories! With all the cute baking-themed icons and papers in the Gingerbread Kisses collection, it was so easy to whip up this fun-themed advent calendar.

Here is how I put this together:

**Step 1: Decorating the Calendar**

I wanted my Advent to look like a gingerbread house, so I painted the house with some light tan paint. I then decorated the roof with some Blush colored Textured cardstock and cut scallop border strips on my Silhouette. I adhered these to the roof section. I wanted to decorate the roof with some real candy so I hot glued 2 mini candy canes and some gumdrops to the scallop strips. In the center of this section, I added the "Baking Spirits Bright" Chit Chat piece to a kraft-colored doily. I added the "Baking Spirits Bright" banner sticker from the This and that sticker sheet on top for some dimension. I also added some white Chunky Twine as a border along the edges of the house.

For the drawer fronts, I used the Holiday Sprinkles paper. I picked up some little wooden drawer knobs at the craft store, painted them white, and glued them to the fronts of the drawers.

I added this cute Santa, who is from the Odds and Ends, and a couple of Gingerbreads from the Puffy Stickers to the chimney part of the house! He looks so cute peeking out!

**Step 2: Add Mini Cookie Cutters and create the Numbered Tags

Next, add a mini cookie cutter to each drawer. These mini cookie cutters will serve as the key to your calendar. They'll not only look adorable but also provide a fun surprise for each day. To add the numbers to the cookie cutters, I die-cut a small stitched square tag from the Mini Tags Doodle Cuts. I cut the small number squares, found in the 6x6 paper pad, and added them to the tags. I tied the tags onto the cookie cutters with some baker's twine.

This is where the magic begins. Each day, open a drawer, find the number on the tag, and uncover a memory prompt.

Every day, as you open a drawer, you'll also pull out a decorated tag with your daily journaling prompt. Write down your memories, experiences, and thoughts related to baking during the holiday season. These journal entries will become a cherished keepsake for years to come.

**Step 3: The Baking-Themed Journal**

Here's where the unique twist comes into play with my calendar. I decided to go along with the baking theme of the collection to create a baking-themed journal to capture the precious memories of your holiday baking adventures. I bought a white chipboard box from the craft store. I decorated the box with some Cookies for Santa paper. I decorated the front with a 3x4 card from the Gift Wrap paper. I added the "Christmas Memories" sticker label to the card. The sticker is on the This and That sticker sheet. I added a few Puffy stickers to the label as well.

I then cut out 24 tags from some textured cardstock. I wanted to add some lined paper to the tags so they can be written on so I used the Bright Ideas paper from the Cute and Crafty collection. I then used some papers from the Plaid and Polka Dot Petite Prints and cut out a 3-D bow from a cut file on my Silhouette. I added the bow to the top of the tag and added a button and some twine to the bow. The Tags are held in a Kraft Slimline Evenelope that I trimmed down just a bit on one end to hold the tag. The envelope is then decorated with the 12x12 paper version of the numbered boxes found on the Christmas Jammies paper.

On each tag, I added a journaling prompt related to baking, such as "Share your favorite cookie recipe" or "Describe the scent of fresh gingerbread cookies."

So -with your handmade baking-themed advent calendar and journal, you'll not only savor the joy of the holiday season but also create lasting memories. The combination of the Gingerbread Kisses line, mini cookie cutters, and daily prompts will make each day leading up to Christmas a sweet adventure. So, gather your crafting supplies, get creative, and bake your way to Christmas bliss with this delightful DIY project. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great week and a Happy Holiday Season!

MADE WITH LOVE SWEET COOKBOOK | with Miguel

Today I am happy to share my first project with the beautiful 'Made with Love Collection'.  It is an altered wood cupboard turned into a recipe book to store all those sweet recipes. How is that for a fun idea?

I started with the 12"x12" papers in the collection to cover the cabinet pieces and thus begin to give life to my composition in a super special way and to my style.

On the back I made a box with my scoring board to hold all the recipe cards. I kept decorating in a fun way with all the Made with Love icons, and placing a small title with the 'My Type' alphabet stickers.

At the top of my project I decorated with a wooden roller, which is very representative of the artisan work here in México.  All my composition is painted with acrylic paint in pastel.

Inside the drawer, I placed the beautiful pins from the 'Made with Love' collection.  They look beautiful inside, don't you think?  I also used some pop dots to give it dimension and it seems that they are totally real.

I say goodbye hoping that you like the project that I created as much as I do and that it will
inspire you.  Many thanks to Doodlebug Design for giving me the opportunity to show scrapbooking designs made in México.  Greetings and thank you for reading!

MADE WITH LOVE STAMPED CARDS | with Karen

Over 20 years ago, I stamped my first card.  It wasn't the first card I made - I had been drawing handmade cards all my life, by the joy of stamp and ink joined my life in my early 20s.  Stamping lead to a love of all things crafty, including baking, so Doodlebug's Made with Love collection encompasses a huge part of how I define myself as a crafter.  Beautiful, colourful paper, fun stamps and a baking theme. I actually couldn't love this collection more if I tried.

So it will probably come as no surprise to see another card set from me with this collection.  This set utilizes a bit of stamp masking to create little scenes from my kitchen - minus the hundreds of dirty dishes and flour covered counters of course!  I love that I can go full on "Doodlebug cuteness" by adding faces to some of the stamped images, or keep it a bit more subtle and classic.

Topped up with some of the die cuts from the Odds and Ends/Chit Chat packs, some mini paper clips and mini jewels, these cards get just the right amount of detail to add interest!

And while Made with Love really was perfect for Valentine's Day, I love that it is a collection that can stay on my crafty table all year round....not that it is going to last much longer!  I think it's time to go do some baking!  Thanks for stopping by!
