HELLO AGAIN LOVE YOU LAYOUT | with Nathalie

I am loving the new Hello Again collection! It is the most perfect collection for document all your memories with a touch of Doodlebug cuteness, and shine! Plus, literally, it is so easy to use that constructing this scrapbook layout took no time!

I just love the pops of color that frame my photo perfectly, and all those butterflies!!

I started by creating all the banners for my page from 12x12 patterned papers from the collection. The colors and patterns are so well balanced, that it was so easy to mix and match them for my banners. These were attached to the base (Buffalo Check-Woodgrain Petite Prints)  as if they are cascading from the top left side of the page.

I decided to set my photo on the left side of the banners, and then created small clusters of embellishments along the diagonal line of the layout. Starting with the top left corner of the photo then working to the bottom right corner of the page.

I used a mix of Chit Chat, Bits and Pieces, Doodle Pops, and Sprinkles to create the title for my page. The gold foiling in all the pieces adds a touch of elegance to the page, you don't need a lot of product to complete your page.

I love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires you to check all the gorgeousness of the new Hello Again collection, you are going to love it all! XO

Pinterest Inspired Challenge: 4th of July Decor by Wendy Sue

Hi Doodlebug friends!  I am Wendy Sue and I love (love, love, love) Pinterest, so when it came time to find an inspiration piece for my "Pinterest Inspired" project assignment, I just couldn't decide on one piece.  Lucky for me...it wasn't against the rules to choose multiple inspiration pieces (at least I don't think it was!)!  I wanted to create something to decorate my entry for the next several weeks...here's a look at the inspiration pieces I gathered (they are all pinned HERE on my 4th of July Pinterest board).

And here are the projects I created based on these inspiration pieces!

As much as I LOVE the themed collections by Doodlebug, I am a HUGE fan of the coordinating basics - including the doilies and linen papers - which is what I used for these projects!  Here's a closer look:

This star garland was super easy - I just cut a bunch of star shapes with my Silhouette, then used white thread in my sewing machine to stitch them all together!  I love how they look draped across frames and other items.

The doilies were such a quick and easy banner idea.  I layered two different colors and sizes of doilies and folded them in half.  Next, I hung them on a long length of doodle twine (red, white, and blue, of course), and placed a mini-staple in each one to secure it.

To create the flag, I simply cut strips of red and white petite print paper.  I placed these on a base (measured to fit into the frame) and stitched across each red stripe with white thread.

I added a blue block to the corner, then cut several white stars to fit inside.  I added each star with a foam adhesive dot.

I love how it all came together to create a festive little set for my home, thanks to several inspiration pieces I found on Pinterest!
