The haunted cabin file I used is by SVG Cuts. They have a great video on how to put the house together, so I followed their instructions, with one exception. I cut mine out of chipboard first, then covered it with patterned paper.
Once the cabin was covered with paper, I made a base out of foam core and covered that with the star side of the Matter Splatters paper. I loved the potions patterned paper and wanted to incorporate it somewhere in the project. Around the edge of the base seemed like the best spot. Another favorite of mine were the "splats of color" motifs. I used them in sticker, and die-cut form, as well as the 6" x 6", patterned paper on the porch roof.
I changed out the door that came with the cabin, with a chipboard one that I had. The door was covered with linen cardstock, then embellished with spider sprinkles and a small ticket sticker.
The "Halloween Night" label was cut from the 6" x 6" paper pad and was just the right size for the doormat.
As you can see, I used a lot of fun prints from the collection paired with the linen-gingham cardstock.
To add some detail, small strips of paper were attached to each corner of the house, as bricks and shutters were added to some of the windows. Black strips, (cut from patterned paper) border stickers and other paper strips were also used around the house to add some color.
To finish off the cabin on the side more die cuts, stickers, sprinkles and twine were used to create a fun banner.
Well, that's it for me. Join us tomorrow for some more Boos and Brews goodness. Jennifer
