FUN AT THE PARK TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK | with Erica

Do you want a fun way to document your next park adventure? Try using a travelers notebook! These little books are perfect to fill up with your memories and is easy to take along with you.

The insert I am using is from Doodlebug and I am also using the Buffalo check Travel Planner cover. You can find covers and inserts at just about any paper crafty store or make your own. I covered the pages of the insert with different papers from the Fun at the Park collection.

I added photo mats and embellished around the page so I can easily pop in my photos and journaling.

I do not use every page inside the insert. Some of the pages I will adhere some of the pages together so they are a little more sturdy and my pages will hold up.

Using different dies from my stash to create some photo mats will add some little details around the pages! I pop up the embellishments on thin foam so I can easily tuck in my photos.

It is super easy to create pockets using pattern paper so you can tuck in tags, photos, receipts and other memorabilia.

A lot of the inserts out on the market include pockets in the front cover. This is the perfect spot to add larger die cuts, stickers, clips and photos.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you enjoyed my travelers notebook filled with the Fun at the Park collection! I had so much fun creating this and love how it turned out. If you have not yet used a travelers notebook to document a trip or any memories I highly recommend it! You will be surprised at how quick these little albums come together.

FRENCH KISS Travelers Notebook Scrapbooking | with Kathy

How are your resolutions coming this year??  I've managed to stick to two... So far I've stuck to a healthier eating plan and I've kept up to date in my 52 weeks Traveler's  Notebook Scrapbook!  For weeks two, three and four I used the French Kiss Collection... take a peek!

My first spread features one of my favorite pups.  Maya is my neighbor's sweet dog... and Maya LOVES my husband.  It's hysterical how excited she gets when she sees him.  My neighbor jokes that if she wants to get Maya to go somewhere, she'll say... "Is that Ed? Go get him!"  So of course when we get a funny SnapChat from Maya which says, "I wonder what Ed is doing...."  we have to offer to take her for a walk.  The hearts from the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends packs were perfect, AND I got to use the adorable Pug Odds & Ends Piece!

My week three spread also features the French Kiss Collection.  Before my daughter went back to school, we met up with one of my scrappy friends Mary-Ann for a fun girls day of shopping and lunch.  While we were in one store, we had to try on the heart shaped glasses... and of course take a selfie of the event.

I think that the Passion for Plaid paper is my favorite of this collection!  And the Ooh La La sticker from the This and That Stickers was perfect!

I also love the Heart Throb Shaped Sprinkles... they add he perfect little sparkle and aren't too thick to be in my notebook.   Week four is one of my favorite pictures of my daughter.  Right before she left to go back to school, we took a trip into Boston and went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum... the place is amazing!  My daughter especially loved the solarium and decided any house she buys should have one!

If you've used any French Kiss or other Collections in your 52 Weeks Scrapbooking, make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook (@Doodlebug Design) or Instagram (@doodlebugdesign).  We would love to see what you've created!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

Farmhouse Perfection | with Jomelle

Buffalo Check Daily Doodles with "Down on the farm" screams farmhouse perfection. I just had to go back to this collection and create my DB Farmhouse TN set up.

How do you like having a fun view every time you open your TN? I always like to create the first cover insert with eye catching decor. For this front cover I knew I wanted to use the jean pocket and layer it with different pattern papers. I used foam adhesive for the fence to give it that 3D look.
How cute are the tabs with label "country" "barnyard" and "adventure" I love how they are sticking out on the side. Little things and decor makes me happy specially with all the cute embellishments Doodlebug has to offer.
I made a bookmark/page marker for my farmhouse set up which also hold my washi tapes. This was super easy to make. I just chose the pattern paper I want to use. Cut it to the size I need and add a piece of odds & ends to the top or side and then laminate it.
I plan to add more washi but I just couldn't find the ones I wanted. I'm sure it's somewhere in my craft room.
Gotta love side the side view. It never gets old.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy and was inspired by my Farmhouse set up in my Buffalo Check Daily Doodles. What a great way to start my new year with this fun set up.

Travellers Notebook Scrapbooking | with Kathy

Do you make New Year's Resolutions?  This year my crafty resolution is to get back to more actual scrapbooking!  Over the last couple of years I've moved away from more traditional scrapbooking and more into general paper crafting, and I miss documenting those memories!  I thought that scrapping my favorite photo each week would be a good way to get back into the swing of things, and Doodlebug's Daily Doodles Travel Planners are the perfect platform for this type of scrapping!

I started by creating a dashboard for my 2019 memories.  I cut a piece of  Floral-Graph Petite Prints in Pistachio to measure 9.75" x 8.5", and then scored the file at 4.5" and again at 5.25" to make the "binding" wide enough to hold 3 of the Daily Doodle Travel Planner Inserts.  I decorated the cover using a couple of Lily White Doodlebug Doilies, papers from the So Punny and Dot-Stripe Petite Prints 6x6 Pads, Chit Chat Pieces from the Hello Collection and some Abigail Stickers in gold.  Once it was decorated, I laminated the whole thing to make it more durable and inserted it along with 3 of the Travel Planner Inserts into my Buffalo Check Travellers Notebook.
Once my dashboard was ready it was time to get started documenting 2019!
For my first layout, I used the buffalo check paper from the Down on the Farm 6x6 pad, Petite Prints, Stickers and Odds & Ends from the Hello Collection and some Abigail Stickers.  I even pulled out my trusty typewriter to type up some journaling!   I think I'm off to a good start!  Now if I can keep up with doing this weekly, I'll be in good shape!  Are you documenting your memories in a Doodlebug TN??  We'd love to see what you create!  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on social media so we can see!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Pumpkin Party Planner Pages | with Jomelle

It's Halloween Party Time in my Daily Doodles Travel Planner. Halloween is just around the corner and I'm getting more and more excited. As I mentioned in my last blog, Halloween is my jam. I just love everything Halloween has to offer.

I'm just excited to share with you what I have created to add to my Halloween Set Up. I am still using the Buffalo Check Daily Doodles Travel Planner. I am also using the same Monthly Insert.

The Monthly insert comes with a couple of extra pages after each month. For October, I created a layout for memory keeping. I am planning to add my kids'  picture with their costumes when they go Trick or Treating on Halloween.
On the right side of the page, I used the black card from the pumpkin party assortment cards and envelopes. I layered it with another paper from the 6x6 paper pad. I will add the picture inside the card.
On the left side of the page, I will journal about Halloween Night.
Planner girls love to use washi tapes to create dashboards so I decided to use the Halloween washi tapes to create a bookmark/page marker.
Here are all the washi tapes I used.  I took another piece from the pumpkin party assortment cards and envelopes. I laid out the washi tapes diagonally on the blue card and I cut out the excess tapes.
There you go, you have a cute little bookmark/page marker.
I created another bookmark/page marker that can also be used to store stickers, odds & ends or sprinkles.
I just cut up one of the 12x12 paper to the size I want. I added these 2 clear square self adhesive pockets that I got from the Dollar Spot at Target. Super easy to make.

I also want to show how easy it is to create a simple insert cover.
I just picked a 12x12 paper from the Pumpkin Party and I cut it to the size of my insert. Once you have the right size cut up, you can just fold it in the middle and there you have it.
You can place the insert and add it to your Daily Doodles. Super easy but still looks cute. You can create as many cover inserts as you want to add to your Daily Doodles.
For those of you who are not into "planning" the Daily Doodles Travel Planner can be used for memory keeping. Just think of it as the smaller version of your 12x12 layout. The best thing about the Daily Dooldes is that you can carry it with you when you travel.

I just want to share my memory keeping pages  I created when I went to Doodlebug Headquarter in August.

I was able to meet Traci, one of the Design Team member and of course we had to take a picture with DB very own Cynthea. These girls are both super sweet.
I also asked all the girls who attended to sign my insert.
Some of you may ask, I got the cute Halloween pen when I went to DB head quarter. It was part of the goodie bag we received. Super adorable huh?

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you all have a Franken-static Halloween!
