PETITE PRINTS KITTY TAG ALBUM | with Jen

I just love the new Petite Prints and I thought what better way to make the most of them than with a tag album! And what better subject than my sweet velcro-kitty Gus-Gus!

I made a very simple tag album out of heavy acetate. The tag bases are 4"x6". I made a template to get the angled tops and the hole exact on all of them.  I used the Candy Stripe-Sprinkles and Plaid Polka Dot Petite Prints as my page bases.

When you mat acetate you can see through to the back of the paper on each side! It makes for a fun way to add pops of color with very little paper.

It's also a great way to use up leftover Odds and Ends and Bits and Pieces or other embellishments.

Below I have a short process video on how to mat the acetate so your adhesive doesn't show.

PRETTY KITTY GUEST DESIGNER SARAH BARGO

Hey paper peeps Sarah Bargo here again! I created another layout using the adorable new collection "Pretty Kitty!"

I had a lot of fun with this one because I got to play with brown and I feel like I never do that anymore?! I wanted to kind of match the photo so I started pulling out all of the cute brown bits & pieces from the collection, and I discovered that they looked super cute on the aqua background!

When my son was getting his kitty used to being around the other big furry beast, he fluffed up, arched his back, then hopped sideways chasing him all the way down the hallway! I'm like well. I think he's going to be ok lol! These two are so funny together!

We are excited to welcome our Guest Designer Sarah Bargo Today!  Sarah got to play with the Pretty Kitty Collection, check out her adorable layout!

Hey there paper peeps Sarah Bargo here! First off I just want to say thank you so much to the Doodlebug team for having me guest and letting me play with so many fun products! I was so excited to play with the darling new collection "Pretty Kitty" because I'm using it to scrap my son's sweet fur babies! (my grand-pets?..) 

I created this simple background by repeating the same "meow" cut file word, then sprinkled in some cute little elements! I love the minty papers with the pops of pink! And yes, you are seeing that photo correctly, the kitty has little thumbs lol! Here are some more views....

PRETTY KITTY - KITTY CAT LAYOUT | with Lisa

Who loves flowers...??? Me!  I have to have them on almost every layout. Who loves fussy cutting? I guess, fussy cutting isn't as popular... haha. I don't love it but I don't mind it either. I love the result of my layouts where I do a lot of fussy-cutting, so I do it again and again.

Here is my layout I created after an hour of fussy-cutting...

I started with the Back Yard Bunch Patterned Paper from the  Pretty Kitty collection.  It has a white background and a ton of tiny flowers and leaves and I cut those out.

When I thought I had enough, I arranged them on the paper to see how and where I wanted to have my floral areas.

Once I decided where I wanted them to be, I adhered some of them using foam squares. I wanted to have different dimensions in the flowers, the others were attached with glue.

Once they all were down,  I used jewels and enamel dots as the centers of some of the flowers. I also used enamel shapes and puffy stickers to fill some gaps between the flowers. Then I used a pink ink spray and splattered some ink on the layout.

Of course, this layout needed a photo of my Kätti... :) I matted it on four pieces of patterned paper and adhered it to the layout using foam tape.

Next, I added my title.  This title is from the Chit Chat die cut pack and I thought it was just the perfect match for this layout. 

To finish, I added a mouse and two cat heads from the puffy stickers, a tiny enamel heart, a banner saying "You're so meow-gical" and a doodled border. I like how this turned out soooo so much. I ALWAYS love my fussy-cutting layouts... you should try it too. :)

PRETTY KITTY SPOILED LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Hey there! I don't know about you, but the fur babies in our households are "spoiled". My cat-nephew, "Chico", is probably one of the most loved and spoiled ones out there. So, I used the beautiful Pretty Kitty collection to create this layout:

I love playing with paper, so I sat with the 6x6 paper pad, and a pair of scissors to create this page, like seriously that is all it took!

I started by cutting a heart from copy paper, then cut strips of patterned paper at about 1.5-3in wide and of different lengths. I started gluing them to the heart starting from the bottom of the heart. I set the paper strips at different places on the heart, so that they create that cascading effect on the heart.

Petite Prints are always my top choice for backgrounds. This time, I added a letter size white cardstock page to the center of the layout, then glued the heart on top of it. A soft layer of vellum adds just a bit of separation while framing the pictures of our Chico.

The Chit-Chat banners were the perfect addition to the paper layers.. I added a small paw print next to each of them. In order to create some movement on the page, and also emphasize the layers, I added a few Sprinkles between the paper layers.

I followed the line of the embellishments to create the placement of my title at the right bottom of the heart.

I love how this turned out, and it was so much fun and relaxing to just play with all the patterns in the Pretty Kitty collection. Be sure to check it out!  XO

PRETTY KITTY PAW PRINT MINI ALBUM | with Traci

I have a little mini album for you today that is paws-itively cute! I combined some of my favorite Doodlebug products with an acrylic shaped album and I can't wait to share it with you!

To create my album I used the Paw Prints & Hearts cutting file to cut one of the paw prints out of white acrylic (you can easily use white card stock). Then I created an internal offset with my Silhouette machine software to cut out the cute pink side of the Backyard Bunch paper.

Now for the fun part! After cutting out the oval and circles, I used the Pretty Kitty shadowbox kit to add lots of color and shine to the cover.

I mean it seriously doesn't get any cuter than those little fur balls and the teeny tiny shiny flowers! Most of these sprinkles and stickers come in the shadowbox kit, but I also added a few sprinkles from the Purr-fect Pals set too.

Once my cover was finished, I had lots of fun adding pattern paper and mats to each of my pages. I punched 3.5" circles for the white mats and cut 3.75" border mats on my Cameo machine. I couldn't resist those cute fish (swimming? maybe not, LOL) around the mat.

I added odds & ends and chit chat pieces throughout the album. I love that there are so many little kitties to choose from!

Is this floral paper on the page above anyone else's favorite?? I love this paper so much I'll be buying more and hoarding it for sure!

I hope I gave you another idea for using the shadowbox kits today, and I hope I've inspired you to document your sweet kitty's photos! I'll be back next time with a fun project for the dog lovers out there! Until then, have fun being creative!

PRETTY KITTY PICTURE PURRRFECT LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a fun layout using the super adorable Pretty Kitty collection. I am in LOVE with the color palette and all of the cute elements! Here's my page:

I have this sweet photo of our neighborhood kitty that used to sleep in our garage. We tried to bring him in but our three dogs didn't get along with him so he was content roaming our street during the day and sleeping on this comfy blanket at night. I LOVE that this collection had a few kitties that matched his coloring, so of course I had to make sure I used them!

The patterned papers in the collection are stunning so I chose to use the Feline Good, Pretty Kitty and both sides of the Dear To My Heart 12x12 papers. I adhered them to a piece of white cardstock so that I could add a bit of mixed media beneath all of the papers.

Using a few shimmery sprays from my stash, I sprayed/painted on a couple of coordinating colors. After it was finished drying, I matted my photo using a few Bits & Pieces and for my title, I used one of the phrases from the Chit Chat pack.

Next, I went through the Odds & Ends pack and pulled some pieces embellish with. I popped a few up on foam tape and layered them together. The Puffy Icons have the cutest floral stickers in different sizes and I think they're my favorite so far! They add the perfect pops of color around my page.

These colors are just so happy and I love those yarn balls! They were so fun to layer into my clusters.

Here's one last shot of this super cute layout! My mixed media is super minimal but it really brings everything together!

PRETTY KITTY THE CUTEST LITTLE FRIEND LAYOUT | with Lisa

Need a cute collection to scrap your beloved pets? Well Doodlebug's got what you need. Two brand new collections, one cat themed, the other dog themed, called Pretty Kitty and Doggone Cute. I created a layout using Pretty Kitty, showcasing the lovely patterns of the 6x6 paper pad.

I wanted to use a lot of the different patterns, because I just love the cute patterns and colors of the collection. So I cut out a few squares of patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad and then hand cut all the letters that I needed, to write "The cutest little friend".

I arranged the letters on the paper in a way that I liked, also including the photo. The shape that resulted from that, was a bit like rectangle, so I decided to use a few more embellishments to fill out this rectangle. I cut out three hearts from patterned papers and I used the Here Kitty Kitty Shaker Pop. I matted my photo on a few scrap pieces.



Then I started to adhere everything, the photo and all the letters. To make the letters more interesting and give them more dimension, I bend them a little bit and only added a bit of glue to the middle, so that they wouldn't lie flat on the paper. After adhering all the main pieces, I went through my embellishments and chose jewels, enamel dots, enamel shapes an stickers. I added them to the letters, trying to match the colors.



To add some last details, I added some tangled thread and pink splatters.



I love creating layouts with big letters, it always looks cute and colorful.
