TINSEL TIME CHRISTMAS LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Just one more day until we celebrate the jolliest season of the year! I am sure that you are all ready to take the photos, eat the food, open the present, and make the memories. So what better way to relive them than to document them with the fun and beautiful Tinsel Time collection. I pulled some past memories of my children for today's layout:

I just love how this layout came together using a simple design and all the embellishments that I could add here.

I started by framing a piece of the coordinating cardstock with the Berry Merry, and Tinsel Time papers. Next, I pulled pieces from the Odds & Ends pack to create the light garlands under the bell bough at the top of the page.

I decided to back the photos with papers from the 6x6 pad, and then adhered to the base so that they sit right under the light strings. I mixed die cuts from the Bits & Pieces pack to create the large cluster to the right of the photos.

To complete the line of embellishments at the bottom of the photos, I added the cute reindeer Doodle Pop to the left of the photos and then pulled a piece of Chit Chat to create my title.

A few Sprinkles around the embellishments complete this page. I just love it! And I hope it gives you inspiration for your next crafty project featuring Tinsel Time!
I want to take this space to wish you all a blessed Christmas, and may 2025 be filled with joy and peace! XO

TINSEL TIME SHAKER GIFT TAGS | with Kathy

We are officially down to the wire!  It's time to get all of those Christmas gifts wrapped and put under the tree!  I decided to add some fun Tinsel Time Shaker Tags to some of my gifts this year... take a peek...

I started with some Tag Dies from my stash.  I cut them from some Tinsel Time Coordinating Textured Cardstock.  I lined the bottom tag piece (without the window)  with some fun papers from the 6x6 pad.  I love the smaller prints, they work perfectly for projects like this.  I covered the open window of the tags with some Heavyweight Acetate.  I added some double sided 1/8"foam tape to outline the window, filled it with some fun shakers then attached the top tag to the bottom!  All that was left was to decorate which was easy with all the fun Puffy Stickers, Shaped Sprinkles, mini Jewels, Icon Stickers, Odds & Ends and Bits & Pieces!  Here are some close-ups...

On the "B" side of the Happy Holly Days 6x6 paper are word strips that are great for cards & tags.  I used them for sentiments on my tags.  I also added some fun Glitter Sprinkles from the Christmas Assortment to some of the ornaments.

In addition to Doodlebug Shaker balls, I also used the Happy Holidays and Jolly Holly Shakers.  I also added some shaped sprinkles from the Christmas Candy Shaped Sprinkles.

To top my tags I stapled some grosgrain ribbon using my tiny attacher stapler.  They are all set to be added to my gifts!

Here's a little video of my tags.... it's always more fun to see things in motion!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful, safe & healthy Holiday season.  I'll be back in the new year with some more Doodlebug projects!  Thanks for stopping by to peek.

TINSEL TIME FAMILY CHRISTMAS MAGIC LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We are just a few weeks away from celebrating the jolliest time of the year!! So, what better way to patiently wait than to document past holiday memories with the new Tinsel Time collection.. This collection is so cute, festive, and sparkly that it makes all your memories shine. Here is what I have created with it

I wanted to bring some of the designs and shine onto my layout. I simply pulled my 6x6 paper pad and got started on this page,

I used a metal die to create circle die cuts from papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I wanted a smaller pattern in each of the circles, so they will read as a solid pattern for some of them. Once I had the circles, I glued them to white cardstock then trimmed the page. Creating a frame from the gray cardstock help to make all the details pop on the layout.

I used a grid style for my background. I then placed my photo to the right of the center of my layout and added just a few embellishments around it, so that the photo and the background will not compete for attention.

I added embellishments just to center rows of the layout, as I wanted to emphasize the line where the picture and title sit on the page. A bit of foam adhesive and a few Doodle Pops help to add texture to the page. I also repeated the banner look of the title by scattering a few other Chit Chat pieces on the page - a few Sprinkles help bring your eye to that detail-

I love the Chit Chat pack in the Tinsel Time collection, it was just so easy to put the title work together. I just added a few extra embellishments around it to make sure it pop from the page.

I love how this turned out, and I cannot wait to see what you will create with the new Tinsel Time collection! XO

TINSEL TIME ADVENT CALENDAR | with Kathy

I love an Advent Calendar, and every year I try to make a Doodlebug version!  This year I used the Tinsel Time collection and the Tiny Tinsel Town Doodle Cuts to create a fun, smaller countdown.  Take a peek...

To create my base I used the boxes from the Christmas Advent Calendar SVG by Lori Whitlock.  I sized the boxes from the file down to 75% of their original size and cut/assembled 24 of them.  I stacked them into 3 rows of 8 and covered the outside with the snowflake side of the Tinsel Time paper.  I covered the drawers with the silver side of the Snow Bright Days paper.  I then cut out the countdown numbers from the 6x6 Berry Merry paper and added them to the front of the drawers.  I love the smaller size!

I created a fun town scene on the top of my advent calendar using the Tiny Tinsel Town Doodle Cuts, some petite prints and coordinating Textured Cardstock.  I just adore the sweet little houses.  I wanted them to be lit up (because everything is more fun with lights) so I created a small open sided box to glue to the back of each house.  Inside the box, I added a mini LED light (I will link below).

The boxes open so that I can drop in the lights and take them out.  I added a tab to make it easier.

I added a scene with Santa and his reindeer using the Mini Icon Stickers.  They were the perfect size!

The fun bottle brush tree icons in the collection inspired me to make one of my own!  I used some wire and some Doodle Twine to create a mini bottle brush tree.  (I followed this tutorial).  I decorated it with some individual Shakers in ladybug, bumblebee and cupcake as well as a star from the Holiday Magic Shaped Sprinkles.

On each house, I added a bit from the Happy Holiday Shakers to the wreaths... to give them a little decoration!

Now if I can only resist eating all the candy ahead of time!  Have you created any projects using Tinsel Time?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on socials... We love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

GINGERBREAD KISSES THANK YOU CARDS | with Karen

Every year during the holidays, I am blown away by the generosity of others. It's one of the best things about this time of year - seeing people reach out and think of one another. When someone goes out of their way to remember me and my family, I love to be able to give back with a little handmade card to express my thanks. So today, I thought I would share some of the "thank-you cards" I recently created with the new Gingerbread Kisses collection.

   All-3-1

What I find really fun about thank-you cards this time of the year is that you can use up some of your Christmas themed papers. For this set, I decided to see how I could play with my product to create something that still had a Christmas feel, but wasn't screaming "Christmas" in the same way that my Christmas cards might have been. Gingerbread kisses is actually the perfect collection to accomplish this. The colours are universal (ly cute) and there are so many die cut shapes that work are not strictly seasonal.

  Odds-and-Ends

Take, for instance, this adorable die cut from the Odds and Ends pack. These recipe books make the perfect card for a thank-you that maybe included a bit of holiday baking!

  Shape-Sprinkles

And this cozy hot chocolate mug works as a thank-you for any tasty treat. Add few adorable shape sprinkles on for some shine, and these simple and easy additions take a simple thank-you sentiment from blah to "oh yay"!

  All-3-2

I actually have a bunch more of these cards to make, but I can't wait to keep the sharing going this season. After all, Christmas might be behind us, but that doesn't mean that we can't keep the season on giving and gratitude going into the new year! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

GINGERBREAD KISSES BAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT LAYOUT | with Brianna

Merry Christmas friends!! Brianna Lepper here and I’m so happy to share a sweet layout of my baby girl, Annie using the Gingerbread Kisses collection. There are so many cute baby photo trends this holiday season and this photo was one that I did with my sweet girl. This collection has some adorable baking elements in it and they were perfect for this page:

To start, I thought the Baking Spirits Bright 12x12 paper would be perfect for this page, so I trimmed down a couple pieces for the top left and bottom right corners. To pull in a bit more brown to go with my cookie theme, I took the B side from that same paper and added a little strip of it. For some extra texture, I pulled some ribbon from my stash and sewed it to both corners.

Here’s the other corner, I added a cute phrase piece from the Chit Chat pack. She really does warm our hearts!!

For my title, I used this adorable piece from the Chit Chat pack and popped it up on foam tape. I layered a circle element from the Bits and Pieces pack right under it and then adhered a few icons from the Odds and Ends pack as well.

I really wanted to add some journaling to this page so I took the clipboard piece from the Odds and Ends pack and added it there. The Baking Spirits Bright Doodle-Pop was PERFECT for this page. All of the cookies on the tray are adorable and fit the theme nicely!

I love adding layers in my embellishment clusters, so I layered a few more circle elements underneath my journaling and added the remaining small stickers from the Doodle-Pop sticker to the rest of my page. To add even more colors to my clusters, I sprinkled in hearts from the Odds and Ends pack and then thought it would be fun to include the candy canes and circles from the Gingerbread Trimmings Shape Sprinkles.

Here's one last look at this festive page:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I hope you have a great holiday with your friends and families!

GINGERBREAD KISSES CHRISTMAS LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Hey creative friends! Christmas is all wrapped up in this cute layout that I created using the Gingerbread Kisses collection! I kept it pretty simple with not too many embellishments and created a gift look to my page even including some curled paper to replicate a curly ribbon bow on the gift.

I started with a plain piece of white cardstock, trimming it down to approximately 11.5' x 11.5' and adhering it to the 'B' side of the 'Hello Santa' paper. I cut some strips of paper from the 'Gift Wrap' paper and adhered them vertically and horizontally to replicate a gift. I did use craft foam to adhere these strips, I like how this creates dimension and shadows on the page. I did machine stitch a border using some red cotton.

For the bow at the top, I cut several strips of paper from the 'Merry and Bright' paper, I looped 2 of them and then curled the ends with my fingers to create the loops in the ends of the bow. This did take a little fiddling and a few goes to get it right, I am glad I persevered though as I love how it turned out! From the bow, I tied one of the cute charmers using some Doodle Twine and also added some die-cut tags too.

I placed 2 small photos in opposite quadrants to each other and kept the embellishments pretty simple. I layered the large Christmas title across the centre of the gift and added one of the pink peppermint sprinkles for the dot in the 'I' in Christmas. I embellished mostly with die-cuts and added some sprinkles to each including the white hearts to Santa's beard and the small enamel dots to the Christmas Tree.

A few other details include the heart row die-cuts and the holly that I added to each corner, I also added some enamel dots to the berries of the holly too. Lastly I stamped the date stamp using black ink. I hope you enjoyed reading about how I created my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have a wonderful few days celebrating the festive season with your loved ones an that you get some creating time in too!

GINGERBREAD KISSES JOLLY & MERRY CARDS | with Lisa

I know a lot of people LOVE making cards... I have to say, I'm not really one of those people... For me it has always been more fun to create mini albums and layouts. But, once in a while, I have a fun idea for a card and I really enjoy making it. So for this project, I created two cards with big sentiments using the Gingerbread Kisses collection.

I love making layouts with super big letters, so for these cards, I used that technique, where I hand-cut letters out of patterned papers, without pre-drawing them... I just go for it :)

I cut out the letters, for the words Jolly and Merry (for the sentiments "Holly Jolly" and "Merry Christmas"), from the patterned papers of the 6x6 paper pad. Then I adhered them to a 4 1/2 inch strip using foam tape and then cut off the excess piece of the strip.

I added that piece of paper to a card base I created from patterned paper, making it slightly bigger than the strip with the letters, so that a border would peek out from all of the sides.

To make everything stand out more from the paper behind it (because there are a lot of layered patterns...), I traced black scribbly borders around the letters, the strip and the base.

I then took the puffy stickers (which are a newer product I love!!!) and added them here and there on top of the letters. I also added some gold sprinkles from the Hello Again collection.

To finish the sentiment, I added Alphabet Soup stickers in Gold to the card. I hope you enjoy the holidays,  or just this cozy wintertime.  See you in the new year!
