FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL LAYOUT | with Tegan

I am in love with the new Doodlebug Design Sunshine Alphabet and Sprinkles Shape Stickers! I used both along with the School Days collection to create my main design on this layout and I am really happy with how it turned out. Come take a look!

I embellished the top of the page with a strip of the rainbow striped School Days Very Primary patterned paper, ephemera piece, and Mini Icons Stickers. I also added a couple of the Bubblegum Shape Sprinkles Stickers.

I started by using the Doodlebug Sun - Happy Camper Cut File and the Party Time Sprinkle Me Happy patterned paper to create the large sun background. I then cut out the inner sun piece using the Hey Cupcake Hip Hip Hooray patterned paper. Here I embellished around the sun with the awesome Sunshine Alphabet Stickers in Black, Bubblegum, and Blue Jean. I then filled the spaces in between the words with Confetti Shape Sprinkles Stickers in Blue Jean, Bon Bon, and Bubblegum.

Here I used the Sunshine Alphabet Stickers in Ladybug, Blue Jean, Bon Bon, and Swimming Pool. I then embellished the spaces between the words with Shape Sprinkles Stickers in Bubblegum, White Lily, and Cupcake. I love the little three dimensional detail the Shape Sprinkles add! I embellished my photos with Odds & Ends die cut pieces.

I love that the Sunshine Alphabet Stickers and the Confetti Shape Sprinkles Stickers come in ALL of the fun Doodlebug Design colors. This makes it so easy to mix and match colors and add color to a project! Which is your favorite Doodlebug color?!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope I have inspired you to grab some of the awesome Sunshine Alphabet Stickers and Sprinkles Shapes Stickers for your next project. Have a great day!

MONOCHROMATIC CARDS | with Karen

I don't know about you, but sometimes I can get into a bit of a rut with my projects. Sometimes they all start looking the same! So when Doodlebug released the new Confetti Shape Sprinkles and Sunshine Alphas, I decided to challenge myself to do something totally different! No stamps, no patterned paper! WHAT?! The best part? I love how this project turned out!

I went for a monochromatic look by choosing some Confetti Shape Sprinkles and Sunshine Alphas that matched some of the Doodlebug Cards and Envelopes sets that I happen to love!

Using some of the card bases that have a cutout window, I simply filled the shape in with the Sprinkles. I love that when you open the card, the Sprinkles create the shape of the window!

I then grabbed some of the Sunshine alphas and decided on some generic sentiments for my cards. With the help of my trusty tweezers, I had them centered and place in no time!

It's a subtle and simple card but packs all the Doodlebug cuteness we have all come to love!

I can't wait to mix up the colours in some of my future projects! These two products are definitely going to become a staple in my crafting collection...er...I mean, supplies!  Thanks for stopping by!

A DAY AT DISNEYLAND LAYOUT | with Tya

What makes you happy? For me, I love to travel and all things Disney. So when we  were assigned to use the new Confetti Sprinkles and Sunshine Alphabets she decided to create this magical scrapbook layout! Here are all the details!

So I knew I wanted to make these fun balloons and place them on the top section of my layout. I used a  couple of our cut files in the Silhouette Shop ( Balloon Dragon Tails # 187924 and Pink Balloon Fairy Tales # 185494) and then used various patterns of our Petitie Print papers. I then added a coordinating Doodle Twine string and taped it to the back of the balloons .Some of the balloons have foam tape behind them for some dimension. I then took the same colors of the Confetti Sprinkles and scattered them all around the balloons. I love how this came out and it certainly does look just like confetti!

I used a cute Sun Doodlepop next to my photos - the bright yellow looked so cute with these other colors.

Next I created my title using the Sunshine Alphabet stickers. The font is just the right size - not too big and not too small- Great for making a little bit longer of a title.  I placed these stickers on some white cardstock and notched the ends to make a banner. I added some foam tape behind this whole piece to add dimension.

And just for some added fun - I created my own Mickey Ears by using some Beetle Black Sprinkles and added two of these little guys next to my photos in the corner.

It was so fun to used lots of Doodlebug Basics on this layout - I didn't use any specific collection, I just looked for papers in my color pallet that I wanted to use and then got to creating. And of course, all my colors matched perfectly with each other. I love that I can mix and match collections! I hope that I have inspired you to pick up the super cute and versatile Confetti Sprinkles and Sunshine Alphabets.  These are great basics to keep on hand and to use on all of your Doodlebug creations! Thank you for stopping by today- Happy Crafting Friends!

FIRST DAY OF PRE-K LAYOUT | with Traci

Happy Tuesday Doodlebug friends!  The creative team has been playing with some new products this past week so I wanted to share my layout using the new confetti sprinkles and Sunshine alpha stickers! Since confetti reminds me of a celebration, this layout "celebrates" my granddaughter's first day in Pre-K.
I built the base of the page with beetle black linen card stock, white card stock, and a fun pattern from the School Days collection.  Then I layered two large circles and a cute photo, before adding my title.

Once I had the title where I wanted it, I added some larger embellishments like the DoodlePop bus and school house, the scissors, some stars and the cute little notebook.  Then it was really fun to fill in all the tiny open spaces with confetti sprinkles!

I love how these new sprinkles have tiny dots, and a variety of shapes.  I think the hearts and the little stars are my favorite!

Are your little ones back in school?  If not, they might like to help you add confetti sprinkles to your next project!  But get them in every color ... you'll LOVE them!  Until next time ... happy crafting!

FLOATING CARDS | with Kathy

I can't tell you how many hours I spend on Pinterest.  I'm sure the number would be embarrassing!  It does help me discover new types of cards and paper projects though!  I had never heard of a floating card... but as soon as I saw them, I knew I would be making some soon!  When the Doodlebug Design Team was challenged to create projects featuring the new Confetti Shaped Sprinkles and the Sunshine Alphabet stickers I knew this type of card would be perfect!  Take a peek...

These cards were so fun to make.  For the card base you want to cut a piece of cardstock 4.25" x 7".  Score this piece at 1.5" at the top.  Cut a piece of transparency film 4.25" x 5.5.  Tuck the transparency sheet under the 1.5" flap of the card base and glue to the flap.  This gives you your basic card.  I then cut another piece of the card base paper 1.5" x 4.25" and glued it along the bottom of the transparency sheet.  Then I decorated with some of the patterned papers from Hey Cupcake Collection.

On the transparency portion of the card, I added my sentiments using the new Sunshine Alphabet Stickers and sprinkled some confetti sprinkles.  I finished off with some adorable icons from the Hey Cupcake Odds & Ends.  Here are some close ups...

I love how the transparency sheet makes the alphas and confetti pieces really pop!  If you use the Confetti Sprinkles or Sunshine Alphas in your projects, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram.  We love to see your projects!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
