TINSEL TIME MINI TAG FOLIO | with Conny

Happy Holidays! Conny here, and I'm excited to share this mini album created with the Tinsel Time collection. For this project, I was inspired to use the tags from the gift-giving 12" x 12" paper, and I am really into folio mini albums right now. I cut out eight tags from the paper to include in this album. You can choose the tags that you like best for your flip tags.

Let's start with the base of the album. I cut three pieces of chipboard: two pieces measuring 4 1/2" x 8 1/2" for the covers and one piece measuring 1" x 8 1/2" for the spine. The pink textured cardstock comes from the 12" x 12" solid assortment paper pack and was cut to measure 12" x 10 1/8". I used my  book cover guide tool to center the chipboard pieces, leaving about 1/8" between the spine and the border around the chipboard, which was about 3/4". I applied double-sided tape and liquid glue to adhere the elements together.

To cover the chipboard inside, I used festive floral paper measuring 8 3/8" x 10 1/8". For the tags, to turn them into flip pages, I cut eight pieces of white cardstock, each measuring 4" x 4". Score one side at 2" and adhere your tags on top, making sure the paper is facing the right way for the tags to open correctly. I punched a hole at the top of each tag and added a ribbon. A few tags were embellished with odds and ends, enamel dots, and stickers from the collection.

The pages in the middle of the spine, measure 8" x 8 1/2". I scored on the longest side at 4" and 4 1/2". I then adhered the 1/2" sections to the spine one after the other. I embellished the pages using odds and ends, stickers, enamel dots, Doodle Pops, and more. The process for the base and pages can be found on my YouTube channel.

TINSEL TIME FOLIO ALBUM | with Conny

Hey Crafty Friends, it's Conny here, sharing a lovely folio album made with the new Tinsel Time Collection. For this folio, I wanted to create spaces for all the Christmas photos we take during this festive season. If you don't have a chipboard, don't worry—you can still recreate this album!
Let's get started. I began with five pieces of chipboard to create a solid structure. From left to right, the sizes of the chipboard pieces are 3.5" x 8.5", 1" x 8.5", 5.5" x 8.5", 1" x 8.5", and 4.5" x 8.5". The sizes of the pieces used to wrap the chipboard are also in the same left-to-right order: 10 1/8" x 4 3/4", 10 1/8" x 2.5", 10 1/8" x 7 1/8", 10 1/8" x 2.5", and 6 1/8" x 10 1/8". You can refer to the picture below.
To cover the chipboard, you will need a patterned piece measuring 8.5" x 12". I used the Dashing Deer paper for this; however, you'll also need an additional piece measuring 8.5" x 5" from the Tree Trimmings collection. Start by adhering the longest piece from left to right, then place the shorter one on top right of the album (To cover inside chipboard).

Now, let's move on to the first folded page in the album, which is attached to the first spine ( 1" x 8.5"). I trimmed the Snow Bright paper to 10.5" x 8". Score this piece at 5/8", 4", and 7 1/4". Here, I added various bits and pieces, including mini icon stickers. I also created a little pocket for tags using the "Admit One" North Pole ticket and a few journaling cards.

For the pages in the middle between the spines, cut two pieces measuring 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" and score each one at 1/2" on the 5 1/2" side. Place one on the left and one on the right. Inside, I added another page measuring 5" x 8 1/4" and scored it at 1/2" on the 5" side. I adhered this page to the next, following the left page. After matting with coordinated cardstock sized at 8 1/4" x 4 1/2", I added more journaling cards and various embellishments from the collection.
On the right base, I created six flat waterfall pages using white cardstock cut to 3 1/2" x 5". Score on the longest side at 1/2" and adhere one after the other. I matted these pages with paper from the 6" x 6" paper pad and used journaling cards and puffy stickers, leaving the back of each card open for 3" x 4" photos. You can embellish even more if you like!

Happy crafting! Thank you so much for stopping by! I love sharing with you all my creative ways of making projects. Xo Conny!

FARMHOUSE SHAKER TAG MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hey Crafty Friends, it’s Conny! I’m excited to share my latest project featuring the charming Farmhouse collection. One of my main inspirations came from the beautiful 12 x 12 Double-Sided Buffalo Plaid paper. I particularly loved the side with tags, which was a perfect template for creating the additional tags throughout my mini album. The rustic and cozy feel of the plaid really brought my project to life, and I can’t wait for you to see how it all came together!

Here's how I put it together!  I began with a template measuring 5 7/8" x 3 1/2".  I cut all my papers from the 6x6 paper pad or used scraps left over from my last project. Additionally, I utilized some Heavy Clear Acetate to create the templates for my shaker tags.

For the next step, I used my sewing machine to seal three sides of the tag. Then, I added a mix of shaker elements, including Shades of Fall and Fall Flowers Shakers, as well as some Tangerine Shakers. For extra flair, I included round sequins in bumblebee and cupcake. After adding the sprinkles to the clear acetate, I sewed the top of the tag shut using my sewing machine.

For the shaker cover, I embellished it with flowers from the Bits & Pieces, along with some Puffy Icon Stickers and the Turkey Time Doodle-Pop. I also added the Mini Maple Little Charmer to the ribbons. Inside the mini album, I decorated further and included photo mats that measure 3 1/4" x 4 1/4". Additionally, I incorporated a few smaller tags from the Bits & Pieces and added pom-pom ribbons for extra detail.

I added shakers as covers and one in the middle of my mini-album. My mini-album has about seven pages, but you can definitely add more. Have you ever created a mini-tag album before? I would love to see you give this project a try! You can hand stitch and create different fun patterns if you don't have a sewing machine. Make it enjoyable and uniquely yours!

FARMHOUSE FAMILY TRADITION MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello, Crafty Friends! It's Conny from The Daily Life of Creativity with my project using the Farmhouse Collection. This stunning album, made from chipboard, is not just a project but a delightful journey of creativity. The beauty of this collection has truly captivated me, and I can't wait to share this joy with you! I had a wonderful time putting together this mini-album, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too. You'll find the cutting guide and written instructions in this blog post. For a more detailed guide, check out my YouTube channel (link below), where you can watch a step-by-step video primarily focusing on assembling the base.
Cutting Guide:

1. Chipboard 5.5" x 8",   5" x 8" and 2" x 8".
2. Cut three (3) papers 3 3/4" x 9 1/2",  6 1/2" x 9 1/2" and 7 x 9 1/2" (to wrapped the chipboards covers and spine)
3.  (1) Black Cardstock for the spine 8" x 6"
4. (1) Fall bouquet Cardstock for front cover 4 3/4" x 7 3/4"
5. (1) Country Calico Cardstock for back cover 5 1/4" x 7 3/4"(1),  Country Calico Cardstock for spine    1 7/8" x 7 3/4".
6. (2) Farmhouse Cardstock 7 7/8" x 5 3/8" for the back cover and 7 7/8" x 4 7/8" front covers (these are for inside to cover the chipboard)
7. (2) Black Cardstock, 7 7/8" x 11" score at 5" and 6" (for the first page) and 7 7/8" x 11" score at 5" and 5.5" ( second Page).(1) Black Cardstock, 5 1/4" x 7 7/8" score at 1/2".
8. (1) Black Cardstock, 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 5"
9. (1) Black Cardstock, 5" x 4 1/2" score at 4 1/2". For the pages, prepare mats at 7 3/4" x 4 7/8" .

Instructions:
First,  I started with the chipboard covers, which measure 5.5" x 8", 5" x 8", and 2" x 8". For the cardstock pieces, I used the following dimensions: 3/4" x 9 1/2", 6 1/2" x 9 1/2", and 7" x 9 1/2". I wrapped these cardstock pieces around the chipboard covers and spine. I recommend using a book cover guide tool to ensure that you leave about 3/4" around the edges of the chipboard. I trimmed the corners at an angle, leaving about 1/8" at each corner so that when wrapping the chipboard, it is perfectly covered.
Next, I joined the chipboard covers together. I used one piece of black Cardstock for the spine, measuring 8" x 6". I placed  the chipboard spine between the 3" and 6" marks on the Cardstock and scored on both sides of the spine to create flaps for the covers. I applied adhesive  to the two flaps, then adhered the larger cover to the back and the smaller cover to the front. I matted the album with (1) Fall bouquet Cardstock for the front cover, 4 3/4" x 7 3/4", (1) Country Calico Cardstock for the back cover, 5 1/4" x 7 3/4", and (1) Country Calico Cardstock for the spine 1 7/8" x 7 3/4".
Next, I started preparing the pages for the album using two pieces of black Cardstock, each measuring 7 7/8" x 11". For the first page, I scored at 5" and 6". For the second page, I scored at 5" and 5.5". I adhered the pages to the spine of the album, leaving about 1/4" of space between the beginning of the spine and the pages. For the pages, I prepared mats at 7 3/4" x 4 7/8" .  After matting the papers with patterned paper, I added flip pages to a few sections.

Here are the measurements for the flip pages:
1. For the first flip page, use black Cardstock measuring 5 1/4" x 7 7/8" and score at 1/2".
2. For the second flip page, use black Cardstock measuring 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" and score at 5".
3. For the third flip page, use black Cardstock measuring 5" x 4 1/2" and score at 4 1/2".

I also made sure to cover the inside of the chipboard piece. I used two pieces of farmhouse cardstock: one measuring 7 7/8" x 5 3/8" for the back cover and another measuring 7 7/8" x 4 7/8" for the front cover.
I added pom-pom trim, baker's twine, and embellishments from the collection to create little clusters on every page. Just in case you're interested, a few of the photo mats measure 4 1/4" x 6 1/2", 4 1/4" x 7", or 3 1/4" x 4 1/4". These are options, as we all like to include different sizes of photos in our albums.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I love sharing with you all my creative ways of making projects. Here is a link to a tutorial for my album.  Xo Conny!

HEY PUMPKIN ACCORDION MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hey everyone, It's Conny! I'm excited to share a beautiful accordion mini album showcasing the stunning Hey Pumpkin Collection. This album was a joy to create, offering the perfect canvas for adding photos on both sides. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to design flip-up pages, adding an extra element of surprise and creativity to the album.

Let's get started! I started with two chipboard pieces measuring 4 1/2" x 6 1/2". I used black cardstock measuring 8" x 6 1/8" to cover them.  I placed the chipboard in the middle using a book cover guide, leaving about 3/4" all around and added adhesive all around the 3/4" and folded those into the chipboard.

Next, I created the accordion pages. I used 110 lb black cardstock for the pages, measuring 6 1/2" x 11",  scored at 4 1/2" x 9". The ends that measure 2" between the 9" x11" were adhered to the chipboard covers. After adding the hinges to the chipboard,  I joined the pages, creating a zigzag! If you want to create a pocket out of the pages you are joining, that is also an option. Make sure when matting the pages, the pocket is facing up. The black cardstock papers throughout the album measure 4 3/8" x 6 3/8". Next I chose my favorite papers from the collection.
The white photo matts were cut in three sizes: 3 3/4" x 4 1/4", 6" x 3 3/4", and 8 1/2" x 4 3/4".  I scored the longest side of the 8 1/2" x 4 3/4" mat at 4 1/4" to create flip-up pages.  I embellished them with my favorite pieces from the Bits and Pieces, Odds & Ends, chit chat, and more.
You can find the process video on my YouTube channel (link below)  Thank you for stopping by, and I can't wait to see what you create using the Hey Pumpkin Collection. Happy Haunting!!! Xo Conny!!

HEY PUMPKIN ENVELOPE ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Spooky Friends, It's Conny, and I'm excited to share a fun project using the Hey Pumpkin Collection with you. Today, I'll be creating an envelope mini album. To make this project, you will need a 1-2-3 Punch Board.  Additionally, I decided to create a sturdy chipboard base to hold the envelopes together. This will ensure that the mini album is durable and long-lasting. Get ready for a creative and enjoyable crafting session!

I started by selecting two patterned papers and two solid textured cardstock. Then, I trimmed them to 8 3/8" and followed the 1-2-3 punch directions to create the envelopes.

After that, I wrapped the chipboard pieces with beetle black cardstock. The chipboard pieces measure 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" for the covers and 2" x 6 1/2" for the spine. I used the 6" x 6" paper pad from the Hey Pumpkin Collection to cover the front of both covers and added stitching with my sewing machine.

To assemble the covers and spine, I used a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/2" x 6 1/2". I scored the paper on the shorter side at 1 1/4" and 3 1/4", and positioned the spine in the middle. For the hinges, I used cardstock from the textured cardstock assortment pack from the Hey Pumpkin Collection. I used  two pieces measuring 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" and 6 1/4" x 2". For the 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece, I scored at 1/2" and 2". For the 6 1/4" x 2" piece, I scored at 1/2" and 1 1/2". I adhered the larger one first in the middle of the spine and then adhered the smaller one on top, and that gave me my four hinges. Finally, I glued the envelopes to the hinges. I glued them all going the same way, but you could do facing each other too!

Inside the mini-album, I added a card that can hold photos. The paper for this one measures 8 1/2" x 6" and scored on the longest side at 4 1/4", folded and placed inside the envelopes. I added a few photo mats for the back of the envelopes to hold 3" x 4" or 3 1/2" x 5" photos. I embellished the inside, and I used Odds & Ends, Chit Chats, bits & Pieces and doodle-pops for the cover page. You can watch the process on my YouTube Channel. Thank you for stopping by! Xo Conny!
