CUTE & CRAFTY MARKER BOX | with Miguel

I love working with chipboard and creating boxes.  It allows you to make exactly what you need!  I created this box with the Cute & Crafty Collection to store my markers ... and it looks great in my craft space!

The box is made from gray chipboard which I covered with papers from the Cute and Crafty collection. For the upper part, I made a cover from PUC mica (transparency material) so you can see all of the markers at once.

I decorated the box with all of the adorable icons from the collection. They were more than perfect for this box, I love the end result!

I used the Chit Chat Piece " You Color My World" for the front of my box.  I love the play on words!

Thanks for looking, see you soon.

CUTE & CRAFTY MINI BANNER | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I am sharing a craft room décor idea using the Cute & Crafty collection. I decided to make a little mini banner.

For the base, I used petite print papers in various colors and stacked two banner shapes on top of each other. I stitched them and then adhered them onto some twine.

From there, I added loads of embellishments. I used some images from the sticker sheets and Odds & Ends, and I also fussy cut several images from the 12 x 12 papers so I had smaller images for layering.

There are flowers from the Bits & Pieces and flower shaped sprinkles on each of these banners for finishing touches.

This makes the perfect banner for your peg board or other display area in your craft room! Happy Crafting!

CUTE & CRAFTY DECORATIVE WALL ART | with Miguel

Cute and Crafty is definitely one of my favorite collections.  It has inspired me to create a series of organizers and even decorative wall art!

I created this set of pictures to give color to my workspace, I used wooden frames which I painted with white acrylic paint, I cut pieces of chipboard, covering each piece with a different design from the collection.

I used odds and ends to decorate each picture.  I attached them with foam tape to a 3D effect. I created 3 pictures using the Odds & Ends.  For the fourth picture, I covered it with the button paper and added  the doodlebug shape sprinkles that matched perfectly.  Incredible, don't you think?

Now my creative space looks very colorful like Doodlebug, which is my totally work style and obviously my favorite brand.

I say goodbye as always hoping that my work inspires you to grow.  Thanks for reading!

CUTE & CRAFTY CRAFTROOM DRAWERS | with Miguel

This week we are continuing projects with the beautiful Cute and Crafty Collection.  This week I continue with some altered wood drawers to help brighten up the Doodlebug area of my craft space.

On this set of drawers, I am doing the same technique as on my previous project.  I painted the drawers turquoise, then I placed cardboard pieces lined with patterned papers from the collection.  I love how the pieces look on the drawers,  giving it a different and unique design.

I used Doodle Pops and decorative borders, to give my project lots of fun and color.

I will use this chest of drawers to store and organize my doodle pops and my Doodle Twine threads as shown in the photo. What do you think of this great idea?

Do not miss more inspiration in my next posts, I will continue creating very nice things for my scrap room.  See you soon and thanks for reading.

CUTE & CRAFTY ORGANIZER | with Miguel

Cute and Crafty is a collection that all scrappers have been asking for and today the dream is a reality thanks to Doodlebug!  As soon as I saw the collection, I fell completely in love with it, the designs and colors are really beautiful.  So today I present the first project of a series that I plan to do for the Doodlebug area in my scrap room!

One of my favorite ways to craft is to embellish wood boxes like this organizer.  I painted it in pink tones since I thought it was a color that most girls love and it is also a big part of the Doodlebug color palette.

I made a shaker for the front part.  I used the ruler border that on the B side of the Painted Posies Cardstock. Personally that sheet is one of my favorites! Inside my shaker I placed small plastic beads and 3 buttons from the coordinating boutique buttons.  They look beautiful inside.

For the remaining sides I cut pieces of cardboard, covered them with some of the patterned paper to give a bit more dimension to the project. I finished decorating with the beautiful DoodlePops. The little Glue Gun is my favorite!

I hope you enjoyed my project.  Don't miss my next post! I hope I gave you some inspiration and  I say goodbye and until next time.

CUTE & CRAFTY CRAFTROOM DECOR | with Wanda

Hi Doodlebug crafty friends! Do you ever feel like Doodlebug can read our minds? This new Cute and Crafty Collection feels like everything I would ever dream of in a paper collection! I'm so excited to see all the projects people are going to make with this adorable creativity themed collection. Something for every crafter, from stamping to sewing and scrapbooking. I love it! It was hard to decide what to make first. I decided to make a sign for my craft room! I used a chipboard sign shape that I got at Hobby Lobby, and went to town decorating it with paint, paper, stickers, Sprinkles and much more. It's already sitting on a shelf in my craft room next to my idea books!

I started by painting the sign with a few coats of white craft paint. I set it aside to dry and decided on my paper choices and stickers etc. I ended up using the pencils paper as my background paper. It has all the colors in it, and it's such a nice pattern. Next I used the Alex Alphabet Dies and die cut the letters from black cardstock. I mounted the letters onto a white strip of cardstock and lined it with Doodlebug Textured Cardstock. I knew I wanted to use that big Sticker as my main image!

I used a bunch of the mini icons stickers to add a row of happy crafting items across the top of the sign. I mean smiling ink pads and stamps?? C'mon!!

I used the Doodlebug Nesting Scallops Dies to add a design element on the lower right corner and added the pencils cup sticker. I affixed the patterned paper to the chipboard sign shape using clear glue. I traced the shape with a pencil and cut the corners out by hand.

This is a whole giant pile of happiness!

This is what the sign looked like before I got started! It's so fun to decorate with Doodlebug!

I used a white gel pen to add 'highlights' to the black letters. I put a heart in the middle of the letters and added some pretty floral Sprinkles elements. I added the Live Love Create sticker underneath the words.

I'm so happy to share this project with you! I'm wishing you a very happy, cute and crafty day! I'll be back soon with some more projects. Take care!

CUTE & CRAFTY CRAFTROOM FRAME | with Karen

As a card maker, new Doodlebug collections always mean new projects for other people. In fact, I usually spend a fair amount of time with a new collection trying to figure out which elements and images work for the important people in my life.

But when the new Cute & Crafty collection arrived, I decided that the first person I would make a project for was, well...myself! Given that I absolutely love stamping and colouring Doodlebug images, I thought it would be so fun to create a little home deco piece that really spoke to who I am a crafter...

No-Frame

...because does it get any cuter than these little stamping themed die cuts from the Odds and Ends pack? Nope, I didn't think so!

Close-up-1

All I did was take out all the pieces that I was drawn to and lay them out in a way that I loved. Then, simply using some adhesives in different depths, I attached all the papers and elements to the backing board of the frame (I loved the kraft colour so I decided not to cover the whole frame backing).

And if you are an Odds and Ends die cut fan like I am, you are going to love the Bits and Pieces packs! Filled with adorable tags and florals, they perfectly compliment all of the fun other shapes in both the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat packs.

Frame

So, this little piece is going to find a home in my crafting space. And if I am being honest, I think that I make make another two to go with it! Because at the end of the day, it's okay to make projects for me! And it beats just hoarding all the cute product in my drawer! ;)  Thanks for stopping by!
