FAIRY GARDEN PENDULUM CLOCK | with Jennifer

Hello Doodlebug friends. Today I'm sharing a project that features Petite Prints, the Fairy Garden collection, and Fairy Garden cutting files.

While I was laying out the design for the piece, I thought the fairy house window would be the perfect placement for a clock. So removed 2 of the smaller circles from the roof and enlarged one to accommodate the clock hands.

I used round assorted sprinkles around the dial. The clock mechanism was purchased online. The clock hands were brass originally, but I spray painted them teal to match the piece.

In this closeup, you can see I mainly used the 12x12 woodgrain and linen petite prints. Paired with die-cuts, shaped sprinkles, and a floral border, they worked together beautifully.

Above the door, I added a chipboard overhang. Since this is pretty small, I used a mixture of petite print patterns from 6x6 pads.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Happy crafting!

SIMPLY SPRING MINI ALBUM + FLIP THRU VIDEO | with Traci

It's the end of February and you know what that means?  Spring is right around the corner ... well, officially the first day of Spring is March 19th this year.  It might still be cold where some of you live, but all the more reason to pull out some sunny spring paper and play!  Here's a fun little project to spark your Spring creativity ...
Most of the paper is from the adorable Simply Spring collection.  There might be a piece here and there from other Doodlebug lines, and I used some petite prints for the shutters and window box.  The window design is a Doodlebug SVG file which you can purchase over at Lori Whitlock's shop here.
Check out my video to see all of the pages, and I'll have a tutorial for cutting and assembling the window posted over on my blog tomorrow, 2/28, so stop by if you'd like to get more info on the design.
Thank you for letting me share another mini album with you today!

CHRISTMAS MAGIC LAYOUT USING CUTFILES | with Tegan

I absolutely love Christmas and so I couldn't wait to create projects with the new Christmas Magic collection. The mix of Santas, reindeer, gingerbread men, and adorable colors just makes me happy. I love creating fun cut out backgrounds for my pages, so I also used the tree cut file from the Doodlebug Design Santa in Car Cut File.

I used the tree cut file (again from the Doodlebug Santa in Car Cut File) to create a large background design of trees. I then backed each tree with fun patterned papers from the Christmas Magic collection. I used the adorable Tiny Heart Shape Sprinkles to give each tree a topper. This tree design turned out so pretty I almost didn't want to cover the trees up! I then used pieces of the Candy Stripe Washi Tape to embellish the top and bottom of the page.
At the top, I added the banner sticker from the This & That Sticker Sheet and a reindeer sticker from the Mini Icons Stickers. I also used the Holly & Pine, Peppermint Twist, and Cookies & Candies Shape Sprinkles to embellish the Christmas tree background.

I added a few of the Peppermint Twist Shape Sprinkles to the scalloped circle sticker for some fun dimension. I further embellished it with Odds & Ends pieces and a Mini Icons Sticker reindeer.

I used part of an Odds & Ends banner die cut to anchor my photos. I then used some Teensy Type number stickers in Limeade to put the year (2018) on the banner. And isn't that Santa and little elf die cut Odds & Ends piece just the cutest?!
Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you are just as excited about scrapbooking Christmas layouts as much as I am! Have a great day!

CANDY CARNIVAL MANDELA CUT FILE LAYOUT | with Erica

I have always loved Halloween so every October I count down the days! This love for Halloween and all things spooky has rubbed off on all of our kids and they love it just as much as I do! I joke with the kids that they have to dress up every year until they are 18! I mean I am kind of serious but if they truly do not want to dress up when they are older I will not make them...I guess! I wanted to document one of the older boys out trick or treating and the Candy Carnival collection was perfect!
I used one of the new cut files that will be available soon for you! I cut it out on some white cardstock and backed it with papers from the 6x6 Candy Carnival paper pad. I popped up the backed cut file with some foam squares and added it to a white background.
I printed my photos in black and white and added them to my page! I used the Candy Carnival mini stickers and 12x12 sticker sheet to embellish around the photos. The photos are from our 2017 Halloween and I love that one of our older boys was totally dressed up and trick or treating! He was collecting candy for our youngest..well that is what he said anyway..but I know he totally had the best time and he enjoyed eating most of the candy! For my title I used the Doodlebug Design Skinny alpha stickers and I just love how it came out! I also added some of the super cute shape sprinkles to embellish the layout! The Candy Mandala cut file was so fun to back and I love that I can showcase so many of the papers on one page. Here is a look at my completed layout using the Candy Mandala cut file with Candy Carnival. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to create something with the Candy Carnival collection.

SCHOOL DAYS LAYOUT | with Tegan

When I first saw the Doodlebug Design Hot Air Balloon Ride cut file, I couldn't wait to use it! I used the Doodlebug Design Citrus and Sunflower cardstock and I Heart Travel collection to cut out and design the hot air balloons. I started to create a travel layout with them, but then I thought they would be so cute on a layout of my niece's first big day of kindergarten! I LOVE that all of the Doodlebug Design collections mix and match so easily and so my hot air balloons coordinate perfectly with the School Days collection!
I adore the School Days Playground Plaid (blue star) patterned paper I used as my main background. It is the perfect shade of royal blue and I love how the Citrus and Sunflower color hot air balloons pop against the blue background. I embellished the top photo with School Days Chit Chat pieces, Odds & Ends pieces, and Mini Icons Stickers. And the You're A Star Sprinkles add the perfect finishing touch, don't you think?
I used the 'LOVE THIS' die cut piece from the I Heart Travel Chit Chat pack for the title on the yellow hot air balloon. I love how the round yellow and green I Heart Travel Sprinkles Shapes add a fun finishing touch to the balloons!
I embellished my second photo with Mini Icons Stickers, Star Sprinkles Shapes, Odds & Ends pieces, and a piece of the adorable Apple A Day Washi Tape. I anchored all of this with a piece of the Good Measure (ruler) patterned paper. And how cute is the journaling on the lined paper Odds & Ends piece?!?
Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to grab the new Doodlebug Design Hot Air Balloon Ride cut file and the School Days and I Heart Travel collections to create a fun back to school page!

SCHOOL DAYS LAYOUT | with Erica

I have been working my way through all my back to school photos and so glad I have the Doodlebug collection to help me document these moments! One other thing that is helping me get my layouts done is the amazing cut files Doodlebug has to offer! You can get the cut files at; Silhouette Design Store or at Lori Whitlock! If you have never used a title cut file like this I hope this layout inspires you to try it! It is a great starting point and cut files help break me from a creative slump!
I backed the star student & star border cut file using the 6x6 School Days paper pad. I love that the images are scaled down and they work perfectly to back the files. I printed two photos I took of our soon Gavin on the first day of school. I matted the photos on A is For Apple paper to add a little red behind the photos.
I popped up the cut file on a piece of white textured cardstock and then adhered the star border right below the title using some wet glue. I pulled out all the School Days embellishments and found some cute star stickers to add around the title cut file. I also used two of the School Days doodle pops on this layout! I tucked in some School Days stickers around the photo and added a couple tabs! I sprinkled a few tiny enamel hearts around the page as well to bring in some more stars! To finish up my page I added a strip of jounaling using my We R Memory Keepers typewriter. Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great day!

SCHOOL DAYS - FIRST DAY OF KINDER LAYOUT | with Tegan

To say that I had fun documenting my niece's first day of kindergarten would be an understatement! The brand new Doodlebug Design School Days collection is full of whimsical colors and adorable icons! The cute paperclips, colorful stars, and smiling school supplies were a blast to work with! I can't wait to use this collection again!
I love that the Chit Chat die cut packs always have words that can be used for quick and fun titles, like the 'First Day' title here. The 'Just a Note' cut apart card from the Color Me Happy Patterned Paper makes a super fun spot for the journaling! I used the awesome rainbow striped Very Primary Patterned Paper to make top and bottom border strips. And aren't those crayon stickers and little girl sticker just the cutest?!

I wanted to somehow 'feature' the adorable Shape Sprinkles and Icon Stickers, so I die cut stars out of a few of the simple patterned papers of the collection. I used the star from the Doodlebug Design Lots O' Luck Lucky Shapes cut file set to create 3 1/2" stars from the blue star, black music note, and red dot patterned papers. I then used dark yellow embroidery floss to create a fun circle on the star to really make the stickers pop. And of course I used the You're A Star Shape Sprinkles to embellish around my big paper stars!

Craft paint, paperclips, and pencils - oh my! There are so many super fun elements in this collection that I can't picked any favorites! What are your favorite things in the School Days collection?!

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to grab the School Days collection and document your student's first day of school!

ALL MEMORIES ARE WORTH PRESERVING | with Tegan

What do you do when it rains on your vacation? Take a selfie in your ponchos and document your day using the adorable Doodlebug Designs Simply Spring collection, of course! All of the cute icons are just perfect for creating springtime projects- rain or shine! I also couldn't wait to use the Doodlebug Design Simply Spring Clouds cut files and I love the way my clouds turned out!
I started by using the City of Love cloud print patterned paper from the French Kiss collection as my background paper. I then used raindrops from the Doodlebug Simply Spring Umbrella cut file to cut my rain background out of white cardstock. I then backed the raindrops with aqua blue checkered patterned paper.  I used the super fun Doodlebug Design Simply Spring Clouds cut file to cut out clouds from my favorite Simply Spring patterned papers. I used coordinating Doodlebug cardstock to cut out the cloud outline. Skinny Cardstock Alphabet stickers in Tangerine finish off my title.
I used another fun small print patterned paper from the Simply Spring collection to cut out a second cloud. Again I used coordinating Doodlebug cardstock to die cut the outline of the cloud. Seriously aren't these clouds just the cutest?! I used Simply Spring Odds & Ends pieces and Mini Icons Stickers to embellish my clouds.
Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document your next rainy day using the adorable Doodlebug Design Simply Spring collection!

3D TOUCAN | with Jennifer

Hello everyone. I'm always inspired by the Doodlebug products I get to play with. So for my second Spring project, I decided to use a sentiment sticker from the Simply Spring collection as my starting point. I paired it with a cute toucan cutting file, and here's what I came up with.
The sentiment sticker was first mounted to chipboard. I then removed some flowers from a Doodle-Pop and used them to embellish the floral swag.
The toucan cutting file was cut from chipboard using my Silhouette and then mounted to layers of foam board.
Most of the bird was covered in paper, as usual. But for the toucan's back and tail feathers, I used a leaf shaped die. The green part of the wing is a cabbage Doodle-pop turned upside-down.
Two pieces of wood were used as the base. Flower shaped sprinkles and Doodle-pops were added for color.
Thanks so much for joining me today. Happy crafting everyone! :)

SIMPLY SPRING | Gift Set with Brigit

I love working with Doodlebug's cut files, they are absolutely the cutest and the Simply Spring collection is one of my all time favorites. It has pretty flowers, adorable kids and darling little bugs. The papers are wonderful, great designs and all the coordinating embellishments are simply delightful.

The bees (svg) are so sweet, though they both would make a great shaped card I chose the one with open wings for my gift set. I added some swimming pool twine, love matte sprinkles, a little flower from the may flowers sprinkles and a sticker from the this and that sheet.

I used a treat box from the silhouette store and made a cutout using the simply spring window flower box, (svg, silhouette). Instead of using the flowers in the cut file I replaced the with some may flowers sprinkles. I decorated the rest of the box using the icon stickers, chit chat, sunny sky clip, and bumblebee twine.
