FUN AT THE PARK TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK | with Erica

Do you want a fun way to document your next park adventure? Try using a travelers notebook! These little books are perfect to fill up with your memories and is easy to take along with you.

The insert I am using is from Doodlebug and I am also using the Buffalo check Travel Planner cover. You can find covers and inserts at just about any paper crafty store or make your own. I covered the pages of the insert with different papers from the Fun at the Park collection.

I added photo mats and embellished around the page so I can easily pop in my photos and journaling.

I do not use every page inside the insert. Some of the pages I will adhere some of the pages together so they are a little more sturdy and my pages will hold up.

Using different dies from my stash to create some photo mats will add some little details around the pages! I pop up the embellishments on thin foam so I can easily tuck in my photos.

It is super easy to create pockets using pattern paper so you can tuck in tags, photos, receipts and other memorabilia.

A lot of the inserts out on the market include pockets in the front cover. This is the perfect spot to add larger die cuts, stickers, clips and photos.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you enjoyed my travelers notebook filled with the Fun at the Park collection! I had so much fun creating this and love how it turned out. If you have not yet used a travelers notebook to document a trip or any memories I highly recommend it! You will be surprised at how quick these little albums come together.

LOTS O' LUCK - Travelers Notebook Scrapbooking | with Kathy

My daughter is currently studying abroad in Scotland.  She's been travelling with friends, seeing so much!  She recently flew over to Ireland to visit friends who are studying there, which was very conveniently timed for me... since I had the brand new Lot's O' Luck Collection to scrap with!  Being a good daughter, of course she sent me pictures.  I decided to use them in my 52 Favorites Daily Doodles Scrapbook!
I used pictures of her on the coast of Howth, Ireland for my first layout.  I love the touches of gold in the Lot's O' Luck Collection!  They add the perfect bit of sparkle.   I added some Gold Abigail letters and gold striped paper from the Hello 6x6 Pad to complete the look.
My next layout features pictures that my daughter SnapChatted to me.  I love their playful feel!  I used some of the black elements from Lot's O'Luck including the Odds & Ends Arrow and the scalloped frills sticker from the This and That Stickers.  I also used some Beetle Black Skinny Type Alphas.  I love the Shaped Sprinkles too.. it's a fun way to add some dimension without being too thick for my book!  Have you played with Lot's O' Luck, or your Daily Doodles Travel Planner?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook (@doodlebug design) and Instagram (@doodlebugdesign).  We would love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

LOTS O" LUCK -Travelers Notebook Spread |with Tya

Hello there! I'm up today on the blog sharing a Traveler's Notebook spread that I made using the adorable Lots o' Luck collection! I have grown to love this size of spread to focus on just a few special photos like these ones that were taken on St. Patrick's Day a few years back. This is a great collection to use to take a moment and thank your lucky stars for the special people in your life.
I started with one of the dot/grid planner inserts. I love the subtle pattern of the dot as a background. On the left side of the layout, I started out with 3 photos of my kiddos and mounted them on some white cardstock and some dot/stripe 6x6 pattern papers. I added a few speech bubbles from the Odds and Ends and then some Shamrocks Shape Sprinkles and Gold glitter sprinkles were added.
On the far left edge, I added the cute leprechaun on his pot of gold from the Odds and Ends. He is so adorable, isn't he? I love all the detail and the whimsy it adds to my spread.
On the right side, I added a piece of the plaid side of the Pot o' Gold paper as a background. I mounted my photo on some white cardstock. I cut out two banner shapes from the same yellow and orange dot/stripe 6x6 paper and added them to the top right side of the photo. A good design tip I like to do is to carry the same colors on both sides of the spread for cohesiveness. I added a large green shamrock and the Lucky title to the page. They are both from the Odds and Ends. I then typed up some journaling and added it to the teal dot/stripe 6x6 pattern paper. To the bottom edge of the journaling, I added a strip of black scallop border stickers from the This and That sticker sheet. To finish this page of I added a gold heart die cut from the Odds and Ends and then added a few more gold glitter Sprinkles.
I hope that I have inspired you to make a Travelers Notebook spread of your own.  This collection is perfect for St Patricks Day or any day that you want to appreciate how lucky you are to have those special people in your life. Happy Crafting friends!

FRENCH KISS Travelers Notebook Scrapbooking | with Kathy

How are your resolutions coming this year??  I've managed to stick to two... So far I've stuck to a healthier eating plan and I've kept up to date in my 52 weeks Traveler's  Notebook Scrapbook!  For weeks two, three and four I used the French Kiss Collection... take a peek!

My first spread features one of my favorite pups.  Maya is my neighbor's sweet dog... and Maya LOVES my husband.  It's hysterical how excited she gets when she sees him.  My neighbor jokes that if she wants to get Maya to go somewhere, she'll say... "Is that Ed? Go get him!"  So of course when we get a funny SnapChat from Maya which says, "I wonder what Ed is doing...."  we have to offer to take her for a walk.  The hearts from the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends packs were perfect, AND I got to use the adorable Pug Odds & Ends Piece!

My week three spread also features the French Kiss Collection.  Before my daughter went back to school, we met up with one of my scrappy friends Mary-Ann for a fun girls day of shopping and lunch.  While we were in one store, we had to try on the heart shaped glasses... and of course take a selfie of the event.

I think that the Passion for Plaid paper is my favorite of this collection!  And the Ooh La La sticker from the This and That Stickers was perfect!

I also love the Heart Throb Shaped Sprinkles... they add he perfect little sparkle and aren't too thick to be in my notebook.   Week four is one of my favorite pictures of my daughter.  Right before she left to go back to school, we took a trip into Boston and went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum... the place is amazing!  My daughter especially loved the solarium and decided any house she buys should have one!

If you've used any French Kiss or other Collections in your 52 Weeks Scrapbooking, make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook (@Doodlebug Design) or Instagram (@doodlebugdesign).  We would love to see what you've created!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

Travellers Notebook Scrapbooking | with Kathy

Do you make New Year's Resolutions?  This year my crafty resolution is to get back to more actual scrapbooking!  Over the last couple of years I've moved away from more traditional scrapbooking and more into general paper crafting, and I miss documenting those memories!  I thought that scrapping my favorite photo each week would be a good way to get back into the swing of things, and Doodlebug's Daily Doodles Travel Planners are the perfect platform for this type of scrapping!

I started by creating a dashboard for my 2019 memories.  I cut a piece of  Floral-Graph Petite Prints in Pistachio to measure 9.75" x 8.5", and then scored the file at 4.5" and again at 5.25" to make the "binding" wide enough to hold 3 of the Daily Doodle Travel Planner Inserts.  I decorated the cover using a couple of Lily White Doodlebug Doilies, papers from the So Punny and Dot-Stripe Petite Prints 6x6 Pads, Chit Chat Pieces from the Hello Collection and some Abigail Stickers in gold.  Once it was decorated, I laminated the whole thing to make it more durable and inserted it along with 3 of the Travel Planner Inserts into my Buffalo Check Travellers Notebook.
Once my dashboard was ready it was time to get started documenting 2019!
For my first layout, I used the buffalo check paper from the Down on the Farm 6x6 pad, Petite Prints, Stickers and Odds & Ends from the Hello Collection and some Abigail Stickers.  I even pulled out my trusty typewriter to type up some journaling!   I think I'm off to a good start!  Now if I can keep up with doing this weekly, I'll be in good shape!  Are you documenting your memories in a Doodlebug TN??  We'd love to see what you create!  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on social media so we can see!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Pumpkin Party Daily Doodles | with Jennie

It's that oh so fun time of year when we can really get excited for decorating! We can break out the ghoulish pumpkins and macabre skeletons.  It's time for Halloween.  As luck would have it, we can start preparing our planners, too! So, I decided to use my new Doodlebug Travelers Notebook + inserts for my planning!  They are just perfect and this seemed like the best time to start using them!
Jennie McGarvey Doodlebug Designs Travelers Notebook Halloween
Talk about cute, am I right? I am positively in love with the Buffalo Check Daily Doodles Travel Notebook -- it's perfect for all year long. But, right now, I love how it goes with the Doodlebug Pumpkin Party collection.
Jennie McGarvey Doodlebug Designs Monthly View Travelers Notebook Halloween
The monthly view is at the beginning of the insert so I wanted to make sure I got this month off to the right start.  I wanted a solid base, so that is where both the Doodlebug Petite Prints collection, the Teensy Type Alphabet Stickers and the Abigail Alphabet Stickers come in. They provide the base for all of the Pumpkin Party accents I wanted to use.

Just like this!  Don't you love how I was able to combine a bit of the 12x12 cardstock stickers, the Icon Stickers and the So Corny Sprinkles.  I think it's just the cutest little accent to my ordinary plans.

Where to look first?!  The Icon stickers are the perfect size -- don't you love the ghost? And there were so many of the Pumpkin Party Chit Chat pieces I wanted to use it was tough to limit myself to just one! Because of that, I had to make sure to dress it up with the Silly Spiders Sprinkles - aren't they just perfect together?
I cannot wait to show you how I've set up my entire travelers notebook full of all things fun and not at all spooky for Halloween!
