PRETTY KITTY PENCIL HOLDER | with Miguel

We continue this week with more Pretty Kitty projects! I altered a pen holder base using the collection to make a fun desk accessory, and I love the results!

I used the Pretty Kitty Doodle Cuts to create a sofa where a couple of kittens will rest!   I cut several layers of foam to give the 3D effect and create dimension in my project. Cool, don't you think?  I then covered the rest of the container with more patterned papers from the same collection.

The sides of the pencil container were decorated with pieces of gray cardboard that are covered in the patterned papers, as well as the base and the rest of the wooden piece.

And what is better than a Doodle Pop to add a sweet touch to my project!  I also decorated with Odds & Ends and Puffy Stickers.

Here I show you how my creations for the sweet Pretty Kitty Collection look together. It is an explosion of love and cuteness!

Until next time!

HELLO DESK ORGANIZER | with Traci

Who doesn't want a pretty desk?  If we have to spend time there to work, pay bills, or even do some crafting, we all want a work space that's functional and inviting.  Today I have a project to share that might help brighten up your workspace a bit.
I discovered this fun box by Graphic 45 in my craft stash and decided to cover it with gorgeous papers from the Hello collection. I wanted something for my desk to hold notepaper, paperclips and sticky notes.  This will be functional and pretty!
For the outside of the box, I used 12x12 paper and a scallop border sticker to decorate around the edge.  For the top, a 3x4 card, odds & ends, and a cute typewriter doodle-pop add color and dimension.
I continued the papers and scallop sticker inside the box.
Finally, I had lots of left over icon stickers from the collection so I added them to some lined note paper, punched holes, and tied up the sheets with ribbon for a fun little notepad that fits perfectly into the box. A colorful pen and some jelly clips finished up my project.
I have links to supplies I used on my website at www.artsyalbums.com.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer, but if you have to be inside at a desk, why not make it colorful and fun? Happy crafting!
