HEY PUMPKIN DOODLE POP CARDS | with Karen

Today, as I was looking through my new Doodlebug Hello Pumpkin collection for some inspiration, I came across the Doodle Pops! And boy, oh boy, are they a treat (pun not intended). So, I decided I would feature 3 of my favourites on this set of cards - because after all, Halloween is all about the treats!

All-three-1

So I grabbed a set of card bases from the Cards & Envelopes set that coordinates with the collection and got to work - layering paper with some die cuts from the Bits & Pieces pack and a couple of sentiments from the Chit Chat pack.

Cat-closeup

The glorious part about the Doodle Pops, besides the adorable shapes and characters, is the tremendous dimension these cute stickers bring to any project. Layer upon layer of goodness really does pop on any project you add them to. For this card, I also added some foam adhesive to the die cuts I used around the Doodle Pop just to make sure that they blended in on the design of the card.

Cupcake-closeup

On this card design, the Doodle Pop was perfect for the center of the card - a cut out that looks a bit like a frame.

And for this cutie - well I wanted the whole focus to be on him and his adorable, shiny glasses so I added him right to the top layer. Because let's be real - he steals the show anyway!

All-three-2

I love this collection. I mean, I really love it. In fact, I love it so much that I am so sad that this is the last project I get to feature here with it. The good news is that many of the team members have more to share with you over the next couple of weeks so if you are anything like me, stay tuned for so much more fun with Hello Pumpkin!

And since I won't chat with you before Halloween - have a wonderful one in any way that you chose to celebrate! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

HAPPY HEALING DOODLE POP CARDS | with Karen

It's Doodle-pop time! Every once in awhile, I force myself to share my stash of Doodle-pops on projects. For me, they really are everything I love about Doodlebug - the cute characters, the amazing colours and all the layers that make them...well...pop. It's no wonder so many of us collect them!

And the set that is part of the Happy Healing collection are no exception. The cute Doodle-pops will brighten up any person's day, so it seemed fitting to use them on a set of get well cards!

Because I wanted the Doodle-pops to be to focus of the cards, I went for clean and simple design on top of the coordinating Cards & Envelopes. With a bit of patterned paper, a tag from the Bits & Pieces pack and a few embellishments like mini doilies and mini paper clips, these cards make the Doodle-pop the star of the show.

Which is really not hard - I mean, look at this amazing mug...the transparent velum used for the steam and the sliver spoon put it right over the top. I really try not to play favourites with my Doodle-pops, but this one might just be one of them (and it would be perfect for a variety of occasions - not just a "get well" theme).

So, whether the new Happy Healing Doodle-pops end up on your projects or in your collection, I know you will love them! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

HELLO AGAIN ACETATE GIFT BOXES | with Tarrah

Do you like receiving gifts in cute gift boxes? I sure do! The new and GORGEOUS Hello Again collection is the perfect collection to create some gift boxes of your very own!

The new Gold Dot acetate included with the collection made the best foundation for my boxes. I created 2 different sizes using the acetate as the main base. I then chose some patterned papers from the 6"x 6"  paper pad and created tops and bottoms for the boxes.

I wanted the boxes to have a top that could be lifted off however so that it stayed nearby so I added some doodle twine through the lid and the sides of the box to keep it attached to the box. I used the new colors of doodle twine in Mint and Coral and threaded through a cute charmer for each one. The Little Charmers are new too!

I just love me some Doodle Pops and gift boxes are the perfect project to use them on. I added the butterflies to the largest box. Placing one on top of the lid and also placing one on the front of the box. I bent up the wings of the butterfly to show the dimension. The Flower bouquet was a great fit for the front of the smaller box.

I added a Chit Chat sentiment to each box so that I can use these as a thank you or a gift one day, I finished off the boxes with some of the smaller Doodle Pops and placed a gift inside each one. I love how these turned out, they were super easy to make and the result is super cute don't you think?!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy creating!

DOODLE POPS & PUFFY STICKERS BLESSED LAYOUT | with Tarrah

You can never go wrong with hearts right? Especially when you have Doodle Pop hearts!

This week the Doodlebug Design Team were challenged to use the gorgeous Doodle Pops and Puffy Stickers in our projects! Wow what a hard task that was! I don't actually have THAT many Doodle Pops and what I do have, I don't want to use lol!

I decided to use the beautiful Love Notes collection and added lots of hearts to my page!

I trimmed 2 of the 12' x 12' patterned papers to create some larger vertical strips and added 2 border stickers to the open edges on my white cardstock background.

I layered a paper from the 6' x 6' paper pad under my black and white photo of my beautiful Mum and I and slightly tore the bottom edge, I then added craft foam underneath and adhered this horizontally on the page. I also layered a note card and some of the circle die-cuts.

I just love the various hearts in this collection, their cute faces are adorable! I added lots of the die-cut hearts and also some of the stickers too and of course the Doodle-Pop ones as well! I used various size adhesives to pop some up from the page and to also have some sitting flatter to the page.

I added the 'Love You' Doodle Pop title and also created a second title with the Alphabet Soup Puffy stickers in Ladybug. The subtle dimension that the puffy stickers adds is so cute.

I added both shiny and matt puffy stickers to my page and I love the variation. I placed some of the phrase and word stickers from the 12' x 12' sticker sheet to help tell the story of my layout. Lastly I sprinkled some mist in both black and white and stamped the date stamp also.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you are inspired to use your Doodle Pops? We would love to see you using them!

Happy creating!

DOODLE POPS & PUFFY STICKERS EMBELLISHMENT GIFT BOX | with Niella

Hey there crafty crew :-) It's Niella here and it's delightful to see you here today! Let's get started with a sweet gift box of doodlebug buggies! This would be fun to gift for any occasion, in fact who needs a celebration to gift a handmade box of crafty assortments! For this cute gift box with window and slide out tray I've used the darling Lots of Love collection!

This handmade gift box measures 5.5"x4" and has a slide out tray with optional divider insert. One side can hold doodle-pops or stand alone doodle cuts spring garden flowers and the other can be used to house the lady bugs, so adorable! I love that once you have these dies you can use any patterned paper to your hearts desire!

Adding in some crinkle paper mix makes sure the goodies don't slide around and gives that extra neat touch to your fun gift box. I've decorated the top of the gift box with Doodle Pops, Alphabet Soup Puffy Stickers, shape sprinkles, die cut and chit chat ephemera. So many great elements from Doodlebug Design to choose from!

Idea: tuck in one or two puffy heart shapes on the doodle-pops lady bugs to make wings! Perfect.

For these buggies; I've used a mix of textured cardstock and the 6x6" Lots of Love paper pad and the Spring Garden Doodle Cuts. And how cute to have an optional window to see the little faces! I had so much fun using the dies to make a big family of buggies.

I'm going to make several of these for gifting and keeping for my craft room. Hope you've been inspired today, can't wait to see what you create! Keep crafting y'all! Until next time; doodle-doo!

DOODLE POPS AND PUFFY STICKERS AT THE BALL LAYOUT | with Lisa

This week we're focusing on Doodle Pops and puffy heart stickers!  I went through my Doodle Pops and since, I already needed to use the puffy hearts, I decided to go with some Doodle Pop hearts too. The idea was to use as many hearts as possible... :)

To start, I created a background on a cotton candy cardstock sheet, using mixed media. I used a large dauber, grabbed some pink and white acrylic paint and smooshed the color onto the paper, creating this cross design. Then I used my white Montana Marker to splatter some white paint on top.

I used a black and white photo,  so I could stick to my color scheme.  I chose this photo, I took a few years ago, where I'm dressed like a princess...;) I matted it on four different pieces of patterned paper from the Lots of Love collection and adhered it in the middle of the cross, using foam tape.

I then went ahead and used all of those cute little Doodlepop hearts that I had left. Since I had two packs of those and only used one on a previous layout, I still had nine hearts left. Then I took the puffy heart stickers in turquoise, black, white, pink, red and yellow and added a ton of those to the stripes.

The last little detail, was adding some jewels in matching colors.  That's it :)

I really love the color combo on this layout and of course, I love all the hearts. Any Lisa-layout needs hearts. The more, the better. :) I hope you like the layout and I wish you a wonderful day.  See you soon!

DOODLE POPS & PUFFY STICKERS PERPETUAL CALENDAR | with Kathy

I will admit, I am a Doodle Pop hoarder.  I have hundreds.  I love them, and I'm afraid to use them all in one!  So when the design team was challenged to use Doodle Pops and Puffy Stickers for a project... I decided to go big!  By big, I mean I used a dozen Doodle Pops!  (I might have needed oxygen after this craft project...)  I created  a fun perpetual calendar for my craft area using them all!  Take a peek...

To create the base for my calendar, I started with a brochure/photo holder cut file from Lori Whitlock which I resized to make a bit larger.  I added a piece of chipboard to the back of the box for stability, and covered the whole box with some buffalo-woodgrain petite prints.  I then used my Cinch disc puncher to cut the top and add some rings.  This allowed me to create number flips for the days of the month.  For the number pieces, I cut 14 pieces of swimming pool dot-stripe petite prints, measuring 1.75' x 2.5'.  I added some skinny alpha numbers to the center, and punched them with my disc cinch.  The left side numbers are 0-3, the right numbers are 0-9.

The front panel of the box measured slightly larger than 3" x 4", so I cut 12 rectangles using a die from my stash and various papers, and proceeded to decorate each using Doodle Pops and the Alphabet Soup Puffy Stickers.  Each month, I can swap out the front panel, which is attached with a mini clothespin.  The extra months are stored in the front pocket.

The back of the box has an easel to help it stand up.
Here is a look at all the fun months!  Those Doodle Pops are just too cute, and the Alphabet Soup Puffy stickers were the perfect size to list the months!

The best part of this project... although I used all the Doodle Pops, I still have them to look at any time I wish!  It's a win-win, lol.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

DOODLE POPS & PUFFY STICKERS EASTER TREAT BAGS | with Karen

Given that it is almost Easter, it is almost time for a little bunny to be hopping through my house. So it seems appropriate that I spent some time with the "pops" at my crafty table - you know "hops"..."pops"...okay, I know it was a stretch. But you know what isn't a stretch - that Doodlebug Doodle Pops are really one of the best product out there. They make even the simplest project - well, adorable!

All-3-1

Take for example these simple little treat bags that I created from my crafty stash. I went way back in time to the Easter Parade collection to make some cute containers for chocolate that can sit on my Easter table.

All-3-2

But the real "ace up my sleeve" were the Doodle Pops that I may or may not have been collecting over the last few years!

Closeup-1

Look, don't judge! Doodle Pops are the best. I mean, check out the Easter Basket featured on this treat container. The detail is amazing. I even embellished it a bit more with another small carrot Doodle Pop from Mr. Bunny, and a puffy icon sticker from the Over the Rainbow collection. Yes. that's right - a Doodle Pop on a Doodle Pop!

Closeup-2

Oh, and here a little tip for you: don't be afraid to fold the top layers of the Doodle Pops up a bit when you have them in place on your project. For Little Lamb, I actually pulled up a bit on his ears and legs to add a bit more dimension (don't worry - no animals were injured in pursuit of this project). I did the same on the Easter Basket bow. it adds just a bit of extra shape to the Doodle Pop and the material it is made out of is strong enough to bend and hold the shape!

All-3-3

And because I love a little bow and Doodlebug's mini paper clips, I decided to embellish the side a bit too. These simple little containers may just steal the show on Easter! in fact, I may even search through the collection to make even more...maybe! :) Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
