FRENCH KISS I Woof You Gift Set | With Kathy

The little icons in the French Kiss Collection are so stinking cute!  One of my favorites is the little Frenchie Dog.  He is just adorable!  When I saw the new French Kiss Cut files I knew I was going to make a card with him!  Take a peek...

I combined the Frenchie with the Box of Chocolates file to make this sweet shaped card.  I used the 6x6 pads for both the French Kiss and Dot Stripe Petite Prints collections to piece him together.  The Chit Chat sentiment was a perfect fit for the card, and then I just finished it with a heart and matte sprinkle!
I used the 12x12 versions of the plaid and navy papers from the French Kiss Collection to make the fun little Valentine's nugget box.  The box was made from an SVG file, I've linked to it below. To finish it off I added a little bow sticker from the Icons sheet.
It opens up and holds 3 mini candy bars!  I was thinking I might make another to hold some dog biscuits for my friend's pup!
The new French Kiss Files will be available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop tomorrow, and in the Silhouette Store soon!  Have you made something with the French Kiss Collection or Cut files?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Instagram (@doodlebugdesign) or Facebook (@Doodlebug Design), we'd love to see your projects!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Christmas Town Cut File Cards | with Kathy

Christmas Card season is in full swing!!  When I saw the new Christmas Town Cut File Collection, I just knew I had to get cutting!  The only problem was how to narrow down my selections, all of the little icons are just too cute!  I will definitely be making more soon... but I was able to narrow it all down for these cards...
As soon as I saw the adorable Snowman Look Up File, I knew I had to use it!!  His cute little face was too much cuteness to resist!  I decided to make a shaped card, and added a little banner using the Snowflake cut file from the Milk & Cookies Collection.  I used some Lily White Teensy Type letters to add the word JOY to the banner. I used some of the new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints to piece him together.
My next card is a box card I created using the Present Mouse cut file.  I made a box of the present file and had the little mouse pop up from inside!  The tag is from the Christmas Town Chit Chat pieces.  I also added some Doodlebug Sequins in Ladybug to the holly berry for a bit of sparkle!

Since there were so many cute little icons, I wanted to make a little scene card to showcase more of them!  I made a center box card using the base from this cut file from Lori Whitlock and made my own little scene using the Squirrel, Red House, Winter Tree, Tree with Snow, and Snowman with Hat files. Take a peek...

I added some Stickles to the snow for some shine and topped it off with the 'Tis the Season Banner from the Chit Chat pieces.  I love how this card folds flat, but then opens up to such a fun dimensional look!
Be sure to check out all of the Christmas Town Cut files in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop Here and they will be coming soon to the Silhouette Store!  If you make something using one of the files, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Social media so we can see! That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Christmas Town Advent Calendar | With Kathy

The holidays are upon us!  I was so excited to see the new Christmas Town Collection... the little characters and icons are too cute! I thought they would be adorable as part of an Advent Calendar... so I decided to make one!   I worked with my Silhouette Model Maker Software and designed my first SVG file!  I work for Lori Whitlock so she helped me to fine-tune the details.  I'm so happy with the results, and it's even cuter using the new Christmas Town Collection!  Take a peek...

For the tree base and star I used some new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints in Grasshopper and Lemon.  I added the little pockets using some of my favorite patterned papers from the Christmas Town collection including the Festive Flurry, Christmas Cookies, Snow Much Fun, Christmas Jammies, Berry Christmas, and Merry Hearts.  I then decorated each pocket using the Icon Stickers Sheet, Mini Icons, Baby Hearts Shape Sprinkles, Holly Berries Shape Sprinkles, and Festive Flurry Shape Sprinkles.  Here are some close-ups of the pockets...

It's going to be so fun to countdown with this sweet {literally lol} calendar! The tree file is available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and will be available in the Silhouette Store Soon!  Be sure to stop by all week for more Christmas Town Inspiration from the Design Team!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Pumpkin Party Cut Files | Layout with Kathy

Not long ago, my niece sent me this fabulous picture of my great-niece and great-niece-pup.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I was going to have to scrap it!  When I saw the new Pumpkin Party Cut files which are available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and the Silhouette Store I was immediately inspired!  Take a peek...

That face!!!  Such personality!  I wanted the picture to be the focus so I enlarged it to be 9.5" x 9.5".  I backed it with some new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints in Mandarin and Lilac, and then with the Party Plaid Paper from the Pumpkin Party Collection.  I cut the Pumpkin Party - Pumpkins in a few different sizes from some Dot-Stripe and Floral-Graph Petite Prints in Mandarin.     Here's a hint to make the pumpkins look different... In addition to resizing them I also used the flip horizontally function in Silhouette to make the same file slightly different.

I also added the Web and spider from the Pumpkin Party Web Lantern file to the corner of my layout using some Beetle Black Dot Stripe Petite Prints.  I made the spider 3D by cutting two of the spiders, then cutting one so that it was just the body.  I then layered them with some foam tape between the layers for dimension.  The eyes are from the Eerie Eyes Shaped Sprinkles and the speech bubble is from the Pumpkin Party Chit Chats.

I finished off my layout with my title which was made from Tangerine Abigail and Teensy Type Alpha Stickers.  I love mixing fonts!  Have you created a project using the Pumpkin Party Collection or Cut Files?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Social Media so that we can see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Pumpkin Party Cards | with Kathy

Doodlebug Halloween Collections are ALWAYS my favorites, and Pumpkin Party does not disappoint!  The candy, the trick or treaters, the kitty, even the spiders are cute!! (this coming from a girl who would burn her whole house down just to make sure a spider is dead...)  It took a little time, but I was finally able to narrow down my choices to make a few cards... take a peek!

I just love all of the Odds & Ends, they make it so easy to make a little scene on a card!  For my first card I created an inside shadow box card.  There's a front to the card, but when you open it, there's a little dimensional scene.  Here is the front of the card.  I used one of the Odds & Ends, stickers from the This and That Sheet and one of the ADORABLE little spiders from the Silly Spiders Shaped Sprinkles.  The papers are from the Pumpkin Party 6x6 pad and a sheet of Orchard Dot-Stripe Petite Prints.

And when you open the card, you get a fun little scene using more of the Odds & Ends, a Chit Chat greeting and sprinkles!

My next card is a shutter card.  I used the base of a card from Lori Whitlock (here) and combined it with some Odds & Ends and Chit Chat pieces to make a fun scene...

I just adore the kitty trick or treater!!! And that little mouse, cuteness overload!  The background of the card is made up of the Pumpkin Party Double Sided Cardstock and Limeade Dot-Stripe Petite Prints.  The fun stars are from the Halloween Night Sprinkles.

My last card is another shadow box type card.  I knew I just had to make a card featuring those spiders!

The base of the card was made using Beetle Black Dot-Stripe Petite Prints.  I added the spider web using the plaid side of the Jack and Friends Cardstock.  The spider is from the Odds & Ends and the eek and Happy Halloween are from the Chit Chats.  My favorite thing about this card is that I added some of the spooky Eye See You Shaped Sprinkles inside the card!

Have you used the Pumpkin Party Collection in any of your crafting?  We would love to see your creations, so be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram so we can see what you've made!  That's it for me today, be sure to stop by the blog over the next couple of weeks for more Pumpkin Party inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

So Much Pun Cut Files Cards | with Kathy

I was so excited to see the So Much Pun Cut Files!  This has to be one of the cutest, most versatile collections I've ever seen... so many fun icons, it was hard to narrow my selections to just a few for this post!  I did however and here are a few cards I created using this ADORABLE collection!
As you can see I was a little bit all over the place with themes... that's the beauty of this collection, there are SO MANY uses!  My first card used the So Much Pun Stove and Cinnamon Roll files along with some new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints.  I altered the stove a bit so that the oven door opened and inside was a the bun!  I thought this would be so cute for a newly expectant mom!  Here are some close-ups...

For finishing touches I added one of the Chit Chat Pieces for my sentiment and some Cupcake Glitter Sprinkles for the cheeks!
My next card uses the Thyme plant from the So Much Plant 1 cut file and more Dot Stripe and Floral Graph Petite Prints from the 6x6 pads. I added some extra leaves to the plant to give it some dimension and the Thyme to Celebrate sentiment is from the Chit Chat Pieces.  The Happy Birthday sticker is from the Multicolor Happy Birthday Doodles Cardstock Stickers.
My third card is indeed a Christmas themed card.  It went against my normal stance on holiday decorations before their time...but I couldn't resist.  I got the idea from the So Much Pun Double Sided Cardstock which lists out all of the hilarious puns for each of the icons.  Take a peek...
First of all... how stinking cute is that llama cut file??  I used an embossing folder from Sizzix to give him a more fluffy look and added the wreath from the Milk and Cookies Window Wreath cut file.  I created the printed sentiment using one of the Bubble Sayings Bubbles from the Booville Cut Files.  He's put together using more new Petite Prints and the wreath is decorated with some Glitter Sprinkles.  I think he's just fabulous!
We'd love to see your creations using the new So Much Pun Cut Files!  Be sure to tag us on social media so we are sure to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
You can purchase the cut files in the Lori Whitlock Store and the Silhouette Store.

Petite Prints Calendar | with Kathy

One of my all time favorite Doodlebug product lines is the Petite Prints! The Gingham Linen Petite Prints have always been a staple in my projects, so when the new Floral-Graph and Dot-Stripe Petite Prints were released, I was ecstatic!   I love using them as backgrounds and especially love them when working with the Doodlebug Cut files!   Each year I love to put together a calendar for my craft room, and no surprise, it is usually made up from Doodlebug goodies!  I got a head start on next year's calendar using the new Petite Prints and a number of Doodlebug cut files... take a peek...

This cute little calendar can sit on my table, and I love how easily it is to flip around and find a date!  Making it was really easy.  I started with 6 pieces of white cardstock each cut to 9.5" x 6".  Each piece was then scored halfway at 4.75".  To the inside of each piece of card stock , I added 2  pieces of Petite Prints that measured 4.25" x 5.5".  To make it into the star shape, I folded the cardstock pieces in half (with the petite prints on the inside) stacked them up, gluing them together to make a book-like form.  I then decorated the front cover with the year.  To make it into the Star, open it up so all of the pages fan out and clip the ends together with a couple of cute clips!

Now for the fun part, decorating each month!  I started with a print and cut calendar file from Lori Whitlock (SVG, Silhouette).  I un-grouped the file and resized it to fit into a 2.625" x 3.75" rectangle.  I then chose a fun Doodlebug Cut file for each month, which were all pieced together using the 6x6 Dot-Stripe Petite Print Pad.  Here are close ups of the pages...

More So Much Pun Cards | with Kathy

There are so many puns in the So Much Pun Collection, it's perfect for a pun-fanatic like me!  The only problem I have is choosing which ones to use next!  I finally narrowed down my selection to make these "punny" cards!

Every time I see the sweet little faces on the pill bottle and pills I laugh.  I decided to add them all along with the tissue box from the Odds & Ends into a doctor bog box card.  Who wouldn't "pill" better looking at these cute faces!  The bag was assembled using some of the new Dot Stripe Petite Prints.
I fell in love with all of the adorable dinosaurs in the Odds & Ends and knew I wanted to use a few of them on a card.  I decided to make a little shadowbox so that I could feature a bunch!  I used the Palm Tree side of the T-Riffic Cardstock and the Kraft Dot-Stripe Petite Prints for the box and then added a few of the dinosaurs to the various layers.  As always, there was the perfectly punny sentiment in the Chit Chat Pieces.

Like the pills, the faces on the pieces of pop corn make me smile!  I made a fun slider card where one of the cute little popcorn pieces pops up out of the popcorn container!  I love the Check side of the Fantas-Taco Cardstock and the Order pad side of the Perfect Combo Cardstock!  I mixed them with the Ladybug and Lily White Floral-Graph Petite Prints to make some fun layers!
