TINSEL TIME FIREPLACE GIFT BOX | with Miguel

The favorite season of the year has arrived, Christmas!  What better season to wish all the good things to our friends and family!  So today I created this beautiful fireplace gift with Doodlebug Tinsel Time collection.

This cute project is actually a box in which you can give a gift or chocolates since it has an opening on the side to insert it!

To decorate it, I used the Tiny Tinsel Town Doodle Cuts, which are just the cutest!  I put together an entire Christmas village on top of the box.

And to make it even more special, there's a pocket on the back of the box to hold a card so that you can send your heartfelt wishes in writing!  It will be treasured!

Thank you very much for stopping by and as always I invite you to continue creating with Doodlebug products!

HELLO AGAIN WATCH BOX | with Miguel

Gift boxes can  have a different styles and shapes, depending on the item you want to give as a gift.  Today I have a fun box option that I created with the beautiful Hello Again Collection!

I love adding transparency to my boxes, it always gives that elegant and tasteful touch, I decorated the cover with the Doodle-pops and a Chit Chat piece. I love how the foil accents give these pieces an added touch of elegance, don't you?

The gold assortment sprinkles add a subtle touch of sparkle and I love this. I could use so many of these,  haha!

The paper and cardstock used in this project belong to the Hello again collection. Here I show you how these two boxes that I made with this beautiful collection look together! Tell me which is your favorite?

Have a great day!

HELLO AGAIN GIFT BOX | with Miguel

Making fun boxes to package up a little gift is what I enjoy doing the most!  You have the option to let your imagination run wild and create them in so many different ways. Today I made a box with Acetate, textured cardstock, and the beautiful Hello Again collection.

In addition to using embellishments from the collection, I also decorated with some pretty butterflies and Flowers I cut using the Butterfly Wishes Doodle Cuts.  Cutting with foamy and cardstock will help you create beautiful dimensions like I did with these pieces. I loved the result!

Another of the materials that I used was the Washi tape since it looks very nice in the transparency of the acetate. Don't you think so? The Mini jewels is another product that adds sparkle to our project, look at the way it decorates the wings of the butterflies.

I say goodbye inviting you to create with the wonderful Doodlebug products. See you soon!

PETITE PRINTS SCRAP BAG | with Miguel

The moments with my scrapbook friends are unique and special! Today I  have this fun scrap bag that I created.  It's fun as a decoration, but it will also be a useful way to organize scissors, bone folder, punches and tweezers during our crop!  I created it using chipboard and lined it with then new Candy Stripe-Sprinkles Petite Prints.

The handles are made of pink eco-leather and on each side it contains acetate pockets to give it a unique and special touch.

At the end I placed a shaker tag which includes a photograph of my friends visiting the craft expo here in Mexico City. It was all so much fun!

All my project is created with the Cupcake and Bubblegum pink tones and decorated with various Cute & Crafty Chit Chat pieces and Odds & Ends as well as some Puffy Shape Heart Stickers.

The new Petite Prints are great for all kinds of projects, since they have a wide variety of color tones. See you next time!

LOTS OF LOVE ENVELOPE TREAT BOXES | with Kathy

Happy almost Valentine's Day!  I love to make and fill treat holders for friends and family (and being able to eat the practice treats is a bonus of course....).  I used the Lots of Love Collection and some Lots of Love SVG files to create these fun little envelope boxes.  Take a peek....

The little envelope icons in the Lots of Love Odds & Ends are the cutest, and designed my boxes to look just like them!  I started with this cute little Envelope Slide Box SVG from Lori Whitlock.  For the "faces" I used a couple of cut files from the Lots of Love SVG Collection.  For the first box, I used the Lots of Love Rainbow Envelope file and resized it to fit the front of the envelope box.  I used both 12x12 and 6x6 papers to create the box and slide cover.

To "top" it off I used the cute little birdie sticker from the Icons Sticker Sheet, and added some Bubblegum glitter sprinkles for the cheeks.

I used the Lots of Love Hearts Envelope SVG for my second box.  Again I resized the file to fit the front of the box. I cut the hearts from the 6x6 pad and some petite prints.  I love how they pop out of the envelope!

The finished boxes measure about 2.5" w x 3" h x 2" d... perfect to hold a bunch of Kisses or chocolate hearts!  That's it for me today, I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

PUMPKIN SPICE NUGGET JAR | with Kathy

Fall is by far my favorite time of year.  It's still warm enough to be outside a lot, but with a nice crisp touch to the air!  The colors, the food... it's all awesome!  Another fun part of autumn... Doodlebug Collections!  While we are im(patiently) waiting for the new collections to arrive we are featuring some of our favorites from the past.  I got to play with one of the all time greats... Pumpkin Spice!  I decided to make a fun nugget box featuring a Pumpkin Spice SVG file and lots of goodies from the collection.  Take a peek...

I started with the Pumpkin Spice Tall Jar SVG file.  I edited the file in my Silhouette software to have an open front and cut out two, one for the front, one for the back.  I covered the openings with some acetate.  Next, I added added some sides.  I cut a 1.5" strip of paper, the length of the sides and bottom combined.  I scored the strip to create a U shape, then I scored the long sides .25" in on each side to make tabs to glue to the front and back. I did have to trim the tabs a bit so they didn't show through the acetate.  I made my base from white cardstock for some strength, and then re-cut the jars in patterned papers to cover.

I covered each of the nuggets with a strip of paper.  The strips measured approximately 1"x 3.25". I then filled my jar!

And of course I had to add a cute little face using some beetle black petite prints and some sprinkles.

I finished my jar with a cute little tag I cut using the Large Tags Doodle Cuts.  I added some stickers from the mini icons sticker sheets and the stamped sentiment is from the Pumpkin Spice Doodle Stamp set.  I think this will make a fun gift for a good friend!

If you have any fun Pumpkin Spice Projects, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram.  We love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

MY HAPPY PLACE HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOX | with Miguel

Making boxes is one of my favorite crafting activities, since you have the opportunity to make them to your own taste and size. Today I have this beautiful box that I made with the My Happy Place Collection.  This could be a fun gift for someone special on their birthday!

I designed this box to fit one of the cut out card designs from the collection.  I wanted it to be the focus of my project.  I decorated it with shape sprinkles to give light and dimension to the center of the flowers.

I created a fun closure for the box by punching holes in the two flaps, placing an eyelet in each and then I ran a ribbon through them to create a nice bow.

Finally, I used a tag from the collection to place the name of the person who will receive this gift.

Thank you for reading see you soon!
