TINSEL TIME MANTLE FOLIO SCRAPBOOK | with Jen

Christmas is almost here! With kids and the excitement of what Santa will bring what better way to document the chaos than a mini album? I created this Here Comes Santa folio as both a folio and a decor piece! I used the Tinsel Time Mantle SVG File to make a big version of what has got to be the cutest Odds and Ends piece ever for the front of my album. I used the Puffy Icons for the little Christmas village on the mantle. I used Glitter Sprinkles for the garland and the stockings from the Odds and Ends pack.

I made the fireplace area into a simple shaker. The album is constructed so that it will stand so it can double as a decor piece during the holidays as well.

Inside there is a section for your photos of decorating the tree and your visit with Santa.

In the rest of the folio there is lots of room for pictures and a couple of pockets for other memorabilia you may want to save.

The top of the folio has flip book style pages that will hold cropped 4x6 pictures.

Underneath there is a mini layout page for a cute photo in front of the tree on Christmas Eve.

A full, free tutorial on how to make this entire project is linked below.

Have a great day!

TINSEL TIME FOLIO ALBUM | with Conny

Hey Crafty Friends, it's Conny here, sharing a lovely folio album made with the new Tinsel Time Collection. For this folio, I wanted to create spaces for all the Christmas photos we take during this festive season. If you don't have a chipboard, don't worry—you can still recreate this album!
Let's get started. I began with five pieces of chipboard to create a solid structure. From left to right, the sizes of the chipboard pieces are 3.5" x 8.5", 1" x 8.5", 5.5" x 8.5", 1" x 8.5", and 4.5" x 8.5". The sizes of the pieces used to wrap the chipboard are also in the same left-to-right order: 10 1/8" x 4 3/4", 10 1/8" x 2.5", 10 1/8" x 7 1/8", 10 1/8" x 2.5", and 6 1/8" x 10 1/8". You can refer to the picture below.
To cover the chipboard, you will need a patterned piece measuring 8.5" x 12". I used the Dashing Deer paper for this; however, you'll also need an additional piece measuring 8.5" x 5" from the Tree Trimmings collection. Start by adhering the longest piece from left to right, then place the shorter one on top right of the album (To cover inside chipboard).

Now, let's move on to the first folded page in the album, which is attached to the first spine ( 1" x 8.5"). I trimmed the Snow Bright paper to 10.5" x 8". Score this piece at 5/8", 4", and 7 1/4". Here, I added various bits and pieces, including mini icon stickers. I also created a little pocket for tags using the "Admit One" North Pole ticket and a few journaling cards.

For the pages in the middle between the spines, cut two pieces measuring 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" and score each one at 1/2" on the 5 1/2" side. Place one on the left and one on the right. Inside, I added another page measuring 5" x 8 1/4" and scored it at 1/2" on the 5" side. I adhered this page to the next, following the left page. After matting with coordinated cardstock sized at 8 1/4" x 4 1/2", I added more journaling cards and various embellishments from the collection.
On the right base, I created six flat waterfall pages using white cardstock cut to 3 1/2" x 5". Score on the longest side at 1/2" and adhere one after the other. I matted these pages with paper from the 6" x 6" paper pad and used journaling cards and puffy stickers, leaving the back of each card open for 3" x 4" photos. You can embellish even more if you like!

Happy crafting! Thank you so much for stopping by! I love sharing with you all my creative ways of making projects. Xo Conny!

HEY PUMPKIN HOUSE SHAPED MINI ALBUM | with Jen

One of my favorite types of projects to make is shaped mini albums. Doodlebug SVG files make it so easy to make fun, one of a kind projects!

Today I have a shaped pocket folio using the Hey Pumpkin collection and the Halloween Candy House SVG file, available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop.  The front is decorated with Puffy Icons and a couple of Icon stickers. I also used some of the Halloween Night Shape Sprinkles

I modified the file a little and then cut it from chipboard. I split the front porch into a separate piece to make this a tri-fold folio.

Inside I have a 4x6 tri fold flap on the left side. I matted the inside with white cardstock for photo mats and some of the Mini Icon stickers.

In the middle is an accordion pocket with three sections. This will hold plain 4x6 photos or matted 4x6 photos.

For my accordion pocket I made inserts that will all hold 4x6 photos. I added white photo mats and mini icon stickers to these as well.

FUN AT THE PARK SCRAP FOLIO | with Jen

I am all about Disney. And when it's a Disney inspired paper collection AND it's Doodlebug?!? I was first in line to grab this collection! Today I have a fun 10x10 gatefold folio featuring Doodlebug Fun at the Park. This collection has so many great elements it was hard deciding which ones to use!

On the front I made a large belly band to keep the folio closed. I decorated it with Doodle Pops and Shaker Pops, Chit Chat, and Icons and Mini Icons.

When you open the folio there are tons of spots for pictures and journaling.

I added a couple of waterfalls with magnetic closures for more picture space.

And pockets and tuck spots for more photos and journaling spots.

In the back center I created a 10x10 layout to showcase either a 4x6 or 5x7 picture .

My video walkthrough and full tutorial can be found here.  Have a great day!

SNOW MUCH FUN WINTER FOLIO | with Jen

Is the weather outside frightful? Then I have a perfect project for you stay at home in your nice, toasty craft room while it snows! This is my Layered Folio using the Snow Much Fun collection. This little folio has lots of pockets for lots of pictures and keepsakes from a fun, snowy day. I used the Let It Snow Heavy Acetate for my closure on the folio and a fun Doodle Pop to hide the magnet that holds it closed.

The front flap also serves as a pocket with a cute insert that will hold 4-6 pictures.

The next layer has diagonal pockets for more pictures and journaling cards and is the same top and bottom.

The back has double belly bands with small inserts and mirrors itself top and bottom.

The next layer has snowflake acetate flaps with photo mats.

And the bottom layer has a large flap on top of a large pocket.

On the other side we have a series of flaps sized to fit the journaling cut-aparts from the Cold Streak cardstock.

The overall construction of the folio takes about an hour. Video walkthrough and full tutorial can be found here.

DOGGONE CUTE FOLIO ALBUM | with Jen

We are excited to introduce you to our newest Design Team Member, Jen Palmer! Jen's creations are absolutely adorable, and we just know you will love them as much as we do! Here's a little bit more about Jen!!

I've been a paper crafter for about 15 years now and a Doodlebug fan for about that long too! My specialty is mini albums and I do full tutorials on almost all my projects. I also teach live at retreats a couple of times a year. I work full time for The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in their finance department. I have a husband and 10 year old son. I love crafting, camping, and all things Disney.

I am doggone excited to be sharing my first Doodlebug design team project! This week I've made a simple folio using three sheets of coordinating cardstock the Doggone Cute collection. There are such fun elements for this type of project. It measures 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" and has space for quite a few photos.

I did a simple string closure on the folio and backed the two paw prints from the Bits and Pieces together to hang from the closure. I embellished it with a shape sprinkle and some puffy stickers. .

Inside is a pocket to hold photos and a flip that will hold two 4" x 6" pictures.

On the next page is a small 3" x 4" waterfall and decorated it with some of the dog bone washi tape and a cut apart.

And finally some more flips decorates with Odds and Ends and tabs from the Bits and Pieces. And finally a pocket to hold more loose photos.

Thanks for stopping by! You can find a full tutorial on my YouTube Channel here.
