HAPPY HEALING TISSUE BOX COVER | with Tarrah

Aaaacchhhhooo! Do you have a loved one or close friend who is feeling a bit under the weather right now? Why not cheer them up with with a super cute DIY gift of a tissue box? Everyone needs tissues when you are feeling fluey right?

The Happy Healing collection is the perfect collection to make a tissue box cover with, it certainly brightens up a dull box of tissues and is sure to brighten someone's day too.

I started out by measuring my tissue box and then took 2 sheets of matching coloured 12' x 12' cardstock. I followed this tutorial on YouTube to make my tissue box cover, I did have to make a few alterations when I was adhering it all together, this is dependent on the size of your tissue box. I added the back piece of cardstock last, I loved that this gave me an opportunity to add more paper and cute embellishments.

On all sides of the tissue box, I used the Spot of Happiness patterned paper and on the top where the hole is, I added the Cross My Heart paper, using a circle die in the centre to punch out the hole for the tissues to come through. On the back piece, I used a yellow cardstock from the Happy Healing cardstock pack and added a paper from the 6' x 6' paper pad to the cardstock. Once the tissue box cover was constructed and the patterned papers were all added, it was time to embellish!

To add some more interest to the centre where the tissues are pulled out, I removed the centre out of one of the circle dies and placed the ring over the top of the tissues and adhered it down. I also added a scalloped border sticker from the This and That sticker sheet around the edge at the top. You can never go past adding Doodlepops to your projects, I chose the gorgeous teddy bear with balloons and adhered it to a notecard from the Bits and Pieces pack.

Some more of the embellishments I added were more die-cuts from the Odds and Ends pack, more stickers from the This and That sticker sheet and some pretty silver sprinkles too. I really encourage to give this project a go! It really was quite simple to make and it looks great!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Doodlebug blog today! Happy creating!

HAPPY HEALING GET WELL SOON GIFT HOLDERS | with Tya

Do you know someone who is in the need for a little pick-me-up? These fun loaded pocket Get Well Soon gift holders is just what the doctor ordered! These cuties were super quick and easy to whip up and I had so much fun decorating each of the little gifts that are stuffed into this package of well wishes!

To make the loaded pocket , I followed this tutorial here! I loved that it utilized a whole sheet of 12x12 paper! All you needed to do was do a little scoring and glueing and you were all set to decorate and fill this all up with your goodies! I used the super cute "Thinking of You" paper with its sweet florals and pops of color with the yellow and white polka dots! It made the perfect base for this holder.

I decorated the front of the holder with some cute heart paper from the 6x6 paper pad and added this fun "Hope You're Pilling Better" sticker from the This and That Sticker sheet. I also added the cute scallop silver heart border sticker from this same sticker sheet to the top edge of the front pocket. Love the bling and shine this gives! I also added several of the pills from the "Happy Pills" Shape Sprinkles to the sticker.

Inside the front pockets, I included a quick and easy greeting card that was decorated with a cut apart from the Candy Striper paper. The "Wishing you Well" banner sticker also comes from the This and That sticker sheet. I made a simple little matchbook-style tea bag holder from some Love Blooms paper.

Here is a little peek of the top pocket. I've stuffed it up with 4 different little decorated gifts.

I added some cute pink heart paper to some Tums and decorated it with some Icon Sticker sheet stickers. I also included a hand sanitizer holder that I decorated with some stickers, and Odds and Ends. I tied a fun red and white polka dot ribbon for some color and dimension. Isn't that little germ sooo cute? Doodlebug can even make a germ adorable!

Here are a few close-ups of the little gifts. This mini tag from the 6x6 paper pad was perfect for this little travel-size pain reliever bottle. It's tied on with some Cupcake Bakers Twine

I made a cute holder with a fun bag topper filled with some cough drops. I folded over a Swimming Pool doily and then decorated the doily up with some Odds and Ends, Chit Chat die cuts, and a strip of flowers from the 6x6 paper pad. I also added some "Heart Attack" Shape Sprinkles.

This was a very fun gift to put together! I am going to whip up a few and keep them on hand and then I will have them handy to give to my loved ones when needed! With as quick and easy as they are to do, this will be a great gift to keep on hand. I hope I have inspired you to make your own little loaded pockets like this one too! Thank you for stopping by today! We will see you next time! Happy crafting friends!

HAPPY HEALING GIFT CARD HOLDER | with Kathy

In our town we have a few groups that help out families in the area when someone is sick or recovering from an injury.  They help with meals, sometimes with gift cards to favorite restaurants, local cleaning service, grocery delivery and the like.  I thought it would be fun to put together a little get well gift card holder for all the items gathered.  This would also be a great get well gift to a friend after surgery or illness.  Happy Healing is the perfect collection to use for this, take a peek...

The front of my gift card holder is a shaker, made to look like the little pill bottle in the collection.  I filled it with the Pill Better, Limeade, Ladybug, Bumblebee and Swimming Pool Shakers.  I added some pills from the Odds & Ends as well as a sentiment from the Chit Chat pieces.

Inside, it holds 6 little gift card sized envelopes.  The envelopes are from a cut file, but you could create your own, they measure 3.625" x 2.5".

For the holder wrap, I cut a strip of cardstock 2.75"x12".  I scored it at 1.25", 3.25", 7.25" and 9.25".  I folded all the scores in the same direction to form the outside of the holder.  I added patterned papers to the inside and outside sections, for color and a little extra strength. My Shaker is glued to the front, bottom section (larger of the two).  The top folds in behind the shaker and I added a little piece of Velcro to keep it closed.

The gift cards envelopes are attached using a hidden binding.  To create it I started with a 2.5" x 4.75" piece of cardstock.  I scored it every .25".  The diagram below shows how I put it together.  I folded the areas under the blue sections into a peak,  and glue them together so they stick up.  The end result is you would have 6 sections that stick up with two "flaps" on the outside edges.  I glued this to the bottom section of my wrap, and then glued each envelope to one of the sections that stick up.

This photo shows how the envelopes are attached to the hidden binding.

Now for the fun part, decorating!  I used a little bit of everything to decorate the individual gift card holders including Bits & Pieces, Odds & Ends, Chit Chat pieces, Puffy Icons, Icon stickers, shaped sprinkles and the dies Happy Healing Doodle Cuts (the ones that coordinate with the Stamp Set) for the Get Well Sentiment.

My first envelope holds a tag from the Bits & Pieces with a little sentiment.  I tied it with some Limeade Doodle Twine.

The rest of the envelopes are ready for gift cards!

I completed the inside of my wrap using the cutest sticker of the bunch... the little get well bear!  I love how this turned out, and I think it would also be a fun idea for a birthday or Christmas gift!  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

HAPPY HEALING - WISHING YOU A SPEEDY RECOVERY | with Miguel

Wishing health or a speedy recovery to someone who needs it is a kind thing to do. It's even more special if we say it with a nice gift and what better way to do it than with the beautiful Happy Healing collection.

There isn't anything cuter than Doodlebug products. Today I created this little box to give some beautiful healing blessings to a person who needs a lot of care but also a lot of love.

It is made with cardboard and acetate, decorated with chit chat and this cute pop doodle of a bumpy cloud. I placed a closure to open and close without damaging the box.

Inside, I added four Doodlebug-style healing bands, wishing all the best for this patient. thank you! for stopping by here and don't forget to continue creating with these beautiful products.

HAPPY HEALING GET WELL BOX | with Jen

As we leave cold and flu season behind and move on into allergy season, sometimes you want to give a little gift to a friend who is under the weather.

Today I have a fun little gift box for you. When you have a friend under the weather who needs a little pick me up this is the perfect gift. It has accordion sides so you can really stuff it full of treats.

I added the little tea mug Doodle Pop to the front along with some Odds and Ends.

On the back I used a cut apart to make a little pocket and added one of the prescription Bits and Pieces to write at little note.

Then just fill it with whatever will make your friend feel better!

My full tutorial can be found here.  Have a great day!

So Much Pun - Pocket Tissue Holder | with Karen

I know you don't want to think about it yet, but it is only a matter of time before cold and flu season is upon us. In fact, parts of the world, it already is! So it is never too early or too late to be prepared. And yes, you guessed it - Doodlebug is here to help with the new and adorable So Much Pun collection.  If it doesn't cure you with smiles, laughter and cuteness, it can certainly help make managing a running nose a little more bearable!
This little pocket tissue holder is a breeze to create. It simply wraps around one of the small, pocket-sized tissue packages that easily slides in and out.
The Pill Better Doodlepop was the inspiration for this whole project. I mean, how cute is this Doodlepop (so cute that I almost didn't want to use him! I tend to hoard...I mean "collect" my Doodlepops)?!! The dimension and highlighting on him is spot on, but those cute eyes are just the best! I also teamed up the Doodlepop with a couple of cute sentiments from the Chit Chat pack. The Chit Chat packs are really a card-makers dream! This particular collection covers any and every occasion you can imagine, and even a few cute die cuts like hearts that help fill up those spaces that need a little extra "something".
As always, I added one of the darling mini paper clips and a mini doily; for texture. And while there is only a little bit peeking out from behind the Doodlepop and sentiments, the Pill Better patterned paper is as cute as it gets! So grab your Petite Prints and So Much Pun paper and get crafting! Your nose, or someone else's, will thank you for it!
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
