Ghouls & Goodies: Non Halloween Layout by Melinda

Boo! It's Friday and the final day of our Ghouls & Goodies inspiration and your last chance to be in the running for one of six spooky prize packs! It's Melinda with you today and once again I'm here to show you how to use a Halloween themed collection for a completely non-Halloween project. You see... unbelievably (as far as my kids are concerned) we don't celebrate Halloween in Australia so fun photos of costumed children collecting sweets just doesn't happen on the farm!

Now seeing as there are so many gorgeous wee characters in this collection I decided to use them to portray a book character theme and share how my little munchkin loves his story time.

And no matter how hard I try, I still can't help myself when it comes to making a collage on my page using all the Doodlebug embellishments. I might outgrow it one day... maybe?

Don't forget you only have until midnight tonight, Friday 12th September to enter the giveaway.

Here's a recap on the details:

Ghouls & Goodies: Cards with Courtney and Wendy Sue

Hi Doodlebug friends!  It's Wendy Sue here today, sharing some really fun Halloween Cards I made with the fabulous new Doodlebug "Ghouls & Goodies" Collection! I used a few stickers off the sticker sheet, a few embellishments, and a few papers from the 6x6 pad to create both of these cards:
I just love the little costumed characters that are featured in this collection, and these two faces were just too cute to pass up so I had to use them on my first project!
I started by choosing some fun papers from the 6x6 pad to create the card bases, added a block of solid paper to each one, wrapped them with some doodle twine then got busy embellishing!
I mounted the circle face stickers onto a block of patterned paper with foam adhesive squares so they are popped up off the card just a little bit. I tucked some sticker banners slightly underneath the face stickers and clipped a few mini paperclips to the block before adhering to the card base.
I couldn't resist using the awesome coordinating washi tape and a few sprinkles to the solid area.  I can't wait to give these away to some special people with a bag of yummy goodies to celebrate Halloween!

Boo everyone! Did I scare you?! Okay, good. I don't really like scaring people anyway. :)

Court from Court's Crafts here with a little doodlebug halloween card for you! I am NOT into the spooky halloween stuff at all. I LOVE cutesy halloween. love it. doodlebug's halloween lines are always SO up my ally!!!

I was inspired by my cousin's quilt square for this card. She made a "wonky log cabin" quilt and I was enchanted with the idea of lines not matching up... as someone who always likes things "square", this was not only a foreign concept to me, but something I needed to do for my creative side.

To do this, I actually cut a 4x4" piece of cardstock into 4 pieces - 2x2" squares... so I couldn't line them up... because like I said, I have issues... ;) Then I did the 2x2 squares individually. You can see that I couldn't even cut the papers with a lot of slope. This totally felt avant-garde to me! haha.

I also REALLY wanted to highlight the washi tape. There are 4 washi tapes that came out with this collection and I wanted ALL of them on my card! haha. The halloween chevron, "Trick or Treat", spooky stars, and dandy candy are all washi tapes!

I wanted to show you how cute the new "chippers" look on a card! I put them on both sets of my cards this month. I hope you like them! They are so much fun!

Helloooooooooo mini paper clips!!! These. Are. Darling. Pick them up. The colors - yum.

I also wanted to use the fancy frills. I am terrible about using them on cards which is silly because they have a fabulous die cut edge. So I wanted to get a few of those on my card too. Now I am addicted. :)

Thanks for hanging out with me today and don't forget to enter to WIN this gorgeous new collection!!!!

Ghouls & Goodies: Boo Bash + I Want Candy Layouts

BOO Bash Layout
by Mendi Yoshikawa

Hello Doodlebugs!  It's Mendi here today with a colorful layout using Doodlebug's new Ghouls & Goodies Collection!
I'm always looking for fun ways to incorporate all my favorite patterned papers and with this collection there were many so I decided to create a patchwork border of sorts to show them off and house several of the darling Doodle-pops.  Since my squares were all 1.5" I decided to use mostly prints from the 6x6 pad which was perfect for this!
I was excited to use the new alphabet chippers and doily for my title too!  To add a little detail, I filled each circle with one of darling boutique buttons popped up with foam tape and tied with thread.
I finished off my "journaling" block with a sticker from the This & That sticker sheet and one of the fun new paper clips tied with a twine bow.

I Want Candy Layout
by Candace Zentner

Hi everyone! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here to share a project today!

Halloween is coming!!! Yippee!! I'm not the biggest fan of the holiday, but I LOVE to make Halloween projects and layouts! My girls always want to be princesses so cross your fingers for me that this year I will have a cute little witch or goblin!

This year's Halloween collection is so super cute!! The Ghouls & Goodies collection has all the amazing stickers, patterned papers, Doodlepops, etc that all the great Doodlebug collections also have PLUS there are new products released recently that come in colors to coordinate with the collection.

As soon as I saw the new cute little character stickers and Doodlepops I knew I had to make a spooky little parade with them. Aren't they adorable?? I popped them all up with foam stickers to make them stand out.

Two of my FAV new Doodlebug products are the Chippers and the doilies in every Doodlebug color. I love how big the Chippers are and they stand our so well on layouts and the doilies are the perfect accent on every project.

The Chippers are chipboard alphabet stickers which means they are already sticky on the back, making them so convenient and easy to use.

I used random patterned papers from the matching 6x6 paper pad from this collection as well as some star dies to make my own little star border.

I hope you were inspired by the amazingly spooky and sweet Ghouls & Goodies collection!!
