Ghouls & Goodies: Black Cat Mini Album by Shellye

No one does Halloween like Doodlebug Designs!  The very first Doodlebug piece that I purchased (back in 2003) was a sheet of ghost stickers...I've been a fan ever since :)
Today I have a chipboard "Black Cat Mini Album" to share using the
new "Ghouls & Goodies" Collection.

I found the  precut chipboard album at Michael's...I loved the fact that the pattern was so easy to trace around and quick to cut out.

For the eyes I used the "O" letter stickers from the brand new "Chippers"
chipboard alphas.  The centers of the eyes are just punched paper and adhesive
glittered Sprinkles.  The whiskers are two black Pixie Sticks that I cut down
and then hand-stitched onto the paper!  Just thread the sticks like a bugal bead and
your good to go!

I used the 6X6 Ghouls & Goodies paper pad to die-cut the mats from
on all of the inner pages.

Basic supplies like Teensy Type stickers, brads, twine and buttons
will always compliment any of your Doodlebug projects!

After you have all of your inner pages decorated, think about adding some twine around the edge of the pages.  It hides the not-so-pretty hand-cut paper edges, as well as the gray chipboard.  Just use a fine-point glue pen and really press the twine down into the glue...such a nice, finished look!

Thanks for letting me share with you today!

Ghouls & Goodies: 2 Cute 2 Be Spooky Mini Album by Kathy

Hi Everyone, it's Kathy today with a fun mini I created using the new Ghouls & Goodies Collection.  I LOVE Halloween... I love seeing all of the neighborhood kiddos in their costumes, and of course, there is the candy...  Unfortunately my daughter has reached the age where she doesn't Trick or Treat anymore!!!  (sniff...) soooo... I dug out 15 years of pictures to create a mini that shows her in her costumes throughout those years!

I really wanted to use Doodlebug's new Chippers...and since my album is pretty mini... I decided to substitute the number "2" for the word "too" so it would all fit!  If you haven't seen the Chippers yet...they are FABULOUS!  From there, I featured each costume year on it's own page...I used lots of Teensy Type Alphas to document the years.

I LOVE the Halloween Treats Sprinkles Shapes!!  And the new Mini Paperclips are fun to use!
I decided to add Sprinkles Vellum in between some of my pages.  Mostly I left them plain, but I couldn't resist adding the Spider from the Diecuts Craft Kit to the one below...even better is that he is double sided so it looks like he's peeking through the next page!  Only Doodlebug could make a spider cute!  Also, if you didn't know, the new Halloween Sprinkles are sparkly!!!

I think I used just about all of the Doodlepops from this collection...they were too cute to resist!

The new Washi tapes are great too...I wanted them to show a bit more on my pages, so I first put them on white cardstock and cut them out so they stand out.
I think I used just about everything in the making of this mini!! There was no sticker sheet or embellishment left untouched!  The great thing about this collection is that it works for all sorts of costumes...cute, scary, bright colors or black...it all coordinates well!  Well, that's it for me today...make sure to keep stopping by the blog to get more Ghouls & Goodies inspiration!  You'll be so happy you did!

Ghouls & Goodies: Who's Spooky Layout by Jodi Wilton

Hi everyone! Are you getting in the Halloween spirit?  Jodi here today to share with a layout I created using the new collection Ghouls & Goodies! I simply love Halloween, and every year I try to get pictures taken of my kids in their costumes ahead of time, to ensure I get some awesome photos before Halloween night! Today I am sharing a layout I did my youngest in her little monster costume.

Here is the layout I created:

I started the layout by creating a large circle and off setting just to the left side of the background page.  I added some washi tape cut down to little banners (I thought his gave the purple circle some added flair!).  I then add two more strips of paper near the center.

I added some cute pumpkin stickers to sit on top of the strips.  Next up the title! Yes I am totally in love with the chipboard that was released! I love embellishing titles to make them unique and for this layout I added a little doodle-pop owl to the "who's" part of the title:

I then embellished with the large die cuts, by tucking a cute little ghost near the title, and added some twine to the big spider.I also added some of the doodle-pop spiders to the center of the two photos to tie them together:

I hope you are getting lots of spooky ideas for this upcoming Halloween!!  Thanks for letting me share today!

Ghouls & Goodies: Doily Wrapped Suckers for Spooky Treats

Classroom parties, work parties, neighborhood parties, etc., etc., are headed our way this Halloween season.  Amanda here today with a fun and easy treat idea that you can put together when it's your turn to bring the treats.

Doodlebug's new doilies are the perfect size for wrapping up a Dum Dums sucker, and the polka dot doilies make them look extra cute.  I die cut a little box to put all of the little Dum Dums ghouls on display.

Adding wiggle eyes to each pop makes them look pretty cute and a little creepy which is perfect for Halloween.

Making the doily wrapped Dum Dums is pretty easy.  Simply fold a doily around the sucker and secure with twine.  Adhere a couple of wiggle eyes with glue dots and you're done!  These would make a great treat for a classroom Halloween party, or, if you are feeling really ambitious, you could make one for all of the trick-or-treaters who come to your door.

The inside of this sucker stand box has nifty little insert to help keep the suckers in place.

I adhered a strip of washi tape to the sides of the box and trimmed the tape so the words lined up on the corners.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Amanda
