HEY PUMPKIN SLIDER CARD TUTORIAL | with Kathy

It's fall, and you know what that means??  A Doodlebug Halloween Collection!!  The Hey Pumpkin collection is so spooky-cute, I couldn't wait to play!  Of course I immediately thought of an interactive card... take a peek...

I started with one of the cute houses from the Odds & Ends Pack.  I wanted to make it into a slider.  The tab is one of the new tab stickers you can find on the This & That Sticker Sheet.

And when you pull the tab, you get lots of fun things!  A ghost pops up from the top of the house, the little spider drops down from his perch and you get a spooky sentiment.  The ghost is from the Odds & Ends, the spider from the Puffy Icon stickers and the sentiment is from the This & That Sticker sheet.

I love how the little spider drops down!  It's a fun surprise.

The ghost is so sweet, I also added a cloud from the mini icon stickers and the Sprinkle Moon is from the Halloween Night Shape Sprinkles.

Of course I had to add the super cute black kitty in a pumpkin...he's from the Mini Icon Stickers.  I also added some candy corn sprinkles from the Sweet Treats Shape Sprinkles.

Here is a video short of my card in action

And if you want to make your own... I have a full video tutorial here.

If you make one, make sure to tag me and Doodlebug on socials!  We'd love to see it!  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

SWEET & SPOOKY DOODLE STAMPS DIORAMA CARD | with Kathy

I love an interactive card!  Especially when it is made with the Sweet & Spooky Collection!  For this card, I started with the Sweet & Spooky Doodle Stamps & Doodle Cuts. I colored all of the cute little icons using my Copic markers, then set to putting together my card!

The diorama card was created using dies from my stash.  This card folds flat, then... pull the tabs and a little scene pops up!

I just love the Moonlight Magic paper... the little stars are so colorful and fun!  To make my tree, I stamped onto acetate using archival ink.  It's such a fun way to make your own acetate pieces!  The sentiment is from the Chit Chat pieces.

Here's a little clip of the card in action!

Have you made any projects using the Sweet & Spooky Collection & Doodle Stamps?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on socials, we love to see your projects!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

SWEET & SPOOKY POP UP CARD | with Guest Designer Wanda Guess

Hi friends! It's Wanda Guess here! How have you been? I've missed being here with you on the Doodlebug Blog - and I'm so happy to be back as a guest designer! I love Halloween, and the only thing better than Halloween is....Doodlebug Halloween! I look forward to the new collection every Fall! Today, I'm sharing a project I made with the new Sweet and Spooky Collection. It's fantastic! I love how Doodlebug incorporated some aqua and pink in with all the other traditional Halloween colors. It's fresh and cute with just the right amount of spooky!

My card today is a pop up card! I made a little street scene for Halloween night - with trick or treaters, a haunted house, and some adorable ghosties! I used a die set that makes a pop up card - there are many on the market, or you can make your own too! I love that Doodlebug papers are double sided, so the front is just as cute as the back!! This card folds into an A2 envelope, and I used the awesome Cards and Envelopes Sweet and Spooky pack for the envelope.

DOODLEBUG BLOG 1

I assembled my card from 12x12 Spooky and Sweet paper using the aqua spiderwebs paper as a nice neutral background. I used lots of icon stickers and Odds & Ends die cut pieces to decorate everything! When I first started paper crafting it was a 'thing' to make cards entirely from stickers! And it's so easy with the gorgeous stickers from Doodlebug! I put the haunted house in the background and the cute trick or treaters.... And then I glued the ghosties to the top to make it look like they're flying around.

Those big cardstock stickers from the This & That Stickers are perfect for sentiments! I used the Happy Halloween banner sticker across the bottom of my card and decorated with a few shape sprinkles.

DOODLEBUG BLOG 3

I used the orange envelope from the Cards and Envelopes pack and decorated the front of it with matching stickers. I also splattered on a bit of black paint for good measure.

Here is the back of my card - again, the double sided papers make any project just that much cuter!!

GHOST TOWN STEP CARD | with Kathy

Halloween is tomorrow!  Do you have your costume ready?  How about the candy?  I may have eaten some of mine and had to make another trip to the store for more!!  I also made one more card using the adorable Ghost Town collection!  Take a peek...

I love the Odds & Ends pieces.  They make it so easy to create little scenes for cards and layouts!  For this card, I started with a step card base.   If you've never done a step card it's easy!  I did a tutorial for a Doodlebug Christmas version here if you need.  Once I had the base cut, I started putting together my little scene...  I used a number of the Odds & Ends pieces and stickers from the Icons sheet to create it.  The trick or treat word bubble is from the This & That Sheet.  It all went together very quickly and it folds flat for mailing!

If you use the Ghost Town Collection for any of your cards, layouts or projects, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook or Instagram so we can see what you created!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

GHOST TOWN BOX CARD | with Kathy

I'm so excited to be kicking off a couple of weeks of Ghost Town inspiration!  Doodlebug Halloween Collections are always some of my favorites!  The little critters and icons are always so stinkin' adorable!  When I saw the little pumpkin patch stand image in the Odds & Ends pack, I knew it would make the cutest little box card.  Take a peek...

The little stand is made from the black side of the Moonlight Magic Cardstock.  The awning was pieced together using the 6x6 versions of the Hoppy Halloween and Treat Yourself papers.  I made the sign using one of the sentiment strips from the Chit Chat Pieces.

Of course I HAD to add one of the cute little Spider Celebration Shaped Sprinkles.  The spider web is from the Icon Sticker Sheet.

I then went to work adding the sweet little Odds & Ends! The pumpkins are just adorable and of COURSE I had to add the little black kitty!!

I had a hard time narrowing down my choice of Odds & Ends!  Be sure keep checking the blog for all new Ghost Town inspiration!  And if you've used Ghost Town in any of your projects, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram so we can see!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY 2019 | Easel Card with FREE Cut File Download!

Do you love to create cards that have fun folds,
stand up on their own and also use
adorable cut-outs from svg files?
Then this card is just for you!
Now that it's October, that means cool weather, cider and pumpkin carving!  I don't have any littlies at home anymore, but I still love to carve pumpkins.  Pumpkin guts aside, it's a fun activity!  My goal is to carve a pumpkin that is as cute as the little jack-o-lanterns on the Candy Carnival Icons Sticker Sheet... we will see how that goes this year! For now, I used cute little pumpkins to make an easel card for Halloween... take a peek...

I created a Silhouette Cut file for the base of this card, (you can download the file I created here) and pieced it together using some Petite prints and the Plaid side of the Prize Wheel paper. I just love the colors in the plaid!!!  I made a little pumpkin patch scene using stickers from the Icons Sheet and added a little spider web and spider at the top of the card.  The sentiment is from the Candy Carnival Chit Chat pieces.  The card actually folds flat to send along to a friend!  If you make any projects using Candy Carnival, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook & Instagram.  We love to see what you create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.
