Pumpkin Party Wreath | with Tya

Have you finished your Halloween decorations yet? I have got a fun wreath that took no time to whip up to show you today using the adorable Pumpkin Party collection.

I have always loved making these paper strip type of wreaths - especially when the pattern papers I am using are so yummy! To make this wreath I started out with a piece of chipboard that I simply traced around a couple of plates to get an outer and an inner circle. I took some scissors and cut the circles out. To get to the center circle I simply stabbed my scissors through the very center and  then began cutting outwards. Its ok if its not the prettiest, the edges will get covered with paper. :)  I then chose my favorite 12x12 papers and trimmed them into strips that measure 2x12 inches. Notch the ends to make a banner and then begin gluing the strips , overlapping them just a little, along the chipboard circle base. So so easy!

Here are a few close ups of how I decorated the wreath. I used mostly die cut pieces from the Odds and Ends and a few stickers from the Icon sticker sheet and the This and That sticker sheet. I added  a few Halloween Night Star Sprinkles here and  there as well.

How cute is that little spider hanging down from some Bakers Twine? Love him!
I hope I have inspired you to add a fun wreath like this to your Halloween decor! It was so much fun to put together! Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Halloween!

Hello Sunshine Home Decor with Tya Smith

Hi there Doodlebug friends - its Tya here to share with you my Hello Sunshine project. Its been kind of cloudy and gloomy here around my neck of the woods so I though I would cheer up my space with a couple of bright and cheery home decor projects featuring this darling line.
First up is this adorable watering can that I found at my local craft store. It's a perfect container for all the different sizes and shapes of flowers that come in the Spring Flowers craft kit.

I added some glitter sprinkles, some buttons and some flower sprinkle shapes for fun.

And how cute is Mr. Snail here along the bottom?
My next project is just a simple frame that I used some of the adorable pattern papers for the background and banners and the sun and cloud stickers with the happy, smiling faces -they add just the right touch! One of my favorite pieces of this line is the rainbow washi tape - I added a strip along the middle of the page with a scallop border punch cardstock strip as well.

I adore the 4x6 cards that come with this collection. They were perfect for the sentiment that I wanted to frame - I really do love Spring! I added a flower and wheelbarrow sticker to the card as well as some fun sticker letters and a sticker heart. Glitter sprinkle finish the frame off with just the right amount of sparkle :)

Hopefully I have inspired you to use your paper crafting supplies to decorate your home and add a splash of Doodlebug color and happiness to your home! Happy Crafting everyone and thanks for stopping by!
