FARMERS MARKET SHADOWBOX INSERT DECOR PIECE | with Tya

Hello there crafty friends! I'm so excited to share my latest design team project with you all today! I love adding personal touches to my home decor and this project does just that!

I am always looking for fun ways to use the Shadow Box kits in a new and interesting way. I saw this beautiful woodgrain charger plate at my craft store and knew that the circle shape in the middle would be the perfect spot to add the Shadow Box kit!

I also found this beautiful floral pick that matched the Farmers Market collection perfectly so I decided to add a fun tag using some of the elements from the Chit Chat and the Bits and Pieces. I tied some yummy Bon Bon Chunky Twine on the tag to tie in the browns of the collection.

I just love this little sign with the chicken roosting on top! It made for such a cute addition to my tag!

On the right side of the plate, I added a few more die cuts from the ephemera. The beautiful colors on the Sprinkle enamel dots in this collection sure shine through and make a great center for the playful flowers.

The top of the plate needed a little something so this "Harvest Time" banner die cut from the Chit Chat ephemera fit just right!

I mounted the Shadow Box insert on the vellum included in the kit. I then backed it on some green textured cardstock and then the super cute plaid side of the "Farm Fresh" pattern paper. I added more of the chunky twine around the edge of the circle to add interest and again tie in the luscious browns in the collection.

I had so much fun making this home decor piece that is going to look great with all my other fall-themed decor! I hope I have inspired you today to use our Shadow Box kits outside the box! lol! Charger plates are great spots for these types of projects! Thank you for stopping by and we will see you all next time!

DOGGONE CUTE GUEST DESIGNER YUYU CAMPOY

I have a little son of 7 years old and for this project I was inspired by him because he loves dogs!   I thought to make something for his room, where he could hang his backpack or his coat among other things.  I decided to make this coat rack.  I painted the rack and created a fun 3D scenario.  The cute dog is running through the city where there are different stores and, cars with dogs.  I used Chit Chat pieces as well as puffy icons stickers.

For each post on the hanger I was inspired by the paw prints and bones from the Odds & Ends pack.

I created Styrofoam backings to all the elements of the Odds & Ends which make them look more dimensional and bring out the cute designs even more.

I love that with every Doodlebug collection you can make amazing projects like this one which is a functional item for the home. I say goodbye for today but I hope to be back soon with more cute projects for my favorite brand Doodlebug!

MY HAPPY PLACE SHADOWBOX | with Miguel

Shadowboxes can be made in many different shapes and materials. The possibilities are endless! Today I have one I made with the My Happy Place Collection and my scoring board.

I used some Odds & Ends to decorate the interior and create a nice landscape with a beautiful home. To give dimension, I added doodle pops to create that 3D effect.

I added more dimension with this curved fence... it looks so cute with the little bird!

I embellished more by adding a button in the center of our radiant sun and a Chit Chat Banner.

I say goodbye,  and hope you never stop creating!

MY HAPPY PLACE SHADOWBOX INSERT KIT | with Wanda

Hi Doodle-friends! Wanda here today to share a fun Shadow Box project with you! Aren't you loving all the projects made with My Happy Place Collection? I love this collection so much - it really speaks to me with the colors and themes. Today I put together the My Happy Place Shadow Box Insert and created a piece for the table in my entry way! If you haven't made one of the Shadow Box Kits yet, I encourage you to make one! They are so much fun to make.

I swapped out my Cute and Crafty insert for the My Happy Place insert! Pinks and greens and aqua....with themes of home and heart.

In your shadow box kit you get everything you need to put this together! All you need to do is pick out your frame! You get the gems and stickers and Sprinkles.... I decided to add some tiny heart Sprinkles as well. Love!

I added a sticker from the 12x12 My Happy Place sticker sheet. I already had made the flowers for my prior insert!! It makes it so fun and pretty.

I used the pistachio and white polka dot paper from the My Happy Place coordinating Petite Prints to back my insert. Looks great with just a touch of a print behind the vellum.

That's it for today's project! I will be seeing you soon! I can't wait to create with the upcoming Seaside Summer Collection! Stay crafty!

GREAT OUTDOORS FALL WALL HANGING | with Wanda

Hi Doodlebug Friends! Happy Thanksgiving Week! I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday together! Today I'm sharing a Fall themed project made with the awesome Great Outdoors Collection! Fall is my favorite season and I try to make it last as long as possible. We decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. Until then, it's Fall at my house! Today's project is a wall hanging I made as a décor piece for the house. I modeled it after a 12x12 Scrapbook page and it would make a great scrapbook page too! Just add a few photos!

I started the project by gluing a sheet of yellow buffalo check paper to a piece of chipboard. I used the Great Outdoors 6x6 paper pad to punch out a bunch of 2" circles. I adore all the fall colors and patterns in this paper pad. The circles were hand folded into the shapes for the finished project. I used a cardstock square to fold the circles up.

Once the circles were all folded, I centered them onto the middle of the large paper and glued them down using clear liquid glue. After all the circles were attached I splashed on some white paint for visual interest. My focal point is that adorable little squirrel! I die cut a white piece of cardstock and then used the Bon Bon Abigail Stickers to write Happy Fall. A few leaves add more accents. I also used a few Bon Bon mini doilies.

I attached pretty Doodlebug Buttons and hears and other embellishments to some of the circles. I really like that pop of teal blue with all those warm colors.

My work in progress! Circles punched out and folded - so easy - but such an impact visually.

LAND THAT I LOVE PATRIOTIC DÉCOR | with Wanda

Hey Doodlebug Friends! It's almost 4th of July, and time to decorate for your festivities! I love a good patriotic craft project and I'm here today to share what I made for this year's party - using the awesome Land That I love Paper Collection! Red, White and Blue never ever goes out of style. This project will translate to any party theme by changing which paper collection you use. These festive papers are so bright, and I adore the embellishments that come in this collection - especially that little eagle with the Uncle Sam hat!

These are called fans, rosettes, or medallions and they're super easy to make. I used a die to make mine but it's very easy to make with some simple tools - a paper cutter and a Scoring Board! I made five rosettes and the a garland to match.

10

For this rosette, I layered two rosettes! I glued them together with liquid glue and then embellished them with cardstock stickers and Doodle Pops. The Land That I Love stickers are perfect for this project! If you're doing these by hand start by cutting a 12x12 piece of paper into 4 6x6 squares. Use your Scoring Board and score and fold each square back and forth accordian style at 1/2 inch intervals. Once your smaller fans are folded, glue then together. I used eight pieces, or two 12x 12 papers for each one. To make them larger or smaller, simply cut off part of the pieces before gluing them together!

10

It's easy to be festive! Just decorate with your garland and rosettes, get some festive straws and plates at the craft store....and start celebrating!

10

Here is a close up of those gorgeous Land That I Love papers!

10

I used stickers and Odds & Ends to decorate the centers of the rosettes.

10

10

To make the garland, I used Doodlebug Chunky twine and glued the paper pieces from the Odds & Ends pack onto the twine. I added some mini jewels into the center of all of them for a bit of sparkle.

10

That's it for today! I am wishing you a happy 4th of July and a fun Summer season! See you back here real soon!

FAIRY GARDEN HANGING SHAKERS | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I'm sharing a fun shaker décor idea using the Fairy Garden collection!

I started by die cutting some frames from the 6x6 paper pad. I backed them with acetate and added a layer of foam tape and sequins. I used lot of colorful floral sequins to go with the collection.

I turned these into hanging décor frames by adhering some color coordinated twine to the back of the frames. I thought the dimensional doodle-pops would be perfect for these frames so they can also be on display! I added the bee and flower pot to one and a couple mushrooms from different packs to the other.

These add a little colorful pop to a craft room! Happy crafting!

SPECIAL DELIVERY HOME DECOR | with Shellye

Welcoming a little one to the world? Today I'm sharing a "Special Delivery" sign that can be hung on mom's hospital door and then in baby's room!

For this particular sign, I used a 12X15 pre-made wooden palette sign; you could also use a heavy sheet of chipboard or a solid wood piece.

Because the slats on the palette were horizontal, I cut strips of paper in the same fashion.  I trimmed each strip slightly smaller than each slat so that some of the wood would show through.

From The Dollar Tree I found this mini chalkboard that measures 6X7.5".  After adding pom trim around the backside of the board, I adhered it to the center of the palette using foam adhesive tape.

I used borders strips from the collection's sticker sheet and Skinny alphabet stickers to add the information to the board.

To the top of the chalkboard I attached a bow and a small cluster of die-cuts and Doodle Pops!

I pulled several different animal die-cuts and created a little parade at the bottom!  Next, I layered on the smaller star and heart die-cuts, stickers and Doodle Pop pieces with foam adhesive.

I finished the sign off with a few Sprinkles and a button for the middle of the bow!
I hope you enjoyed this idea for putting together a quick welcome sign and will give it a try if needed :)
