Tag Tree Advent Calendar by Monique

by Monique Liedtke

For today I want to share an Home for the Holidays Advent Calendar I made for my kids and oh my this was so much fun to do! Although two of my kids are way in their teens (14 and 16) they love it just as much as my 8 year old!

So, here it is, what do you think?

And you won't believe how quick and easy this was to create!

I started with 24 kraft tags. I cut them out of one 12x12 kraft sheet with my Silhouette Cameo, but of course you can use any tag you want . Mine measure approx. 3" x 1.5".

Then I cut 24 rounded rectangles. I used 4 sheets from the 6x6 paper pack and because the sheets are double sided, this gave me 8 different designs.

I adhered the rectangles on the tags:

And started embellishing:

The last step was adding little notes & wishes to the back of the cards, twine and a ribbon and I was done!

Examples of the messages I wrote on the back of the cards are: "Your present is hidden in the living room, start looking!", "Today dad will give you $2.-" (well "euros" in my case), "Jippie's (the dog) turn today" .... The possibilities are endless!

I found the wooden frame at a local garden centre. Isn't it just perfect for this cause?

Supplies: Doodlebug Home for the Holidays collection.

If you're making a Doodlebug Advent Calendar too this year then don't forget to share it on Doodlebug's facebook page! We would love to see it!

Snowflakes Falling Shadow Box

I absolutely loved using the Shadow Box to create some Christmas Decor! I love the two little reindeers, and knew they would be the focal point of my project! By added some snowflakes on white cardstock it creates a subtle snowy background. I added snowflakes around the frame for some extra snowflake fun.
