NSD 2019 | Hap-Pea Birthday Box Card with Kathy

Who's having a lovely National Scrapbooking Day?  Glad you have been joining in on our fun today!  I was lucky enough to find some time to play... so I pulled out my Doodlebug stash and my Silhouette and got to work!  As soon as I saw the adorable little vegetables in the Hoppy Easter Cut Files Collection, I knew I had to create a card for my gardening friend!  I saw the pea file, and my mind started churning... I decided to make a 3D box card with it!  Take a peek...
I started with the Hoppy Easter Peas File to make the pea pod box shape and the Hap-pea Birthday sign.  I added faces to the peas (I used the faces from the Simply Spring Bees file)  It needed one more thing so I decided to add little birthday hats to the peas.  I made the hats using the Sweet Party Hats File from the Fairy Tales collection.   The card folds flat for mailing.  I know my friend will love it!  Are you using any Doodlebug Cut Files or Collections for a project today?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on social media, we'd love to see your creations!

HOPPY EASTER | Layout with Tegan

What do you get when you pair the Doodlebug Design Hoppy Easter Basket of Flowers cut file with the Hoppy Easter and Simply Spring collections? A basketful of cuteness - that's what! The cut file and these collections were perfect for helping me document the yearly yard full of Easter eggs my mother-in-law puts out for us to find on Easter morning!
Don't let the number of cuts of this design overwhelm you. The Doodlebug Design cut files have all of the different sections colored in, which makes it super easy to keep the pieces organized. I simply grouped all of the parts together by color and then cut out each color group. Assembling and then 'filling' the basket was so much fun!
I used the Petite Prints Stripe patterned paper in Bon Bon on the basket to give it a faux wood look. I used Doodlebug cardstock and patterned papers from the Hoppy Easter collection for my flowers. I used Doodlebug Design cardstock and the Petite Prints Floral paper in Bumblee on the bow. Sprinkles add even more cuteness! Once my basket was complete, I added the adorable bunny, carrot, and radish Odds & Ends pieces. How cute is that little bunny sitting in the basket?!
I finished off the layout with the rainbow wheel This & That sticker, more Odds & Ends pieces, and a couple Icon Stickers. I can't get over how cute that little bunny hopping through the grass is!
Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to use a large cut file with the Hoppy Easter collection on your next layout!

HOPPY EASTER| Layout with Jana

For my page today, I used the Hoppy Easter Collection, along with a pair of cut files to create the page below! Jana Eubank Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Pancakes 1 900 This sweet bunny hugging his carrot is so adorable! I used the Petite Print Rainbow 6x6 Paper Pads on the colored portions of the design. I then layered several of the Odds & Ends grass die cuts together to give him a place to sit. How cute are the Jellies Sprinkles hidden here-and-there?! The clouds were created with vellum and white cardstock using a Simply Spring Cloud cut file. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Pancakes 2 900 On the right side of the page are a pair of chicks from the Odds & Ends pack. I added pink chalked cheeks to each one, just like the paper pieced bunny. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Pancakes 3 900 I placed the title at the bottom of the page below the journaling. I used the "Easter" word sticker from the Icons Sticker Sheet along with layered Swimming Pool and Lily White Abigail Letter Stickers. The left side of the title is accented with the too-cute-for-words Flower Basket Doodle-pop Sticker. Jana Eubank Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Pancakes 4 900 Creating the die cut bunny and clouds for this page was so much fun! Have you given the Doodlebug Cut Files a spin lately? Jana Eubank Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Pancakes 5 900 Thanks for stopping by!

HOPPY EASTER | Easter Basket Mini Album with Traci

"Hippity hoppity Easter's on it's way"! I think that's how the song goes, right? The adorable bunnies from the Hoppy Easter collection have hopped right onto the cover of my newest mini album!
For this album, I used Doodlebug's Easter egg basket cutting file. I enlarged the file and then made an offset around the basket. I used this shape to cut the covers and pages.
This little mini is going to be for photos of my granddaughter's Easter egg hunt, so I used the Hoppy Easter stamp set and doodle dies to create a cute little sign for the first page.
The smaller bunny is from the icon sticker sheet. I love to mix and match the smaller stickers with the larger odds and ends.
So much Doodlebug cuteness! That bunny peeping over the photo mat makes me smile!

The scallop "Easter Egg Hunt Champion" sticker is from the This and That sticker sheet and was perfect for the last page of my album. Have you thought about using cutting files to make shaped albums?   Think of the possibilities!  You can see more of my minis over on instagram @artsyalbums.  Thanks everyone!

HOPPY EASTER | Layout with Caroli

In our family everyone loves chocolate, so Easter is one of our favorite holidays. Last year, my little boy was big enough to understand what was happening so for the first time he joined his big sister on the egg hunting!
I love all the patterns in Doodlebug Design collections, they are gorgeous, but some times they might seem too busy to be used as a background... I was determined to use this fabulous patterned paper as background, so I solved the problem by cutting a bit of space using one of the cut files of this collection:
I used the file Easter Bunny #2 to create some space for including my photos and journaling, and of course I used a good amount of embellishments as well from the Odds&Ends and Shape Sprinkles packages. If you're trying this, a good idea is to use the sewing machine (or hand sew) around all the cut shape, this way you make sure the white background is properly adhered to the patterned paper and also it gives a nice effect.

I journaled about the happy memories of these photos and included a big title I cut using my electronic cutting machine and free font Learning Curve.
I am so satisfied about how this layout came out, it displays the gorgeous patterned paper but it does not look overwhelming or too busy. Thank you for stopping by today with us, have a lovely day my Doodlenug friends!
