HELLO DESK ORGANIZER | with Traci

Who doesn't want a pretty desk?  If we have to spend time there to work, pay bills, or even do some crafting, we all want a work space that's functional and inviting.  Today I have a project to share that might help brighten up your workspace a bit.
I discovered this fun box by Graphic 45 in my craft stash and decided to cover it with gorgeous papers from the Hello collection. I wanted something for my desk to hold notepaper, paperclips and sticky notes.  This will be functional and pretty!
For the outside of the box, I used 12x12 paper and a scallop border sticker to decorate around the edge.  For the top, a 3x4 card, odds & ends, and a cute typewriter doodle-pop add color and dimension.
I continued the papers and scallop sticker inside the box.
Finally, I had lots of left over icon stickers from the collection so I added them to some lined note paper, punched holes, and tied up the sheets with ribbon for a fun little notepad that fits perfectly into the box. A colorful pen and some jelly clips finished up my project.
I have links to supplies I used on my website at www.artsyalbums.com.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer, but if you have to be inside at a desk, why not make it colorful and fun? Happy crafting!

SO MUCH PUN! SUPER SWEET LAYOUT | with Tegan

I am having so much fun creating rainbow background designs on my layouts lately! The Doodlebug Designs Petite Prints patterned papers come in so many colors, creating a rainbow effect with them is super easy! I also used the So Much Pun collection because all of the adorable food icons are perfect for documenting the snacks my husband and I enjoyed at the county fair last year!
I started by creating a circular background design in my diecut machine software and then used white cardstock to cut it out. I then used a fun assortment of Dot-Stripe Petite Prints patterned papers to back the white cardstock diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Can you name the 5 Doodlebug colors I used? I started with Citrus, then used Bumblebee, then Ladybug, then Bubblegum, and then finished with Pistachio.
I embellished the top left corner by adding coordinating green embellishments. I used Mini Icon stickers, Odds & Ends die cuts, and word stickers from the 12x12 This & That Sticker Sheet. And isn't that sloth Doodlepop just the cutest?! I love the extra dimension it adds to the page!
I finished the rest of the layout by adding a rainbow of color coordinated embellishments! The Doodlebug embellishments come in a big variety of colors, so finding matching stickers and such was a breeze! Along with the stickers and Odds & Ends pieces, I also added the adorable Jelly Clip cupcake.  And again, how fun is that gumball machine Doodlepop?!?

Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document your next food adventure using the Petite Prints Papers and the So Much Pun collection!

MINI ALBUM USING LEFT OVERS | with Shellye

Using just a few pieces of leftover patterned paper and sheets of heavy card stock, this mini album is so quick and easy to put together!  The assemblage is similar to a child's board book and is also very accommodating  for layered embellishments!

To begin I cut five sheets of 110lb. white card stock to measure:
9.75" X 6.25"
9.5" X 6.25"
9.25" X 6.25"
9" X 6.25"
8.75" X 6.25"
Next, I placed each of the sheets onto a scoring board. Each sheet was scored at 4.25" and then turned 180" and scored again at 4.25".  After folding all of the sheets along the score lines, I started building the pages beginning with the longest sheet first.  I added an extreme double-sided tape between all of the sheet's score lines and began assembling the pages.

For all of the pages I used a 4" X 6" mat of patterned paper  and adhered to the center of the page.  As shown above, I cut a small strip of 1.25" X 6" paper and attached.

Below is a peek at all of the inner-pages that are photo-ready!

I decided to leave a few of the pages blank so that larger photos could be added.
The top of the album was finished off with a trio of Jelly Clips and now it's all ready for gift giving!

Thanks for joining me today!

PLANNING WITH SO MUCH PUN | with Anabelle

It is so much fun revisiting the So Much Pun collection in my Daily Doodle this month. I loved this collection from the moment I saw it and still reach for it when I want something whimsical. My favorite part of this line is the fact that there are so many themes within in. Today, I created two spreads for my Traveler's Notebook. They are each so different, yet all of the items are from So Much Pun! Here is the first spread. I used the candy and sweets elements to design my May calendar. How yummy is this???
I used several of the stickers from the Mini Icons sheet, along with stickers from the This and That sticker sheet. The candy washi is one of my favorites. I love the coordinating papers, too. I used papers from the 6 by 6 pad and added them to the page, as well. The striped paper made a perfect border. I tucked some of the die cuts into my front pockets. They add a really sweet touch to my planner.
My next spread is one that I designed so that I can write notes for work. I have a large teacher planner to do my daily plans, but like to keep my Daily Doodle close by to jot down my to do lists as I think of them.
The grid pages are perfect to do this. As you can see, this spread has a completely different look. I pulled the sweet plants and went with a pink and green theme here. The Teensy Type stickers were a perfect way to add titles to the sections on this spread. I love how the pink border sticker ties it all together.
My planner spreads wouldn't be complete without clips! So Much Pun has the most adorable Doodle Pops to coordinate with the line. The gumball machine is probably my new favorite clip! And since all of Doodlebug's collections coordinate so well, I was able to use this Doodlepop from the Simply Spring collection. It worked perfectly with the sweet plant stickers from So Much Pun. They are so easy to make. I simply hot glue them to a paper clip and add a punched circle to the back. They add so much to the design.
As you can see, I was able to create two very different designs for my Daily Doodles using just the So Much Pun collection. It's versatile! I know I'll be coming back to it again soon.

UN-BEE-LIEVABLY CUTE DAILY DOODLES | with Jomelle

It's a beautiful day so don't worry, BEE Happy! I was inspired by the yellow and blue color combo and the super adorable bee jelly paper clip to create a memory keeping entry in my insert.
I thought it would be more fun to add this open flap element for journaling in my layout.
I must admit, this layout is a little bit out of the norm for me as I usually love to create a "no white space" layout. There is just something about the simplicity of this layout and yet it remains soo cute.
I have been waiting for the perfect layout to finally use my aodrable bee clip from my stash. Aren't the two bee clips so cute together? I also used the sun and cloud paper clip that I created from previous collection. It goes well with this layout.
Thank you for stopping by and have a BEE-autiful day!

SO MUCH PUN MINI ALBUM USING CREATE-A-CARDS | with Shellye

We all have that special person that we make a great combo with!  Today I'm sharing a sweet little mini album using several of the A2 "Create-A-Cards" and the "So Much Pun" Collection.

I turned the cards horizontally, with the openings to the right.  A strip of patterned paper was cut to  9"X3.5" and scored in half.  The paper was then attached to the front card flap ( and repeated for the following card fronts). For the cover: I did leave an opening along the top so that a tag could be included.

I used a binding system and metal comb to hold the pages together.  After embellishing a metal-rimmed tag from my stash, I slipped it onto the comb.

In prepping all of the "card" pages, I attached mats of various patterns before setting out to add the embellishments.

To stretch the remnants of the 6X6 papers, a few of the pages used pieced papers for the mats; the seams were hidden with border stickers or washi tape!

For most of the 2.5"X2.5" cut-out cards, I made them inter-active by scoring an edge and attaching wtih adhesive tape.  This is a great way to allow larger photos while still using larger design components.

A total of 4  of the "A2 Striped Assortment" Cards were used.  After completion, there are a total of 16 pages!  Use the same design concept to create a story flip-book or brag book for kids!

Thank you for joining me today!
