Christmas Town Planner Pages | with Jennie

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!  So, shouldn't the memory keeping and planning reflect that?  I think the answer is for sure, yes!  So that is exactly what I did with the Christmas Town collection in my memory planner.  [My memory planner is a BIG Happy Planner® that I use to add photos and decorations to document our daily activities] I am in love with how it all came together -- it's so cute and has me in the spirit. Let's take a look.

As usual, I added photos then I decorated around them.  I created three distinct clusters in a triangle formation [visual triangle] and had so much fun combining patterned papers from the Christmas Town 6x6 paper pad and the Odds and Ends.  I love the scale of the die cuts in my big Happy Planner®, they work together perfectly.

On this right hand side I loved the Candy Cane Lane paper layered with itself - it's just perfect.  I punched two pieces from that one paper and it turned out so well! So festive, especially with the Santa & his sleigh.

As you can see, the Mini Icon stickers are perfect for highlighting important things!

I include all of the things, including the radar. Because rain was a big deal this week, it even caused school to be closed for two days!

I cannot get enough of the the layering on these pages!  And, the Mini Icon Stickers!  I'm thinking of all of the ways to use them for all of the things to document our everyday.

Are you doing any kind of daily planning or memory keeping?  How are you using the Doodlebug Christmas Town, or other collections, in those projects?  Make sure you share with us, we'd love to see!

Christmas Town Planner Pages | with Jennie

It's almost Christmas and we're all pretty excited. Except, there's stuff to do, am I right? There are gifts to buy, there are lists to make and there are cookies to bake. So, how do we keep track of that? This year, I've started a brand new hardbound notebook to keep track of all that is going on and everything I need to keep track of this season! Obviously, I needed the help of Doodlebug's Christmas Town collection! It's so cute and motivates me all season long.

One of the things I need to track is the stocking stuffers!  They seem simple but they multiply if you're not careful. So, a page devoted to them is easy - especially with Abigail Alphabet Stickers and washi tape.
Now, gifts?  I usually use a few pages to jot down ideas.  I've got those.  But, once I've finalized the ideas - I need to have a page to add those gifts and who they come from.  The easiest way for me is to do so with a blank page but I like to add a little bit of decoration, too.  So, I did the same thing as I did before with the Abigail Alphabets and the washi tape.  Simple yet oh so festive!

This notebook, heavy on both cute and function, is going to keep me going all month long.  It'll make the season even more festive thanks to the organization and wonderful Christmas Town collection!

Christmas Town Planner Pages | with Jennie

It's not Christmas yet, but it will be soon! I want to do something cute in my travelers notebook because it makes me so happy and helps me stay organized! I love the Christmas Town collection - it's perfect for all of my December Travelers Notebook pages!

I'm really enjoying planning my special days in a travelers notebook.  I can decorate and I can also keep track of activities and to-do lists.  Using the Chit Chat is so easy on these pages -- they really make the perfect accents!

I love using both the Chit Chat and the Odds & Ends in combination with patterned paper!  They are all just perfectly coordinated and I really love the kraft colored backgrounds included with this collection.  It just feels so perfect.

The Sprinkles; are the best embellishments in a planner -- their size is just amazing!  But I'm really loving them as bullet points!  They truly help me keep track of lists and other important things I need to remember.

I plan on keeping up this special insert all through the year.  It's such a cute and fun way to keep track of the days and events I have going on!

Christmas Town Planner Pages | with Jennie

I love Christmas!  I am sure most people feel this way, too. However, one of the things I love about the holiday [in addition to friends, family, festivities, etc.] is papercrafting, memory keeping and planning!  I get to use the festive papers, die cuts and stickers to document all the things going on and it's SO inspiring. I just love it! To start my December off right, I've decorated the monthly view in my travellers notebook insert and I'm hooked.  The Doodlebug Christmas Town collection is just perfect for the holiday AND my travellers notebook!  Let's not talk - let's take a look!

The traditional colors and icons are made even better with a fun twist, that is where Doodlebug SHINES.  I kept this page fairly simple because it's going to be the overview for the month and I didn't want to over do it.  I wanted to be able to keep track of all the goings on -- and not be too distracted.  [I'm not sure it's possible with all of this CUTE!]
I did add a little bit of decor, and I think it's the perfect balance with the Teensy Type stickers -- which keep me organized and straight on what day is which. [And, don't they look cute?!] Theres a lot of to love and I cannot wait for December to get here!

Pumpkin Party Daily Doodles | with Jennie

Hello! I tried something new to me recently and I couldn't wait to share with you.  [And, I am really thinking I'm going to try this idea again!] I decided to try planning one day on one page in a travelers notebook.  What's better to do that with some Doodlebug Designs Pumpkin Party?  I wasn't sure how it would go but that didn't mean I wouldn't try it out.  Spoiler alert: I love it!

I was able to combine functional [places to be & to do lists!] and decorative and it brings me joy! These Pumpkin Party goodies were able to help me create a to do list!
DB1
These So Corny Sprinkles helped me create a list and I will for sure be flipping to my pages and I'll be the most efficient ever thanks to those and the beautiful patterned papers, too!

How amazing is that Black Cats washi?  Oh my!  I love it and I love the contrast between it and the Abigail Alphabet stickers -- it just looks so Halloween! How could it not with the Odds and Ends?! They are the perfect accent to the page.

Have you ever tried to plan on one page?  I don't know that it will become my main planner but I will FOR SURE be doing this again.  Without a doubt. If you have, are you adding decorative elements?  What are your favorites to use for that?

Pumpkin Party Daily Doodles | with Jennie

It's that oh so fun time of year when we can really get excited for decorating! We can break out the ghoulish pumpkins and macabre skeletons.  It's time for Halloween.  As luck would have it, we can start preparing our planners, too! So, I decided to use my new Doodlebug Travelers Notebook + inserts for my planning!  They are just perfect and this seemed like the best time to start using them!
Jennie McGarvey Doodlebug Designs Travelers Notebook Halloween
Talk about cute, am I right? I am positively in love with the Buffalo Check Daily Doodles Travel Notebook -- it's perfect for all year long. But, right now, I love how it goes with the Doodlebug Pumpkin Party collection.
Jennie McGarvey Doodlebug Designs Monthly View Travelers Notebook Halloween
The monthly view is at the beginning of the insert so I wanted to make sure I got this month off to the right start.  I wanted a solid base, so that is where both the Doodlebug Petite Prints collection, the Teensy Type Alphabet Stickers and the Abigail Alphabet Stickers come in. They provide the base for all of the Pumpkin Party accents I wanted to use.

Just like this!  Don't you love how I was able to combine a bit of the 12x12 cardstock stickers, the Icon Stickers and the So Corny Sprinkles.  I think it's just the cutest little accent to my ordinary plans.

Where to look first?!  The Icon stickers are the perfect size -- don't you love the ghost? And there were so many of the Pumpkin Party Chit Chat pieces I wanted to use it was tough to limit myself to just one! Because of that, I had to make sure to dress it up with the Silly Spiders Sprinkles - aren't they just perfect together?
I cannot wait to show you how I've set up my entire travelers notebook full of all things fun and not at all spooky for Halloween!

Petite Prints Planner Spread | with Jennie

If you asked me to pick a favorite part of this planner layout, I don't know what' I would choose! I mean, I LOVE rainbows, that is one of the reasons Doodlebug Designs is perfect for me!  But then you add in the Floral and Graph 6x6 Petite Prints pad?  OBSESSED!

Now you know what is just plain FUN on a planner layout?  Keeping you motivated throughout the week?  The So Much Pun Icon stickers.  They are thick and high quality and I was super excited to use the dinosaurs.  It's a little unconventional, but they come in a rainbow and are adorable!

Now, there were quite a few things I wanted to highlight this week - so I wanted to use the Skinny Alphabet stickers. I just LOVE them.  They are a great size to really stand out.  And, they match the rainbow of papers and dinos!

A little bit of washi is a must on a planner layout, don't you think?  So I added a couple of different types of Doodlebug Washi -- both in rainbow designs. Isn't the Fairy Tales washi just the cutest?

You can be sure I will be using the Doodlebug Designs Petite Prints more and more in my pages -- it's the perfect layering piece in my planner, would't you say?

So Much Pun Planner Pages | with Jennie

I've been keeping up with my documenting in my travellers notebook inserts and it just feels so fun.  I'm inspired to keep up with them and I think a large part of it is the scale of the project.  I can create something so manageable - yet everything goes together.  It's really so perfect for my life right now.
So, I'm working on an insert that is just favorites.  Photos, moments, stories, whatever!  There are absolutely no rules.  So, I pulled out a couple of photos so I could create a couple of pages and I am in love!

I was so excited when I could combine both an adorable photo + moment with that great little frog!  How cute is he?  The entire So Much Pun collection is just a joy to work with -- I mean, the colors!  The images.  The whole thing is just PUN.  Whoops!  Fun! But, as always, the Odds & Ends are the perfect embellishment!
I'm also pretty excited about the Doodlebug Sequins, too.  I love the colors and the simplicity.  They are such a cute addition to any page -- just a tiny bit of glue and you are set.
I couldn't stop there, though.  My son also loves cheeseburgers.  So, the cheeseburger icons in this collection were just calling to me to use!

Isn't the 6x6 patterned paper pad just perfect?  I think so!  I love it for use in my travelers notebook -- the size is perfect and so is the scale of the patterns.  Just so good in my planners, too!
But you knew I had to use the Perfect Combo Sprinkles.  Look at them!  I'm just so smitten with each little piece and the ketchup & mustard was perfect here!
Do you see what I did there with the Sprinkles?  Ketchup, mustard and pickles!  I crack myself up!
Do you love this collection too?  Follow along with Doodlebug on Instagram so you can see how everyone is using this playful collection!

Traveller's Notebook Mini Album | with Jennie

I decided to do a mini album about...MYSELF this year.  It feels a bit strange, but I knew it was something I wanted to do.  I also REALLY wanted to put it in a travellers notebook insert.  I love working with them and love the thick pages which make it great for embellishing.
IMG_2132-1
I love the Hello Collection.  But for this project all about me is perfect!  So many different icons and images that tell the stories - I love it!  Just like this page about my homes -- loved the Odds & Ends house, it was so perfect here, don't you think?
IMG_2133
Now, I didn't stop with that page.  I added a page about flowers and obviously he Hello Collection was perfect for that, TOO!
IMG_2131
Now, obviously I am super excited about the floral paper and the Odds & ends, but the Garden Party washi and the Doodle Pops were the perfect embellishments for a page about flowers!

Using the Hello Collection has been amazing for my planners -- both Happy Planner and travelers notebook!  I just love it.

Summer Planner Pages | with Jennie

I love summer!  I especially love decorating for summer in my planner.  And, the most satisfying thing is to use my favorite collection, Doodlebug Design's Sweet Summer in a decorative fashion!

Now, when I mention decorative -- yes this layout is decorative.  However, I did decide I would also keep track of my sons baseball tournaments in addition to the cute decor. This was super simple, especially with the Doodlebug Abigail and Teensy Type Alphas.  I could note the names of the tournaments and they look so cute and perfect with the decor.

The washi is also a fantastic accent!  Helps document a road trip my family is planning on taking!

Speaking of road trips -- how cute is the convertible Icon Sticker to kick it all off?  I just love it -- makes the whole thing so much more whimsical and fun.
Using the Doodlebug Designs Sweet Summer collection in my monthly view of my planner was absolutely perfect - I love the way I can keep the pages both FUN and functional.
