FARMHOUSE HOMESPUN CARDS | with Tya

Step into the charm of country living with my latest handmade cards! Using the adorable Farmhouse collection and the coordinating Cards and Envelopes Kit, I've created six unique cards that capture all the warmth and whimsy of this delightful new collection!

Let's look at each of the cards! This first card is a burst of autumn charm, featuring bright pops of color that Doodlebug is famous for! The centerpiece is the sweet fruit stand from the Odds and Ends, brimming with seasonal delights! The little fox watches over the stand adding more whimsy The card comes to life with dimensional details like the pumpkin and flowers from the Puffy Stickers.

My next card is a delightful nod to country kitchen charm.  The star of the design is the adorable buffalo check apron, from the Odds and Ends, It adds a cozy, homespun vibe. I paired it with the "I only have Pies for You" sentiment from the Chit Chat pack.  Such a sweet card!

My third card is a heartfelt tribute to country living, featuring the irresistible black and white cow from the Odds and Ends die cuts. It's perfect for any cow lover like me out there! The little cow is complimented by a lovely tag showcasing a farm windmill and charming milk can overflowing with vibrant flowers! The "thankful for you" sentiment along the bottom adds a meaningful touch.

My next card is a cheerful birthday card. It is a celebration of color and joy, perfect for making someone's special day even brighter! The standout features on this card are the vibrant pattern papers from the collection - I especially love the Country Quilt plaid paper on the base of the card! The adorable bees from the Busy Bees Doodle Pop steal the show, bringing a delightful buzz of whimsy to the card. A few Puffy Stickers add texture and detail, while the beautiful "Happy Birthday" banner from the Chit Chat set ties everything together.

This next card is a charming snapshot of farm life, brought to life with a delightful scene made from the Odds and Ends ephemera. This design evokes the feeling of a bright, happy day on the farm! The "Hay There" sentiment on the top perfectly complements the farmhouse vibe, adding a playful and welcoming touch. It's a sweet card, full of country charm!

For my final card, I used the slim-shaped card from the Cards and Envelopes kit.  At its heart is the adorable farm truck filled to the brim with cute pumpkins, stealing the spotlight in the design. No farm is complete without some feathered friends, so the cheerful chickens from the Icon Sticker sheet join the scene. The heartfelt "Life is better on the Farm" sentiment couldn't be more fitting, making this card an ode to country living!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope these projects have sparked your creativity and inspired you to pick up the Farmhouse collection to craft your own sweet and homespun cards. There's nothing quite like sharing a bit of farmhouse charm with the special people in your life, so let's keep spreading those warm, country vibes one handmade card at a time! Happy Crafting!

DOODLEBUG SHAKERS - GIANT SHAKER POPS | with Kathy

Happy April! I'm excited to be kicking off a couple of weeks of Shakers Inspiration! I just love the new shakers... they are so fun, and come in all of Doodlebug's fabulous colors and some different shapes!  I had so many ideas on how to use them, it was hard to narrow it down!  I finally decided, that I should make some giant Shaker Pops... just like the Shaker-Pops that come with all of the collections, just bigger! Because... well who doesn't love a Shaker Pop???  Take a peek...

I added my giant Shaker Pops to the fronts of some A2 Cards... and I just love them!  They really were easy to make.  I started with some Doodlebug SVG files (linked at the bottom of the post).  I put them together using some Doodlebug papers, Heavy Weight Acetate, Shakers and some chipboard.  I've outlined the general steps below.

First, I looked for files that had a "shape" to fill.  I cut those shapes from a thinner chipboard using my Silhouette Cameo.  For each shaker, I cut 6 pieces of the chipboard.  This gave the shaker enough "height" to fit the shakers.  I also cut a solid of each shape from our Heavy Weight Acetate.

Next I stacked the chipboard pieces and glued them all together.  As an added step (not necessary, but it adds a nice finishing touch) I cut a thin strip of paper (just slightly smaller than 1/8 inch) and covered the edges of my shaker.  You could also paint the edges.

I cut the other pieces of my chosen cut files and glued my chipboard "frame" to the base of the cut file.

I added my shakers, and then added a top piece of the cut file which was layered on top of the  acetate and glued.

I like to make the shakers in their entirety before adding to a project, it gives them a bit more stability. Here are my three giant Shaker Pops!

And here are the individual cards...

For my first card I started with the Lots of Love Bubble Tea SVG.  I used the outline of the cup for my "frame"  I pieced the shaker together using some different Petite Prints and filled it with beetle black Shakers.  The card base and sentiment are from the Lots of Love collection.

My second card is based on the Pretty Kitty- Curious Kitty SVG.  I used the fish bowl as my frame for the shaker.  The kitty was pieced together using petite prints and the card with papers from the Pretty Kitty Collection.  The Hello and little fish are from the Seaside Summer Collection.  I filled the fish bowl with some Lily White Shakers.

For my last card, I have a baby shower coming up soon and thought it would be fun to make a little card.  I started with the Special Delivery Bottle SVG.  I pieced it together using some petite prints and filled it with lily white shakers.  The card base is a combination of petite prints and Special Delivery papers.

These really were so fun to make!  Be sure to check in often over the next couple of weeks for more Shaker inspiration.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

SNOW MUCH FUN BIRTHDAY & THANK YOU CARDS | with Karen

It has been absolutely freezing up here in Calgary - you know, the kind of cold that makes you wonder why you don't live somewhere else. But the good news is that this weather is the perfect crafting weather! Absolutely no guilt that I am sitting at the table crafting instead of being out and about.

  All-three-1

And with Christmas behind us, it's a great time to top up my card stash. I have always loved making seasonal birthday and thank-you cards, so the weather, together with Doodlebug's new Snow Much Fun collection, are the perfect combination for the task.

  Odds-and-Ends

These cards utilize the coordinating Cards & Envelopes together with some patterned paper from the 6x6 patterned paper pack for the bases. I did a bunch of layering of die cut pieces from both the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends packs to create each of the little scenes, using foam adhesive on some to add some pop.

  Sprinkles

Um, can we just take a minute to admire how beautiful that snowflake paper is?!!! Okay, moving on...To finish off, I added some Sprinkles for some more texture and I was all finished.

  All-three-2

I love how this set turned out! I have a feeling they will not last long in the card stash...in fact, one already found a new home for a January birthday in our family. So, if it is cold where you are, take it as a sign that the universe is giving you permission to craft! Not that we needed permission... :) Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

SNOW MUCH FUN BOX CARDS | with Kathy

I always love Doodlebug's winter collections, and Snow Much Fun does not disappoint!  The colors, the critters, and of course... the yeti, all of it is adorable!  And when I saw the coordinating Snow Cute Doodle Cuts, I knew I had to make some fun cards.  Take a peek....

When I saw the "it was love at frost sight" chit chat piece, I thought it would make a cute Valentine's sentiment.  I created 2 bears using the Snow Cute Doodle Cuts and put them in a snowy scene, along with the cute little birdie from the set.

I created a floating heart using a strip of acetate and one of the I Love Snow Shaped Sprinkles.  A fun tip when using the Doodle Cuts... if you want a "mirrored" image like my second bear, all you have to do is cut the bear pieces from the "wrong side" of your paper.

I finished the card with some Puffy Icon Snowflakes and some more Sprinkle hearts.  The bow on the bear's ear is from the Christmas Cocoa Doodle Cuts.

For my next card, I decided I wanted to use all of the other adorable critters in the Snow Cute  Doodle Cuts Set.  I looked through the Chit Chat pieces and found the "hello there" banner and thought it would be fun to create a just because card.

I created another fun snow scene, this time with some water for the adorable seal.  I cut all of the critters from the Snow Much Fun Coordinating Textured Cardstock pack.  I love Doodlebug cardstock, not only does it cut like a dream, but the colors coordinate perfectly with the collections!  I'm not sure which critter is my favorite, but it just might be that waving yeti!  How about you??  What is your favorite?

I can already tell that I'm going to be using these dies again and again! Be sure to stop by all this month for more Snow Much Fun inspiration from the Design Team.  And if you create any projects using the collection, be sure to tag Doodlebug on socials, we love to see your work!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

HELLO AGAIN GIFT SET | with Tya

It has been so fun to get to be designing for Doodlebug again after my little hiatus. One of the things I love most is creating gift sets that I can use when I need them using my Doodlebug products and my trusty Silhouette Cameo! A match made in heaven for sure! I have a fun bag and a cute fun-fold card to share with you today all made using the amazing 'Hello Again" collection!

Let's look at each of the pieces up close! This adorable bag caught my eye because I had an identical one back in the day! You know the kind- made of plastic - just like my awesome jelly shoes! I knew it would be such a fun design to use to hold fun little gifts for someone special. The bag is cut out using a piece of the Bubblegum Textured cardstock found in the Hello Again Textured Cardstock pack. I used the Perforated Bag cut file from the Silhouette Store and cut it on my Silhouette.

I added the "For You" tag from the "Just Because" tag paper. I tied it to the back with some Beetle Black Chunky Twine. I also added a few butterflies from the "All Aflutter" Shape Sprinkles to the tag for some shine with the beautiful gold foil on the butterflies.

This fun card was also cut out on my Silhouette. I am such a huge fan of fun fold cards and I fell in love with this fun one. It is the French Door Easel Card Birthday Balloons cut file. I made the card base out of the Beetle Black Textured cardstock. I then added a few pieces cut out from the fun "Forever Flowers "paper. I omitted the birthday balloons on the cut file, and instead, added the "Thinking of You" cut-apart cards from the "Hello Again" paper.

I then layered the card up with the "Butterfly Bouquet" Doodle Pop. This was such a great dimensional element to my card front that really makes a statement!

The inside of the card needed some decorating, so I added a small strip of the "Forever Flowers" paper and added the "Love You" circle die cut from the Chit Chat, along with the small yellow flower that was on the Doodle Pop.

I had so much fun creating this little gift set! I hope I have inspired you to make one of these to give to your special someone in your life! The 'Hello Again" collection has so many fun products that take your gift-giving packaging that little something extra that says just how much they mean to you! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy Crafting Friends!

HELLO AGAIN FLORAL CARDS | with Karen

Summer is full of beautiful flowers, and I am not talking about the ones that are our in our gardens! I am talking about the ones you can find in the new Hello Again collection from Doodlebug. If you love florals as much as I do, this collection is needs to find it's way to your crafty space. And if not, I have a feeling you will be jumping on the floral train soon!

For my first project, I decided to feature the floral die cuts that you can find in the Bits and Pieces pack as part of this collection. I love these packs because you don't have to have fancy cutting machines to make beautiful crafts. I also love these packs when I craft with kids because there is no fussy cutting. Everything is cut, there are a variety of shapes and sizes to work from, and all the pieces layer and coordinate perfectly! It really makes card making a breeze!

In this particular collection, there are some fun paper tags in the Bits and Pieces pack too. I layered some of the florals on top of those pieces with some foam adhesive for some dimension and interested. And what makes for an even more beautiful layer? A doily, of course. I have loved Doodlebug doilies for crating since I found the company and I am so glad to see them featured in this collection again. They come in all the amazing Doodlebug colours and in two different sizes.

Finally, one of reason this collection packs a punch is because of the gold foil accents. You will find the foil on different elements throughout this collection and it really does add a little "something". My favourite are the Gold Sprinkles - the shine on these is amazing. I wanted to use the whole pack on these cards!

While I do love my garden this time of year, I also love that I can have a craft garden in my craft space too! I know you will love this collection as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

HELLO AGAIN ODDS & ENDS CARDS | with Niella

Hello Again crafty crew! Thanks for popping in today - come see what I've created this time around! Greeting cards with the adorable Hello Again collection! This is such a versatile and fun project with all year round accents like books, butterflies, cups of tea + coffee, plants and home décor to name a few! Wow so many icons to play with and there is gold foiling too if that isn't enough.

I've been bursting at the seams to use the sweet furniture Odds & Ends pieces, I created this card to really showcase how much difference you get by strategically popping the die cuts on foam tape and off setting both the drawers and the shelf with each other and then adding the stacked books icon sticker in between and that gives an illusion of a home setting! The plant icon stickers add another visual look and I've finished the look with a speech bubble and enamel dots sprinkles. Super neat!

The base of my greeting cards is textured white cardstock and the sizes are 5.5 x 4" and
4 x 3", but you can use any size you'd like! I'm not going to slip these cards into envelopes; way too pretty for that, I'll just slip them between the ribbon/doodle-twine of my gifts!

To keep the focus on the Odds & Ends and stickers, I've backed a white cardstock piece onto patterned paper from the 6 x 6" paper pad, machine stitched around the edge and then mounted them onto foam sheets and adhered onto my card base. The simple machine stitch just adds that extra detail + texture.

How adorable are these butterflies! Each is glued down the middle so the wings can be popped up so they are "flying" and that chit chat ephemera HELLO speech bubble is simple and to the point :-) That rainbow butterfly has my heart!

I had fun  creating with this collection and have more ideas coming up! Can't wait to see what you are going to create. Please remember to tag us in on your Doodlebug Design projects on all your Socials so we can see! Thanks for stopping by y'all! Until next time; doodle-doo!

DOGGONE CUTE PUP CARDS | with Karen

Dog lovers unite! Nope, animal lovers unite! Actually - anyone who loves a cute Doodlebug collection, unite! The Doggone Cute collection has hit the crafty table and I am "paw-sitively" smitten. This collection is everything that will make you smile - like I did the whole time I was "having a ball" making my first set of cards.

All-3-One

To create this first set of cards, I grabbed the Doggone Cute assortment of Cards & Envelopes and got to work layering some amazing patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad and some of the cute shapes from the Bits & Pieces die cuts. I love the bits and pieces because they add great dimensions and some really fun shapes - like mini pieces of lined paper and gift tags!

Die-cuts-1

From there, I grabbed the Odds & Ends die cuts and started adding some cute little characters. This part actually took me forever because I was having a really hard time choosing the pups I wanted to feature! There is a huge variety of poses and colours in this set - it really is so much fun to sort through.

Die-Cuts-2

Once I finally got those all sorted, I topped off the cards with a sentiment from the Chit Chat pack and I was all set. All of the die cuts were added with foam adhesive just to give a little bit of dimension between each of them and the card background. They are still thin enough to pop in the mail, but have a little fun pop!

All-3-Two

Dog lover or not, I hope these little cards made you smile, especially if you are having a "ruff" day". I really can't wait to get back to the crafty table to keep creating with this collection. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
