LOTS O' LUCK GIFT SETS | with Stephanie Isom

Hello, Stephanie here - and I'm so excited to be posting my first project as part of the Doodlebug Design Team!  Today, I'm using the Lot's O' Luck Collection  which seems appropriate for March, and St. Patty's Day is in just a few days. My project includes tags, gift bags and small cards, all using the 6x6 paper pad, card stock stickers and odds and ends die pieces from this collection.

Aren't the little leprechauns the cutest?  For the first bag I used this digital cut file from the Silhouette store and I used a tag die for the mini tag. For the scene I used stickers and some yellow-striped paper for the hill.

For the second gift bag I used a generic black bag and layered pieces of patterned paper using two different sized banner dies.  I added the little leprechaun with foam squares then punched holes in the sentiment banners and shamrock and tied them to the handle with some beetle black doodle twine.  The small card is 3x3 and I just cut and scored that using regular white card stock and layered patterned paper and stickers for the scene and sentiment.

And...since I had so much fun making the first set, I decided to make a rainbow Happy Birthday set. Lots O' Luck can definitely be used for more than just St. Patrick's Day!

Such bright happy colors to work with!!

Hopefully these projects give you some inspiration to get working on your own tags and bags using the fun and versatile Lot's o' Luck Collection!  Happy Crafting!

CREATING A RAINBOW WITHOUT ALL THE CUTTING | with Tegan

Do you ever want to create a rainbow design on your layout, but don't have the time to cut out all of the arches in various colors? Well, rainbow stripe patterned paper to the rescue! It still gives you all the colors and fun that a die cut rainbow would, but is a little easier to create! I also used the Lots O' Luck collection on this layout, which was perfect for documenting the picture of my niece and her colorful stuffed bear.

I first started by opening  the Doodlebug Design rainbow with Clouds cut file and welding the rainbow together in my cut file software. I then used the Rainbows End patterned paper to cut out one large rainbow. I used the multicolor rainbow chevron stickers from the This & That Sticker Sheet and heart Mini Icons stickers to create a fun design above the rainbow.

I embellished my photo with Odds & Ends pieces, This & That stickers, and Sprinkles round enamel dot stickers!

I then used the Doodlebug Design Rainbow with Clouds cut file to cut out the cloud and added journaling to it. I embellished my journaling space with more Odds & Ends pieces (my favorite in case you haven't noticed!), Mini Icons Stickers, and more Blue Jean Assortment Sprinkles. I love that the Sprinkles can be used to add little colorful accents around a layout!

Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to use rainbow stripe patterned paper to make a bold statement on your next layout!

LETTING THE PHOTO BE YOUR INSPIRATION | Layout with Virginia

When you have the opportunity to be a 'cool' scrapbooker you take it when you can right? LOL! The goats in the photo along with this Irish cutie was dual inspiration for me to use the fabulous Lots O' Luck collection and the trendy acronym GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) for my page title.

I used the beautiful smaller scaled pattern papers in the 6x6 paper pad to create a mosaic tiled backdrop using 3/4" vertical strips.  This is a great way to add a fun graphic texture to the page.

Thanks for dropping by the blog today, hope you have a wonderful and crafty day!

LOTS O' LUCK - 3D Brag Box | with Traci

You've heard of a "brag book"- like a little album Grandma keeps in her purse to share photos with her friends?  Well, how about a Brag Box?  I was playing with some 3D box cut files recently and found this one HERE by Lori Whitlock.  I love the darling little heart cut outs, and it gave me an idea for a cute photo project.

Check out this video to see the entire project, and then I'll give you some tips on making one for yourself!

After purchasing and downloading Lori's 3D heart box, I used my Silhouette software to enlarge the two box pieces so that the square in the center of the lid was 4x4".  I cut out both pieces and used a strong liquid glue to adhere them.

Next, I cut a small slit in the top of my box lid, and put one end of a  30" ribbon through the top of the lid.  I adhered the end to the top of the lid and covered it with several layers of card stock, cherry petite prints, and Lots of Luck pattern paper.

To add the enamel heart sprinkles to the white box base, I used a craft knife to position each heart through the cut outs in the lid.  I will definitely be getting more of these!  Love them!

For the photos, I adhered six 3.5"x3.5" white card stock squares along the ribbon and added 3.25"x3.25" pattern paper to the front and back of each square.  Each of my 12 photos were cropped to 3"x3" and adhered over the pattern paper mats.

Finally, I adhered 6 DoodlePop hearts (3 back to back) to finish off the end of the ribbon.  It was a fun way to showcase a few pictures of "the bug", aka my granddaughter :). Thanks for stopping by!

LOTS O' LUCK Flip Book + Video | with Nathalie

I am excited to share a new piece of happy mail with you today. I created a birthday themed flip book with the Lots O Luck collection and I think it will make its recipient smile, don't you agree?
The base is made from one sheet of 12x12 textured cardstock (in Cotton Candy) and the patterned papers are cut from the 6x6 Lots O Luck Paper pad.
I used a variety of embellishments from the collection, including die-cuts, shaped Sprinkles and stickers. I also added some cute clips, washi tapes and twine. You will find a more detailed list of supply at the bottom of the post. They are hard to see here but I love the gold foil touches throughout this collection!
I created a couple pockets to fill with goodies and there are a few additional surprises when you lift the flaps. Here's a look with everything unveiled:
This short video will show you better the interactive bits (and the closed flip book):

Whether it's for Saint Patrick's Day or not, I hope to have inspired you to create some happy mail with the Lots O Luck collection! It's really so much fun!

LOTS O' LUCK - Layout | with Caroli

My kids love to have their photo taken, but getting a non blurry pic with both of them on it is such a hard task.
Few weeks ago we were walking around our neighborhood and suddenly they started posing and asking "mom, we like this spot, take a pic of us here!" I knew it was my lucky day! I snapped a few photos of my babies and made a layout about that happy moment :)

I love how colorful and cheerful Lots O' Luck collection is, the rainbows and ldybugs make me so happy.

I used a lot of stitching and transparency in this layout. One tip for achieving perfect sewing machine stitching is not using the pedal but making it work with your hand, this way the stitching will be exactly where you want.

This is such a simple layout about a random happy moment, I love it! Volume, texture and transparency are the main elements and I think it cam out cute. I hope you like this idea.

Have a lovely day my friends!

LOTS O' LUCK - Planner Pages | with Anabelle

I think I may have found my pot of gold for March. My beautiful gold Daily Doodle planner arrived the other day and I love it. It is sparkly and so pretty! Of course, I knew I had to set it up for this month. It is the perfect match for the Lots O' Luck collection.

I started off by covering my insert with the gold and white cardstock. You can never have enough gold, especially for a Saint Patrick's Day themed planner!  It was the perfect backdrop to create with. I added some stickers and a Doodlepop. Opening my planner and seeing this just makes me smile!

Decorating my front pocket is always one of my favorite things to do when I create my new set up. I love the sweet leprechaun and girl and boy characters from the Odds and Ends. And the sprinkles are always a fun addition to my pockets.

I set up my March calendar and love how it turned out. I used the Abigail stickers for the month and some Teensy Type stickers for the dates. A trick to do this is not to worry about labeling each day. I ran out of 2s, so I strategically placed some larger stickers on the boxes. This makes the design look cohesive and saves you from having to use too many numbers.

I created my weekly spread on the graph paper insert. I used the Abigail stickers for the days of the week and created spaces with the Fancy Frills borders. I was so excited to try out some stamps, too. The cloud stamp from the set was used to hold the date. I added some shamrocks on the page and finished off with some of the cute sentiment stamps as a decoration. To create my to do list, I used the smallest star stamp and made bullet points with it. Everything was colored with my colored pencils.

As you can see, the Gold Daily Doodle is the perfect planner for March. I loved adding all of the Saint Patrick's Day goodies to it. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

LOTS O' LUCK - Layout | with Virginia

Top o' the morning everyone! Hope you are having a great day and if you are celebrating St. Patrick's day, may there be lots of green cheer in your future!

For today's page I travelled back in time to the film strip era! Remember when we held them up to a light or window squinting to see the photos, fun times! Incorporating the film strip is a great way to showcase many photos. On my page I made the main photo larger and the supporting photos the same size fitting them side-by-side onto the filmstrip.

I used a film strip die cut, I cut it in half (horizontal) to fit the height of the photos and revealed just enough of the filmstrip's top and bottom edges to mimic a filmstrip roll across my page.

Have you seen the sweet mini icon sticker rolls? These are so awesome, if you look closely at the photo you can see how cleanly the sticker peels away from the negative backing!  I applied the leprechauns, clover and shamrock stickers to white card stock circles and used it as a repetitive element to enhance the theme of my page.

The Odds & Ends are just packed to the brim with cute ephemera and I can swoon all day over the gold foiled element. Thanks for dropping by the blog today, cheers!
