LOTS OF LOVE MINI COPTIC BOOKS | with Lisa

Are you a sucker for cuteness too... ? Everything mini sized is cute, right? :)  For this project, I created the teeny-tiniest thing I've ever done... super small coptic books using the envelope die from the Love Notes Doodle Cuts in the Lots of Love collection.

When I saw the envelope dies in the collection, I was sold! I knew I needed to create something with them. I love to create coptic books and so I thought, it could be a cool idea to create super small ones.

So to start, I used the die to cut out 12 envelopes from different patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pad.  Then I also cut out a few patterned paper rectangles and folded them to have "pages" to include in the album too.

I then used embroidery thread and used the book binding technique to make coptic books out of the envelopes and pages. I also added some beads to the spine.

To each envelope, I added some tiny tags and notes, I cut out from the 6x6 paper pad. I decorated the front with doodle pops, shaped sprinkles and stickers. I think they turned out super cute!!! :) They're such a sweet little gift for friends for Valentine's Day :)

I hope you like my cute mini books and are inspired to create some too. Thank you for stopping bye, see you soon!

LOTS OF LOVE NOTES TO SELF LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Raise your hand if you are always jotting down little notes/reminders for your self!  If you are like me, then there is plenty of post it notes close by.  Well,  I wanted to bring some of those notes onto a page; and as soon as I saw the new Love Notes Doodle Cuts and Lots of Love collection, I knew I could combine them in this page:

The small envelope and note dies in the Love Notes Doodle Cut were perfect to create all the small envelopes and notes from the 6x6 paper pad. I even trimmed a few of the cut apart journal cards from the 6x6 paper pad to work inside the envelopes.

Once, I had all the envelopes and notes ready, I created a vertical line of them on my layout.  Petite Prints are always the best way to add subtle color to the background. I wanted to focus on the color combination of soft pink and teal.

I added my photo to the center of the page, then used  the Love Notes DoodlePop to bring the idea of the page together.  All the new Chit Chat, Odds and Ends, and Bits and Pieces worked nicely together in clusters around the page.

With so much pattern in the envelopes, I decided to keep my title work simple. The My Type alpha are always a favorite font for title work.  All that it needed was a small sticker, and done!

What better way to add your journaling, than to write it in each of the little notes in the envelopes. I used each of the notecards to add some of the notes in my post if notes.

I love how this turned out, and I hope that this inspires you to check the new LOTS OF LOVE collection and all the new DOODLE CUTS ... you will love them!  XO

LOTS OF LOVE CARDS | with Karen

In my family, the time between the New Year and early March is relatively quiet. We don't have any birthdays or extravagant holidays, so it is a nice time to craft and just catch up with friends and family. With the launch of Doodlebug's new Lots of Love collection, I knew this collection would be perfect to use to create some cards for just that purpose.

One of my favourite new additions in this collection are the Stand Alone Doodle Cuts so I decided to feature them on these cards. While I love that Doodlebug always creates a coordinating die cut set for their adorable stamps, I also love these stand alone dies that allow me to create some fun shapes that add a bit of texture and layers to my cards and feature the adorable paper prints that Doodlebug creates.

The Love Notes Doodle Cuts feature these adorable little envelopes in two sizes that are perfectly sized for greeting cards. And with a little piece of paper and some cute hearts, you can embellish to your hearts content.

The Hello There! set features a rainbow theme with added clouds, hearts and this great "hello" sentiment. The individual pieces of the rainbow will have you creating all sorts of variations featuring your favourite papers from Doodlebug - patterned or not! I happened to layer two cuts of the sentiment together just to give it a bit more pop on my cards.

And then the best part is that you can mix and match the two sets together as well and come up will all sort of fun combinations!

I am off to write some messages in these little cards to family and friends. And then, well, I might just head back to the crafty table to create some more of these cards!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
