NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS STAMPED CARDS | with Maryám

Aren't the Doodle Stamps the cutest thing ever?! I was so excited to receive the new wonderful stamps and die sets from the Night Before Christmas Collection in my mail. As soon as I saw them, I knew that I wanted to create some holiday-themed cards for friends and family so I prep my desk, grabbed some paper and started working.

To create my cards I started by stamping some of the images from the Visions of Sugarplums and Night Before Christmas Stamp Set onto white smooth cardstock with an alcohol-friendly black ink. Then, while I was stamping some of the candies from Visions of Sugarplums Stamp Set, I decided that instead of having each image as an individual piece, I would turn them into a pattern instead and that way make my own DIY "pattern paper".

After I finished stamping the images, I first colored the candy pattern I created using some Copic markers. Since there were several images to color in this pattern, the whole panel took me a few hours to complete but was worth every second because I had lots of fun! Once the coloring was done, I added some glossy accents in some of the candies to make them look more realistic. Following up, I trimmed the panel at 4" x 5 1/4" inches, mounted it onto an A2-size top folding card, added a sentiment, and the card was done!

For my second card, I colored three more images- a gingerbread house and two trees- again, using some Copic markers and also added some glossy accents in some areas for extra detail. Next, I created a nice Christmas scene with the colored images and added some pattern paper from the Night Before Christmas 6 x 6 Paper Pad, a sentiment, and some sequins and sprinkles to finish it all up.

Now for the last card, I decided to try a different approach and create a super fun shaker card. To create my window shaker I used the Nesting Scallops Doodle Cuts and backed it up with an acetate piece. I then grabbed some Sugar Coating Glitter and some Sequins and filled the window with a mix of them. Last but not least, for the sentiment, I went with the classic "Merry Christmas" and finished up the card by adding some sequins, mini jewels, and sprinkles.

That is it for today. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and liked the ideas I shared. If you have any questions just leave a comment below or send me an email. I'll be happy to help you

Have a great day!

PUMPKIN SPICE FALL DAYS LAYOUT | with Maryám

One of my favorite things from the Pumpkin Spice Collection is the cute little creatures. You can find from bears to foxes, to raccoons, to hedgehogs, and more! For today's layout, I am going to be using a cute bear with a very stylish scarf from the Beary Cute Doodle-Pops Cardstock Sticker.

To create my layout, I started out by selecting some pieces from the Odds & Ends Set. The idea was to create a scene with the bear on it so I selected some trees, a wood fence, and some grass. I played with different dispositions until I decided on one. Then, I adhered all the elements in place and left some space on the left to add my photo and journaling later.

To embellish the scene, I added some bubble text with fun sayings from the Chit Chat Set just like they were coming out from the images. In addition, I also added cardstock stickers and little sprinkles from the same collection here and there.

For my title, I used "fall" from the Chit Chat Set and also the word "days" for which I used the Abigail Cardstock Stickers in Bon Bon color to keep a cohesive look on the page.

Now, let's take a look at the finished layout!

PUMPKIN SPICE BEST DAY EVER LAYOUT | with Maryám

Oh, happy fall days! As you may already know, I love fall. It's not as hot as summer and it's not as cold as winter, which makes it the perfect season. For today's layout, I am going to be working with the adorable Pumpkin Spice Collection to document some photos of my sister I took a couple of years ago.

To create my layout, I started by printing the photos and journaling. I had sketched the layout idea in my mind before so that's why I decided to start with the photos this time. Once the photos were printed, I added some layers behind them and used foam adhesive to adhere them in place.

Following up, I put my title for which I used "happy" and "best day ever", both die-cuts from the Chit Chat set, plus a bubble text on the top right corner of the right photo.

To embellish the page, I added a few little flowers and some of the cute adorable little creatures from the Odds & Ends Set. To add some more texture, I added sprinkles to the center of each flower and around the page.

Last but not least, I added some big green brackets from the This & That 12x12 Sticker Sheet, and with that, I completed my layout!

Let's take a look at the finished layout!

PUMPKIN SPICE AUTUMN LAYOUT | with Maryám

Is anyone missing summer right now? Well... not me. I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of summer but I do love fall. I love going to the park near my house and see how trees change their colors. For today's post, I am going to be sharing with you a layout I created using the gorgeous Pumpkin Spice Collection, which happens to be one of my favorite Doodlebug collections of all time.

For this layout, I decided to document an old photo my sis took of me in the park during fall time. I really wanted to recreate the park scene of me sitting on the grass under a tree, so I started by cutting a tree branch from Kraft Buffalo Check-Wood Grain Cardstock.  After I cut the branch I decided it needed a little bit more texture, so what I did was to adhere the branch to a white piece of cardstock, then punch holes with a craft pick all the way around it, and then did some simple back hand-stitching. Once I finished, I carefully (I didn't want to mess up the embroidery part) fussy cut the branch leaving a small white border, and adhered the branch in place with some foam adhesive.

Following up, I fussy cut a bunch of leaves from the Unbe-leaf-able Pattern Paper, and some flowers from the Sunflower Fields Pattern Paper. Next, I adhere the flowers and leaves around the tree branch and added sprinkles in the center of each one of the flowers.

Continuing with the process, I added my photo, title, and journaling. For the title, I used "hello autumn" from the Chit Chat Set.

To add some more fun to the page, I added cute little creatures from the Mini Icon Sticker Set (comment below if you can find them!), as well as some fun words from the Chit Chat Set.

Let's take a look at the completed layout!

I had so much fun creating this layout and I think it also made me a little bit hungry too lol. I hope you guys enjoyed this post too and liked the ideas I shared. If you have any questions just leave a comment below or send me an email. I'll be happy to help you.  Have a wonderful day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAYOUT | with Maryám

Sunshine and Sprinkles! Does it sound like fun already?! Well, that's because for today's project we are going to be using the new Sunshine Alphabet Stickers and also the awesome Confetti Shape Sprinkles, both available and all of our favorite Doodlebug colors.

To create my layout, I started by cutting some strips from the 12 x 12 Party Plaid Girl Paper. Then, I selected my favorite ones, arranged them in a way they look nice to the eye, and adhere them to the page starting from bottom to top.

Next, to embellish my page, I decided to incorporate some Confetti Shape Sprinkles and add them on to some of the elements of the stripes to add some extra detail and texture. For example, in the strip with cupcakes, I added little circle-shaped confetti sprinkles as toppings.

To add some more fun, I added some cute Odd & Ends Pieces around the page, as well as some cardstock stickers from the same Hey Cupcake collection.

Last, but not least, for my title, I used the gorgeous Sunshine Alphabet Stickers in- Swimming Pool, Limeade, Bumblebee, Tangerine, Bubblegum, and Cupcake to spell out the word "birthday" and also Happy Birthday - Doodle Cuts for the word "Happy".

Now, let's take a look at the finished layout!

SWEET BIRTHDAY CARDS | with Maryám

I love my doodle stamps! In case you didn't know, in every new collection Doodlebug releases, we usually get 1 or 2 new sets of clear photopolymer stamps, plus coordinating dies to help us cut all the little images. For today's project, I'm going to be mainly using the stamp sets from the Hey Cupcake and Party Time collections to create two adorable cards.

To create my cards, I started by stamping some images from the Doodle Stamps - Birthday Boy, Doodle Stamps - Birthday Girl, and Doodle Stamps - Party Animal - Girl onto smooth white cardstock. Next, I grabbed my box of Polychromos Colored Pencils and started to color my images trying to follow the same color palette from the collections I mentioned earlier.

Once I finished coloring my images, I grabbed the coordinating dies for each one of the stamps sets I used before, positioned all the dies in place, taped them with a little bit of washi tape to secure them in place, and run them through my die-cutting machine.

Now that I had all elements I needed, I played with some different compositions until I decided on one. For the first, I decided to do go with a girl-themed card and used some pattern paper from the Hey Cupcake collection to make it more fun and colorful. For the sentiment, I used "It's Your Birthday" from the Doodle Stamps - Happy Birthday which I white heat embossed on black cardstock.

For my second card, I used the two remaining images I colored- a cook boy and a cake- and created a fun composition in which it looks like the little boy just made a delicious cake. For the sentiment, I used "happy birthday" that I white heat embossed on black cardstock, and finished up my project by adding sequins, sprinkles, and of course, the brand-new mini jewels that are an absolute favorite of mine!

That is it for today. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and liked the ideas I shared. If you have any questions just leave a comment below or send me an email. I'll be happy to help you.

Have an awesome day!

SPECIAL DELIVERY HELLO BABY LAYOUT | with Maryám

Some months ago I created a layout for the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog featuring the sweet Bundle of Joy collection that you can see HERE. I really liked how it turned out and it is definitely on my personal list of my all-time favorite layouts. That's why for today's project, I decided to create a new layout inspired by the one I mentioned before but this time using the Special Delivery Collection to create a baby boy version!

To create my layout, I started by selecting some pattern papers from the Special Delivery 6 x 6 Paper Pack. Next, I took one of the dies from the Doodle Cuts - Mini Tags Set and cut about five tags from each paper design using my manual die-cutting machine. Next, I put the tags together in stripes of five each using mini brads in coordinating doodlebug colors, and then. added them to my page using liquid adhesive.

Continuing with the process, I added my photo (thanks to my little cousin!), title, and journaling on the bottom portion of the layout.

Last but not least, I added a bunch of embellishments around the page from the ChitChat and Odds & Ends Sets representing the story I wanted to tell. In addition, I also added some sprinkles and cardstock stickers from the Special Delivery Collection and some Doodlebug Boutique Buttons for extra texture.

Let's take a look at the finished layout!

BUNDLE OF JOY 8.5 x 11 LAYOUT | with Maryám

I absolutely adore the colors from the new Bundle of Joy Collection. Even though Doodlebug is known for its signature bright colors, they decided to something a little bit different this time and introduce a new softer color combination with pinks, greens, and corals which has now become one of my favorites. In addition, to the wonderful color palette, there are also AMAZING baby-themed illustrations available in different products- like stickers, stamps, etc.- throughout the entire collection.
For today's layout, I decided to focus on using my favorite images/icons from the Odds&Ends Die-Cut Pieces Set. To begin, I started by selecting a bunch of potential pieces. Next, I drew a circle with a pencil on the center of my cardstock and started to add the Die-Cut Pieces with foam squares to give some dimension. Continuing with the process, I added stickers from the same collection and also sprinkles and shape sprinkles to complete the wreath design.
For the background of my page, I used Animal Quackers Paper and covered it with a layer of white gesso to tone down the paper a bit, and that way give the other elements of the page more prominence. I also added a thin border all the way around the page using Baby Blooms Paper.

Next up, I placed the photo, title, and journaling in the center of the wreath I had created earlier. For the title, I used a banner from the Chit Chat Set that says "Sweetest Baby Girl" and lastly, finished up my layout doing some stamping under the journaling.
Let's take a look at the finished layout!
