6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - RECAP BUNNY HOP ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Crafty Friends, I want to take a moment to recap this enjoyable project I've been working on for weeks. Before we dive in, I want to share a few new pages! I used two collections throughout the album: Bunny Hop and Hello Again. I love how well these collections complement each other, as this album captures Easter memories and a birthday in the same month.

I created a fun pocket on the front to add some interest to the white background. I used 6 1/8" x 8 1/2" paper from the Bunny Hop collection for the front, and for the pockets, I used the same paper but cut to 7" x 3 1/2". Additionally, I included some light pink cardstock from the coordinating collection. I scored the pockets at 1/2" on three sides, adhered the bottom pocket 1 1/2" to the top pocket, and placed both pockets on my inside cover. These pockets were designed to hold some fun little tags I created earlier, along with her birthday and Easter cards.

I really love adding texture to my pages with paper. I used paper 8461 from Bunny Hop, which features stripes for this one. I cut each stripe to 6 inches and stitched it down the middle using my sewing machine. Then, I lifted the top and bottom of the strips to create layers and texture, leaving the thread a little longer at the ends.

Next, I continued with the same paper on the other side and placed a white mat, stitching all around it with my sewing machine. I added Easter eggs and a doodle pop and used the eggs as part of the title.

Regarding the tag, it opens from right to left. I used light pink paper from the coordinating cardstock, measuring 8" x 7", and scored it at 4" along the longer side. Then, I matted it on a beautiful floral paper and included a shaker tag that I had previously made, featuring the title "Easter.

Here’s the recap with photos : we enjoyed playing with doodle cuts, sprinkles, tags, and much more!

Like always, we can't wait to see your projects created using the new 6" X 8" albums!! Xo, Conny

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - RECAP WINTER WONDERLAND PAGES | with Traci

Hey scrappers! Traci here and today, I'm sharing the final post of my Build a Snowman Mini Album. I'll be sharing my favorite pages, some of the fun elements I created, and recapping all the goodies that come with Doodlebug's new Mini Albums. With one more month of winter, I hope this project gives you a little inspiration for saving this season's memories.

Build A Snowman Winter Scrapbook Album with a snow scene, snowmen, a reindeer, a cabin, and a big polka dot bow

I created this scrapbook with the 6x8 Mini Album in swimming pool and the super cute Winter Wonderland Collection. For all the details on how I designed the cover, click Build A Snowman Album Part 1

Winter scrapbook album page with 2 folding cards, snow, mountains, and a wood cabin

Doodlebug's Mini Albums include so many great features and this first page is one of them. It's 1 of 5 chipboard tabbed dividers and I added pretty patterned papers and 2 flippies to it. These folding cards were made with 3x4 cards and have space inside for 4 photos.

Winter scrapbook album page with a pocket, journaling cards, and snowmen

Another great detail of the Mini Album is that it comes with 4 pocket pages. Some are positioned along the bottom and others along the side. I like to add cards to mine that can be used as photo mats or for journaling, and ... tuck all my special little memorabilia inside.

Winter scrapbook album page with lots of cute animals, snowflakes, and a yeti

The album also has 4 colorful card stock pages like the pistachio polka one above. I folded mine in half to create a fold-out page. Then, I added some cute die cuts and photo mats. For details on the last 3 photos and to see more pages, click Build A Snowman Album Part 2

Winter Scrapbook Album Page with a fold-out element, snowflakes, flowers, and a cute reindeer

I love making mini albums but their smaller size can limit how many pictures and embellishments can be added. So, I incorporate layers that add as much space as possible. In the photo above, I created a fold-out page AND a little deer flippie on the front. Now, this gives you room for 4 pics!

Winter Scrapbook Album Page with a pocket, a tri-fold photo mat, snowflakes, flowers, and a cute yeti

Here is one of the pockets that are along the side of the page. I like that Doodlebug mixed them up a bit. For this one, I covered it with pretty papers and added a tri-fold pull-out card that's loaded with photo mats and cute die cuts.

The album also comes with 10 assorted clear page protectors. Above is one of them and it's divided into two 4x6 inch spaces. I added some colorful prints, enamel shape sprinkles, die-cuts, and ... another flippie! For details on the last 3 photos and to see more pages, click Build A Snowman Album Part 3.

Winter Wonderland Scrapbook Album Page with a fold-out, acetate snowflakes, gems, a pocket, and cute journaling cards

This layout has a bunch of interactive goodies. I created a fold-out page (seen on the left) for a large photo on the front and back. Then, I added some acetate snowflakes and few sparkling mini jewels.

On the right, I created a pocket and tucked more journaling cards inside. Then, I made the front of the pocket a flippie and added the This & That scalloped sticker on top.

Open that flippie, and there's a 2nd pocket inside with two little 3x3 inch square cards. I love the interaction with scrapbook pages. What a fun surprise to open each layer and find sweet photos and handwritten notes.

Here's another one of the colored cardstock pages that are included in the album. I decorated with this one with a few winter die cuts and added another flippie that I made with a 3x4 card. For details on the last 3 photos and to see more pages, click Build A Snowman Album Part 4.

My Build a Snowman Winter Album is complete! I hope I was able to give you some fun layout ideas and you're excited to create your own scrapbook with Doodlebug's 6x8 inch Mini Album. Have a great day! 😊

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - RECAP DOODLE-POP STORAGE | with Karen

Okay, I have a confession to make - I do not typically make scrapbook albums. So when I received the new 6x8 album from Doodlebug and was challenged to come up with something to share with you all, I was excited to try something a bit different. From that, the idea of using the product as a sticker album was born and there was no better product to feature inside a sticker than than my favourite Doodle-pops!

Now if we are being real for a minute, this was a project that was actually long overdue! I have Doodle-pops everywhere and this was a really good excuse to get organizing. I did not actually put all of my Doodle-pops in the album - I would need about 20 albums to do that (no, really). So I sorted through them all, picked my favourites and went from there. The idea was that maybe if it wasn't a "favourite" it could go in a box for use on a project while my favourites stay safely in the album. It's a good theory - and while I do have the rest all sorted in a box now, it remains to be seen whether they will get used! :) Here are some of my favourite layouts from the album featuring a few different techniques for putting them in the sleeves:

All the Doodle-pops are removeable so I could, technically, still use them if I ever get he urge. Yeah, not likely, but still possible! :) In a strange way, even though there are no pictures in this album, it is still a little bit of a memory album for me too. Most of my favourites remind me of moments or people in my life that I love. It's funny how it didn't seem like a memory book at first but someone how turned into one anyway! I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the pages! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - PART 4 BUNNY HOP ALBUM | with Conny

Hello, Crafty Friend! It’s Conny here, excited to share more of my journey with this stunning 6 x 8 album. I've lovingly explored every nook of it, beginning from the delightful exterior and delving into the enchanting pages within, showcasing the vibrant colorful of both the Hello Again and Bunny Hop collections. Each page springs to life with color and creativity, transforming my mini album into a tapestry of memories. I’ve truly relished watching my talented teammates at Doodlebug infuse their own distinct flair into this project, each contribution adding to the album’s charm and vibrancy. It's been a delightful experience!

For these pages, I worked with two cut files that I obtained from the Silhouette Design Store. I started with a 6" x 8" pocket and aimed to create an interactive page using the Cute Calico paper from the  Hello Again Collection.  I cut it to 8 ¼" x 10" and scored it at 6 ¼".

For the letter "B," featuring the Easter Bunny cut with white cardstock, I used ink and a brush to blend colors that matched the collection. I embellished this page with Bunny Hop Chit Chat words, Hello Again Shape Sprinkles and puffy stickers to complete the flip page.

I created a cut-and-fold Easter Bunny background by cutting it out with my Cricut machine at 6" x 8" and I placed it on top of the floral Green Thumb paper from the Hello Again Collection. With the background paper attached, I flipped the bunnies upwards to achieve a peekaboo effect.

If you missed my previous posts you can find my cover post here, and pages posts here and here.

Have a great day & Happy Valentine's Day! Xo, Conny

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - MORE PAGES - WINTER WONDERLAND MINI ALBUM | with Jen

Hi Everyone!  Happy Valentine's Day!  I'm back today with some new pages I created for my 6x8 Winter Wonderland Mini Album.  If you missed my first posts, you can find my cover post here, and my previous pages here and here The last fun elements included in the Doodlebug 6x8 albums are heavy cardstock inserts that match the album color and pocket inserts. The pocket inserts come in a traditional pocket style and a side loading pocket style.

The heavy cardstock inserts are perfect for small layouts. I've added photo mats and Snow Much Fun Chit Chat or This and That Stickers. Because they coordinate with the albums they also coordinate with any Doodlebug paper collection.

I used two of the cardstock inserts to mat the front and back inside cover or my album. By simply trimming off the binder holes on the side they fit perfectly as mats that can then be decorated. I used Chit Chat and Odds and Ends on mine.

For the pocket inserts the journaling cut-aparts fit perfectly on the side loading pockets. I've turned one of them upside down so my pocket is on the opposite side. The back sides of all the pockets are all perfect for a small layout.

For the traditional pocket inserts I've matted these with petite prints and the 12x12 collection. The pockets are big and will hold lots of photo mats.

I have a process video and walkthrough of the completed album here.

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS PART 4 WINTER WONDERLAND PAGES | with Traci

Hi ladies! Traci here and today, I'm sharing the last five pages of my Build a Snowman Winter Scrapbook. (If you missed my other posts about this album, be sure to check them out here, here, and here.) I created this project with a 6x8 inch Mini Album in swimming pool and the super cute Winter Wonderland Collection.

This first layout has lots of fun goodies. I covered the page in the Snow Much Fun snowflake print and added a fold-out (seen on the left) using the Nightfall paper. The fold-out has a large photo mat on the front, one on the back, acetate snowflakes from the Odds & Ends, and few sparkling mini jewels.

On the right, I created a little pocket out of white card stock. I added the scalloped "snow much fun" sticker from the This & That sheet to the front and some 3x4 cards from the Cozy Cardigan paper inside. These can be used as photo mats or for journaling.

But wait, there's more! I also made the front of the pocket a flippie and added a second pocket inside! I tucked 2 little 3x3 inch square cards inside that are from Doodlebug's Cards and Envelopes collection.

I covered this page with the Nightfall print, added a photo mat, and decorated with cute die cuts from the Odds & Ends and Chit Chat.

On this layout, I added the Sweater Weather paper as the base and created two mats using the Nightfall and Snowflowers prints. The cute bunny rabbit and pink tree die cuts are from the Odds & Ends.

This pistachio polka dot is 1 of the 4 colored cardstock pages that come in the album. I added the strip of flowered paper, a cute flippie I made with a 3x4 card, and a photo mat. Then, I decorated with a few Odds & Ends die cuts and the "family" sticker from the This & That.

On the backside of that page, I added white cardstock, 2 photo mats made from the Just Chillin' stripe print, some die cuts, and the "Hurray for snow" sticker from the This & That.

I hope these layouts give you some fun winter themed ideas and you're inspired to create your own scrapbook with Doodlebug's 6x8 inch Mini Album. Until next time, happy scrappin'! 😊

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - PART 4 DOODLE-POP STORAGE | with Karen

I am not sure if you are like me, but when I was growing up, I used a photo album for my sticker book. There was something so satisfying about peeling the clear cover up off of the page and organizing (and reorganizing) my stickers on those pages. Although I have loved the look of the pages I have done in my Doodle-pop sticker album so far, I wanted to see if I could more closely replicate that feeling of peeling up a page in this album too. I should have known that Doodlebug product would deliver!  If you missed my previous posts, my cover post can be found here, and my page posts are here and here.

Here's an example of one of the pages I created with some of my all time favourite Doodle-pops! I actually took them off of the packaging and placed them in between the plastic page protectors. This works really well because the page protectors are smooth enough that it is easy to take the Doodle-pops off if I want to, but sticky enough that you don't have to worry about them falling off or moving - exactly like my old sticker book!

To create the lift up "page" I just took my metal ruler and placed it along one of the edges inside the page protector. I then carefully took my blade and cut through the top layer of the page protector. I then repeated the process along another connected edge. This left it attached on the top, but free to lift up from the bottom. I then placed the Doodle-pops inside, added a little foam adhesive square on the bottom to keep the pocket down, and then covered it on the top with a star shared sticker to hide to foam adhesive.

I love the room that this gave me on the pages and I had a lot of fun placing the Doodle-pop around, embellishing with a few stickers here and there for fun!

Here's the fun thing about this technique - because the pages are see through, you can actually create another page behind them with a little scene if you would like. Harry is my favourite Doodlebug character of all time so I knew I wanted to do something special for his feature page. By placing him on a full page clear page protector and building the scene behind him on another page, I preserved the ability to move him if I want, but also created a fun layered look here. I even added the little footprint stickers on top of the page to add even more layers and to hide the foam adhesive square that is keeping the flap down. This was so much fun to create and the page becomes interactive because you could move the Doodle-pops around to your heart's content!

So there you have it - another variation on how you can add your Doodle-pops into your album. This has been an absolute joy to create so far! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
