WORLD CARD MAKING DAY 2019 | Making Mini Cards

Have you ever made a 'mini card'?
They are perfect for sending little notes
or even popping into school lunches!
And, they are ideal at Halloween
to accompany bags of candy!

WCMD 2019 MINI CARDS BY TYA:
Can I just say how much I love these mini cards that Doodlebug makes! I love these little guys! They are perfect for sending just a little note to someone and I have to admit- they are SUPER fun to decorate! Here are the four that I made:
Let's get a close up of these cuties:
This one is made using the Limeade Mini Stitched card base from the Create-a-Cards. The cute purple paper is from the 6x6 Paper Pad, the burst pattern is a new pattern for us and I am LOVING it! I was especially excited that they had them in the 6x6 paper pads. The cute Spider-Boy is from the "Odds and Ends" die cuts. I added some black sprinkles to the eyeballs for some added shine. The small phrase stickers are from the "This and That" Sticker Sheet.
This little cutie is a Doodlepop and she is called "Hazel" - ADORABLE!!!  Doodlepops are a great addition to these smaller cards. The card base here is the Beetle Black Mini Scallop card. The orange paper is from the 6x6 Paper Pad. I mounted Hazel on some white cardstock and then added the "Hocus Pocus" die-cut to the top right and it is from the "Chit Chat" die cuts.
This card has is what Halloween is all about - the CANDY!! The card base here is the Bubblegum Mini Scallop card. I added a mini Swimming Pool Doily to the card base and then punched out a circle from a paper punch. The sucker and candy corn are from the "Odds and Ends" die cuts and the "Candy" speech bubble is from the "Chit Chat" die cuts. the enamel candy is from the adorable "Tiny Treats" Shape Sprinkles.
This last card is a quick and simple one - Sometimes all you need is a cute sticker and some even cuter pattern paper and you have a great card!  The card base here is the Swimming Pool Mini Stitched card. The Gone Batty Sticker is from the "This and That" Sticker Sheet. I also used the purple scallop border sticker that is also from the "This and  That" Sticker Sheet. I added 2 star  "Cute Clips" for some finishing touches on this card. Sometimes simple is better :)

Odds & Ends Challenge: Mini Tag Cards by Wendy Sue

Hi Doodlebug Friends!  It's Wendy Sue Here today, sharing a quick and easy little project that is made even easier with these cute "Odds & Ends" from the "Dragon Tails" collection!

I love giving handmade cards, but sometimes a simple tag will do.  I combined the two with these little folding tags, and the little pieces from the Odds & Ends pack made it super easy!

Here's a look at the process!  Start by cutting a small card into a tag shape.  You can do this with a metal die, a digital cut file, or even by hand!

Now cut the same tag shape from patterned paper.  I used papers from the 6x6 paper pad, and I chose some of the monotone, more subtle patterns.  Place these on the front of the little card.

You'll want to gather some of the small pieces from the Odds & Ends pack.  Add these to the front of the tag/card with foam adhesive dots.

Tie some chunky doodle twine through the top of each card.

And, for an extra little touch, add a small piece to the inside of each tag/card with foam squares.  In this case, I used the small stars:

Here's a quick look at all of the supplies you'll need for this fun project:

And a closer look at all of the tags I whipped up today:

And don't forget an extra little something for the inside:

How will YOU use the Odds & Ends?  Please share your ideas and link us up in the comments!!
