OVER THE RAINBOW TWO-PAGE BIRTHDAY LAYOUT | With Traci

One request I get on my membership site every month is for more classes with double-page, multi photo layouts.  I get it ... as scrapbookers, we take lots of pictures and it's nice to be able to get more than just a few photos on a page.  So today I have an idea for an interactive, multi-photo, two page layout using the Over the Rainbow collection!

For this mosaic style page, I layered four white card stock squares (5.75" x 5.75") on the super colorful stripe sheet called Over the Rainbow.  Then I added 28 pieces of pattern paper (1.25" x 1.25") around the outside of each card stock square.  Don't all of those pretty colors just make you happy?!

Inside the border of little squares, I added two flip-up cards (I call them flippies) that are 4" x 8" and scored/folded at 4" to create cards that can hold 2-3 photos each.  For the front of this one, I added a few cute odds & ends and little Spring Garden shape sprinkles, but you could also add another photo here.  The flippie below is a 4x4 card from the Sprinkles of Color sheet.

In the other two center spots, I added two more photo mats that measure 4" x 4".

For the second page, I adhered a strip of the stripe paper down the left side of the Rainbow Wishes sheet to tie the two pages together.  This page has 4 more photos mats and a cute spot for journaling all about the birthday photos.

Finally, I tucked the Chit Chat flowers and Happy Birthday banner up in the right corner, along with the adorable Hello Sunshine Doodle-Pops.  A few more Spring Garden sprinkles gave this page a little shine.  Love those!  So with these two pages, you'll be able to get 10 photos on your layout!  I hope this inspires you to use the Over the Rainbow collection on your next multi-photo pages!

CHRISTMAS MAGIC MULTI-PHOTO LAYOUT | with Caroli

Finally we are in November and that means that we are allowed to start listening to the Christmas playlist and making plans about how to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!

If you've been here for a while, you will know I LOVE Christmas, everything about it, and I love to celebrate it as many times as possible. Every year I throw a party called Caroli's Christmas Special, and this is what this layout documents.

My idea was to create an all about the page design, So I used two photos and one journaling spot to create a grid style which works best when adding a few different elements onto the one layout. 

I love circle shaped photos, so I used two of them here and there just to make the composition more interesting. Little circle photos are a good idea to add extra details to the story you are telling on your layout but without making the page look too busy.

I created a few embellishment clusters using Odds&Ends, Shape Sprinkles and Doodle Pops. Also, I cut my title with my electronic cutting machine and free font "Better Together". I used white cardstock to make it stand our from all the color of the back.

I love all the color and volume on this page, and also that it has a patterned background!
