NSD 2019 | Down On The Farm Layout with Caroli

I’m thrilled to celebrate with you guys this iNSD and provide a bit of inspiration.

I made this layout using fabulous Down On The Farm collection, which was the perfect fit for the subject of the photos.
This year my boy turned 3 years old, and since he is so much into farm and animals I decided to throw a farm themed party. Of course I also had in mind that I would be able to scrap these pics after the party, haha!
I went for an “around the page” design, which basically means I put a ton of stuff on the borders of the sheet 😋
You know, I love Odds & End packages from all collections and I keep on trying to use as much of them as possible, so in this layout I used a lot of photos and plenty of discuts. Although I’m a big fan of clean and simple style and blank space, once a while I enjoy working on a layout full of stuff! The more variety, the merrier 😊

I hope you like this idea and get inspired to work on this special day! Don’t forget to play along on the giveaways and all the activities we have for you today, happy scrapping!!!

NSD 2019 | Teacher Appreciation Cards with Karen

(Inter)Natinal Scrapbook Day is one of my favourite days of the year and I am so excited to be celebrating with Doodlebug and all of you! Speaking of special days, I wanted to share a little project I am working on today to celebrate another great day coming up next week - International Teacher Appreciation day! I know, I know - there is nothing like crafting at the last minute but I would like to think it is part of my crafty DNA! And if you are like me and you need a quick project here or there, Doodlebug's new Doodle Stamps will save the day! I used two different sets for these cards - using themes that I knew my daughters had explored in school this year. These two sets coordinate with the So Much Pun collection. The "far out" stamps and dies feature all of the cutest outer-space themed icons... ...and the "dino-mite" set is, well...DINOMITE! With a little stamping and colouring, you can have a darling set of cards for the special teachers in you life. Or simply switch out the sentiments and these cards will carry you across a variety of occasions! Whether you are able to get crafty today or just able to soak up some inspiration I hope you find yourself itching to get crafty with all of us here at Doodlebug!
Thanks for stopping by!

NSD 2019 | Heard The Buzz Card with Nathalie

Heard the buzz? We are now half way through International Scrapbook Day and even though I've been having a busy day I had to spend a bit of time playing with paper to celebrate my favorite hobby!

I created this card with the Simply Spring collection and a sketch from the Spring issue of the Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine. The papers are from the Simply Spring 6x6 paper pad, the speech bubble from the Chit Chat pack and the stickers are from the Bloomin' Bugs Doodle Pops.

Have fun today and don't forget to enter the hourly pin giveaways! Happy crafting!

NSD 2019 | Children's Coloring Book with Traci

Happy Scrapbook Day friends!  I'm spending the day playing with some new Doodlebug Design goodies.  I've actually had a project in mind for a few months, but haven't gotten the chance to create it until today.
Doodlebug's new stamp sets inspired me to make a little coloring book for my granddaughter!
I'm using several different sets ... a sun from one, a bunny from another...to create little scenes on her pages.  Oh, and the cute "coloring" title is from the Hoppy Easter Odds & Ends!
Well, I'm off to go stamp some more pages for her.  Hopefully this little book will entertain her for more than two minutes during a road trip we have coming up in a few weeks!
 Happy scrapping everyone!!

NSD 2019 | Dressing Up your Planner Cover with Shellye

How has everyone's (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day been going, have you been crafting up a storm? I have a fun dress-me-up in progress at the moment and have started with the front cover of my Daily Doodles Travel Planner.
First things first - I attached a band super cute green and white polka dot ribbon and matching bow.To adhere the ribbon I've used a permanent fabric adhesive and carefully tucked it under the scallop edge of the planner.
Next, I embellished the elastic closure with a tassel and handmade charm using one of the Jelly Clips.  To make the charm: I removed the paperclip with a craft knife.
Using the "sun" die from oh boy! doodle cuts, I die cut a yellow piece of felt and then attached it to the back of the jelly clip icon.

All of the pieces were added to a lobster claw clip and hung from the elastic!

I hope I've given you some inspiration for decorating your planner cover. Thanks for stopping by!

Now, we just now you are going to ask how Shellye made that incredible bow so we are one step ahead of you! Actually we wanted to know too so we asked Shellye if she had a tutorial and guess what? She does!

NSD 2019 | Simply Spring Daily Doodle Travel Planner Pages with Jomelle

Good morning to everyone on this (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day! You will see in today's blog that I continue to add to my Spring theme set up in my Daily Doodles Travel Planner. Spring colors are all truly refreshing and cheerful and the 3D butterflies in my layout and insert cover are "so tweet".
I decided to decorate another one of my insert cover. I used my butterfly punch from my stash. I used different papers and layered the butterfly for that 3D look.

I just love the 3D butterflies in my weekly layout. The best part about these butterflies is that they lay flat when I close my insert. They also don't make my insert too bulky.
Since the insert are blank and undated, I always use the teensy type stickers for the days of the week and the dates.

April Showers brings May Flowers. Stay tune for my next blog all about May flowers. Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your NSD 2019 and I hope you're able to find a little bit of even allot of time in your crafty space today.
