Here Comes Santa Claus Cut Files with Kathy

Hi Everyone!  It's Kathy today with some fun projects using the fabulous new Here Comes Santa Cut files that are available in the Silhouette Store and in SVG format in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop!  Take a peek...

How cute are these Santas??!!  They were perfect to decorate these K-Cup holders!  The holders hold either one or two K-Cups, which I filled with some fun Cocoa cups!  I thought these would make a fun gift!  I used some Doodlebug Textured Cardstock for the bases, some Here Comes Santa Claus Papers for the background and tags and some new Linen Petite Prints to piece together my Santas!  Here are some close-ups...

I just love that Santa on a Scooter (Silhouette, Lori Whitlock SVG Shop).  He is so fun, and the Standing Santa (Silhouette, Lori Whitlock SVG Shop) looks like he's ready to give a big hug!  Here is a side view of the holders.

I'm so excited for Doodlebug Cut files!  They bring Doodlebug Cuteness to a whole new level!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Boos & Brews Collection: Spooky Layout by Melinda

Hello everyone, it's Melinda with you today and for the first time ever... and I really mean ever, I get to do a Halloween layout using an actual Halloween photo. You see, living on a farm in Australia which doesn't officially celebrate the Halloween holiday, we don't do anything for Oct 31. That was until my teenager and her friends decided they would dress up and have a bit of fun, much to my delight.

I was super excited to get my hands on the Boos & Brews collection this year as I had something to scrap. Albeit, a skeleton face, but hey, who's complaining. I chose to do the photo in black and white so it really stood out from the traditional colours of the collection.

I was Very relieved to have found some white letters in my Doodlebug rub-on collection. I don't know where I would be without them for journaling, especially on black. I also decided that I couldn't go past doing a small amount of collage work on the layout so chose to map out the letters of the word 'eek'. Which fitted perfectly with the picture of my daughter's face.

Just look at the cute little Doodle-Pop spider. There are actually four little Doodle-Pops in this one packet including two wee spiders and the little froggy I used inside the word 'eek' and a fun little bat. I didn't have room for him this time but he will be on a card very soon.

And if you are wondering which paper I have used, it's from the brand new Petite Prints collection and this side is called 'Linen' which is my absolute new favourite.

I just love the new paint splat shapes in this collection so had to use as many as I could fit within the lettering.

So that's it for our Boos & Brews inspiration. We hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful projects from the design team and look forward to spying your work around social media in the near future. Halloween is not that far away so good luck working on those costumes!

Flea Market - 'Together' Layout by Melinda

Flea Market... can it get any cuter? At the mere mention of the name you envisage all sorts of eclectic goodies combined with a dreamy fall color palette and the all important whimsical creatures.  I honestly couldn't wait to get started with my project as I'd already had a photo in mind and I'd even pre-drawn a rough layout... you could say, I was all set to go!

My littlest muchkin was enjoying the last of the warm Autumn weather and decided he'd spend the afternoon with his fur-companion Miss Lizzy. I'm sure the dog wore more sand than was absolutely necessary but she didn't seem to mind. I printed out the photo in a circular shape as I wanted to incorporate it into my round collage instead of plonking a square photo on top.

I used a dinner plate to draw my outer circle for the collage and then adhered the photo in position using foam pop dots so as I wanted it to be slightly raised so I could slide a few bits and pieces underneath the edges. Then it was decorating time!!!

And can you spy the beautiful new 'Petite Print' pattern... this particular side of the double sided patterned paper is called 'Linen' with the reverse side being 'gingham'. I think it is my new favourite of the Petite Range.

As a last little feature I wanted to add one of the tiny little mice and hide him in some washi grass. Awww, he is too cute!
